This objective is to analyze the pushing factors, which lead toward uplifting academic achievement and personality development of university students. To see the relationship between the teacher’s behavior and academic and personality development of university students. This is a preparatory look at to discover how an assessment of teacher attitude toward personality development and academic achievement of university students'. In this experience, the research will offer instructional perception and versatility in students-teachers relationships beyond the confined classroom and lecture rooms. The population for this research was Bhakkar City with focus on University of Sargodha Bhakkar Campus students were randomly selected data about an assessment of teacher attitudes towards personality development and academic achievement of university students. The information was gathered through Online Survey Questionnaire from 100 students and was entered into the SPSS (statistical package for social sciences) to analyze the data. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used i.e. mean, frequency, percentage, Bar Charts and ANOVA was used to find out the effects of teachers’ favoritism on students’ academic learning at university level.

This monograph, however, provides solutions, that is, actions for success identified through the INCLUD-ED project, thus providing both, contrasted data and solid theoretical background and development. Some examples of these actions are interactive groups (or heterogeneous grouping in the classroom with reorganisation of human resources), extension of the learning time, homework clubs, tutored libraries, family and community educative participation, family education, or dialogic literary gatherings. All these actions have been defined as successful educational actions, which mean that they lead to both efficiency and equity. Finally, recommendations for policy and practice are included and discussed.

Book excerpt: The overall intent of No Child Left Behind is to ensure the success of all students; however, within many schools, the components of the law have become the focus of leadership. For example, assessment literacy, measures of achievement, teacher behaviors and attitudes, and student achievement have become high priority issues. The results of student achievement data have been utilized to plan, implement, evaluate, and improve school reform. As a result of increased use of data in schools, need for assessment literacy of all stakeholders has increased. Teacher influence on student achievement and the importance of assessment literacy of teachers have been well documented; however, teacher attitude toward assessments and relationships to student achievement are not well understood nor well documented. This study focused on relationships among student achievement, teacher attitude about assessments, and teacher application of assessment data. Selected teacher demographic variables were used to define groups including grade level taught, length of service and education level. Data was analyzed using quantitative methods. Two major findings were identified. First, teacher self-reported behavior concerning assessments can significantly predict math achievement at the classroom level. Second, differences in attitude toward assessment existed between primary and intermediate teachers.

The role of teachers is of great importance. It is left to the teachers to inculcate personality characteristics, right values – the values of good citizenship producing law abiding and nation loving citizens. The country has to address the need of supplying well qualified and professionally trained teachers in larger numbers in the coming years. At the same time, the demand for quality secondary education is steadily increasing. It is recommended that the aim should be to reach universal secondary education within a maximum of ten years. Given the problems of inadequate quality in most secondary schools due to poor infrastructure and insufficient and poorly equipped teachers, the need for addressing the professional education of secondary teachers acquires great importance. The education of teachers should be such that teachers should set an example and provide for their pupils the ideal of the citizens who is conformist, conservative and cautions. As for their moral character, righteousness, wisdom, honesty are among the adjectives which might be ascribed to them. Teachers should assist the students in their physical, intellectual, religious, social, emotional, spiritual development in the well balanced and harmonious manner and imbue them with human values, which is why teacher education today is an integral part of any educational system. In this study, personality traits of teachers will be analyzed in conjunction with their teaching effectiveness, in order to reach a better understanding of what makes a good teacher, and how to educate him to satisfy the rising demand of the Indian society.
