Most of them have numerous collections such as artifacts, photographs, cultural goods and clothes, traditional weapons, charts and maps that attract many visitors or tourists. Many museums are used as a means of generating good revenue while some are not used well for the same purpose. It may be difficult to generalize about the situation of museums in having conducted a case study on Wolaita Sodo Museum. However, our country’s tourism policy still needs some sort of special attention. Future Absence of well-developed profile, its inappropriateness to people’s with disabilities, lack of good promotion strategy and absence of light source to some sections of the museum are some problems which are looking for urgent response unless the museum will not able to generate good revenue from it. A further research on this area should be carry out in a way that it can help tourism experts, employees of the museum and other concerned bodies to develop good strategies to improve the present practices and to mitigate the existing challenges. This, in return, will help the city to generate revenue and develop from the sector.

Reliable, consistent, and therapeutically correct contraceptive use prevents unintended pregnancies and assures a greater likelihood of uninterrupted or impeded higher education for the young woman. The objective of this study was to assess contraceptive use and identify the factors associated with contraceptive use. An institutional based cross-sectional survey was conducted among 1067 female college students of Wolaita Soddo ATVET from October 21, 2016 to November 9, 2016. Multistage sampling technique with Probabilities proportional to size was used. After data collection, each questionnaire was checked for completeness and consistency. Data was analyzed by manually then different frequency tables, graphs and descriptive summaries were used to describe the study variables and 95% Confidence Intervals to adjust for possible confounding variables.

The need for its production as a staple food is increasing from year to year; however, its productivity is limited, amongst others, by the use of improper sowing methods and inappropriate seed rates. These effects were examined in this present study. Row planting and optimizing seed rate should be in place to increase the productivity of the crop. A field experiment was conducted at Wolaita Sodo Agricultural College Farm, during the 2018/19 main cropping season under rain-fed condition, with the objective of evaluating the response of teff to seeding rates and sowing methods on phenology, growth, yield components and yield of teff. Factorial combinations of two sowing methods (Row and broadcast) and five seeding rates were laid out in a randomized complete block design with three replications. Data related to phenology, growth, yield and yield attributes, were collected and analyzed using Gestate software. Plant parameters such as days to panicle emergence, lodging %, number of total and effect tillers per plant and grain yield were significantly affected by the interaction effect of sowing methods and seed rates. Plots sown with low seeding rate combined with row planting gave high grain yield. Therefore, using treatment combinations of seeding rate of 2.5 kg ha−1 together with the row planting can be advised for teff production in the study area. However, repeated experiment over different soil type, seasons and locations necessitates for conclusive recommendation.

In the last few decades the computer became a more and more important medium for collecting, structuring and providing of information. A relative new invention is the possibility to locate a certain device in the physical space. It was originally developed for military purposes, but comes now to a broader application in the private and public sector. As a rather specific but never the less significant example we would like to present a connection of computing in one of its latest appearances and the possibility of locating devices connected to a totally new kind of information system. We would like to introduce the use of handheld computers for the use of a push/pull information system in the context of an exhibition or museum. Automation technologies were introduced to museums in the early 1960s. Projects like SELGEM (Self Generating Master) involved several museums and supported data entry to track collection information. Large scale computer use by museums was not feasible at that time because early computers were expensive and required space for installation. But that would change quickly. In 1968 Hewlett-Packard released its first programmable calculators. The early machines, such as the HP-9100, weighed 40 pounds and might be considered the first desktop computers. While Texas Instruments is credited with inventing the first pocket calculator in 1967, Hewlett-Packard developed the first programmable pocket calculator in 1974. After a NASA mission, the pocket HP-65 was promoted as having served "as a backup for Apollo's on-board computer." In ten years programmable computers had evolved from filling rooms to fitting in pockets. While pocket computers may have found immediate use in museum offices, evidence of pocket computers enhancing the visitor experience was not found. The use of hand helds in museum exhibitions seems to have been inspired by the early personal digital assistants (PDAs) such as the Zaurus, Psion, and Newton. In 1993 two young men formed a company, Visible Interactive, around their modification of the Apple Newton they called iGo. Promoting it as the “world’s first interactive audio tour” their idea was to provide museum visitors with an enhanced personal experience through the accessibility of multimedia, text, and audio while walking through an exhibit space. In their book "Radical markets: Uprooting capitalism and democracy for a just society", based on a series of papers by the authors and affiliates, Eric Posner and Glen Weyl introduce the idea of partial common ownership: every asset in the economy is constantly auctioned through a mechanism that has been existent in a small strand of literature for quite some time—Harberger taxation. The mechanism has been endorsed by some scholars for its combination of simplicity and incentive compatibility (regarding truthful revelation of valuations), enabling the economy to move to a state of higher allocative efficiency. Other scholars have pointed to some practical, but fundamental issues that might cripple a system of universal Harberger taxation (such as failure to assess value).

The present museums must reflect the voices, needs and interests of the communities they serve, in order to survive. Therefore museums are evolving away from being isolated islands of teaching to places of gathering and exchange. They become forums that not just display objects but also invite discussions, evoke concerns and foster ideas like critical thinking within their community.
