The book is divided into four parts, the first of which provides an introduction to communication, discussing the theoretical concepts and contextual nature of communication as well as its benefits. The second part goes into more depth, discussing communication in the context of construction project delivery and non-traditional procurement systems, what these two terms actually mean, and what effective communication looks like in these contexts. Part III offers solutions to the inherent challenges of communication, including the use of information and communications technology, while the book’s fourth and final part explores the future of construction communication. Given the scope of its content, the book represents a valuable asset for researchers, professionals and students in the areas of procurement management and construction management.

Book Synopsis Organizational Performance as a Set of Four Dimensions by : P. Maik Hamann
Download or read book Organizational Performance as a Set of Four Dimensions written by P. Maik Hamann and published by . This book was released on 2021 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Organizational performance (OP) is a central construct in strategic management research. While previous studies established the multidimensionality of OP, relationships between OP and its dimensions remain unexplored. It is important to specify these relationships to determine how to measure OP and how to interpret empirical results. We apply confirmatory tetrad analysis and the framework of Edwards (2001) to test our hypotheses regarding the multidimensional construct type of OP based on a large sample of listed U.S. organizations. Our results suggest that OP is best modeled as a set of four related dimensions (i.e., profitability, liquidity, growth, and stock market performance). Our study has far-reaching implications for future research by showing that hypotheses concerning antecedents or consequences of OP should be developed at the dimensional level.
