Este libro es el resultado de un proyecto colectivo en el que equipos de expertos de ocho países latinoamericanos realizaron un informe sobre el racismo en su propio país (especialmente en la forma sutil del discurso de las élites), que profundiza, al contemplar los casos específicos, lo expuesto por Teun A. van Dijk en Dominación étnica y racismo discursivo en España y América Latina (Gedisa, 2003)."
