Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book presents the “COLD HARD TRUTH” as to why millions of people still live in the state of “poverty” and why a few others are enjoying the state of abundance. Which state of living are you basking now? Let us not be one of those people who just say "Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)" because YOU, yes YOU, can do something about it. From witnessing the death of her father at the age of 15. To living in the streets of Manila. To coming to Canada with $0 money in her pocket. Together with her other sister, Joem financially assisted her two siblings in their university education (currently one sibling is a Canadian License Medical doctor, the other is a Canadian License Immigration Consultant and the other sibling is a Canadian business owner). She believes in the saying “Charity begins at home”. To creating and building business that give back to the community and provide employment local and abroad. And to living her God’s Retirement Plan at the age of 41. Joem will inspire, motivate and educate you financially by presenting 3 simple ways in achieving God’s richness intended for you. Also, this book will challenge the common notion of “poorness” and “richness”: Is richness living in an expensive house? Driving an expensive vehicle? Being famous or powerful? Or is richness doing what you are created to be! You are rich! Claim it!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “In troubles times, hope often seems elusive, a vague promise of the future. But Anne Howard transforms hope into a tangible practice of faith by sharing the stories of young adults who take Jesus’ beatitudes both literally and seriously. Read Claiming the Beatitudes and glimpse a transformational wisdom for church that grounds life in God’s beauty, truth, and goodness.” - Diana Butler Bass, author, Christianity for the Rest of Us and A People’s History of Christianity “Anne Howard interprets each beatitude through the story of a present-day student as well as Jesus’ beatitudes. She brings the beatitudes into our experience now, beautifully, readably, so we can answer the question, ‘Where do you see God’s presence in our world?’ And so we can say, ‘yes, thanks’ to God’s invitation to participate.” - Glen Harold Stassen, Lewis B. Smedes Professor of Christian Ethics, Fuller Theological Seminary “By focusing on how Jesus’ beatitudes are actually being lived in the lives of twenty-and thirty-somethings today, Anne Howard accomplishes what few before her have done; she takes the beatitudes out of the realm of pietistic platitudes or arcane academics and puts flesh and blood on them. In so doing, she instills a craving in each of us to wrap our own lives around these simple yet revolutionary words.” - Eric Elnes, author of The Phoenix Affirmations and Asphalt Jesus “Can the beatitudes come alive for us today? The moving stories and compelling reflections of Claiming the Beatitudes say ‘Yes!’ The questions at the end of each chapter offer true-to-life challenges. The entire book is an invitation to conversation and conversion. Try it!” - Bishop Frederick Borsch, Professor of New Testament, Chair of Anglican Studies, Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia

Book excerpt: New York Times bestselling adult author of The Bear and the Nightingale makes her middle grade debut with a creepy, spellbinding ghost story destined to become a classic. Now in paperback. After suffering a tragic loss, eleven-year-old Ollie who only finds solace in books discovers a chilling ghost story about a girl named Beth, the two brothers who loved her, and a peculiar deal made with "the smiling man"—a sinister specter who grants your most tightly held wish, but only for the ultimate price. Captivated by the tale, Ollie begins to wonder if the smiling man might be real when she stumbles upon the graves of the very people she's been reading about on a school trip to a nearby farm. Then, later, when her school bus breaks down on the ride home, the strange bus driver tells Ollie and her classmates: "Best get moving. At nightfall they'll come for the rest of you." Nightfall is, indeed, fast descending when Ollie's previously broken digital wristwatch begins a startling countdown and delivers a terrifying message: RUN. Only Ollie and two of her classmates heed these warnings. As the trio head out into the woods—bordered by a field of scarecrows that seem to be watching them—the bus driver has just one final piece of advice for Ollie and her friends: "Avoid large places. Keep to small." And with that, a deliciously creepy and hair-raising adventure begins.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: First published as the author's primal scream, "Letters to Aaron" is an autobiographical and factual story of treachery - treachery typical of the United States. Nations, tribes, and people like Hungary, the Rhade, Montagnard, and Hmong (Meo), of Vietnam and Laos, to say nothing of most of the nations in Latin America, will recognize and know it well. Nearly countless individuals, including statesmen, soldiers, and covert operatives sacrificed on the altar of corrupt capitalism would, too - were they not dead as the result. Recruited at sixteen years of age by the CIA and trained in Iceland and Germany with the Tenth Special Forces Group, Hal Luebbert did missions in East Germany, Hungary, and Finland (i.e., the Soviet Union) before being sent to Cuba with orders to kill Fidel Castro. Disillusioned by the obvious propagandist fabrications of his superiors once having reached the island nation, Hal rejected his orders, returning on his own to the U.S., and writing a warning letter to Castro. The rest, it is said, is history. Stymied finally in its efforts to punish the renegade, the U.S. played its Ace in the Hole the Internal Revenue Service. In 1978, the US government in its IRS avatar destroyed his business and family. In 1985, when he had recovered and remarried, they did it all again, this time driving a teenage son to three attempts at suicide. A war ensued, and when von Luebbert counterattacked federal murder attempts with electronic and personal surveillance proving massive governmental crime, a US District Court protected their federal employers by ruling his records exempted under the Freedom of Information Act by the national secrets exemption. US Senators and national media forwarded proof of federal crime like mayhem, murder, rape, and extortion to commit rape protected their masters by concealment of the evidence and personal silence. ' Remember,' 2nd President John Adams said, 'democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.' Hal von Luebbert's war has proved the fact of the one certainty for survival exists in a rapidly decaying democracy. That is to "get something" - preferably a great deal - on people high in government. If there is a mitigating factor, it is only that in a government like ours, there is always much to find. Protected still by evidence of federal crime, together with the fact of large numbers of remaining witnesses available for subpoena, von Luebbert lives mostly in the wild in Texas and states where concealed handgun laws make it possible for him to defend himself with lethal force. He is also a sixth degree black belt and three time national judo champion. It helps when government reverts to its true character and methods.

Book excerpt: He never imagined his adoptive Indian Chief father would return him to the world of the White Man after raising him from infancy, but that's just the terrifying test imposed upon White Man's Cub by his father and the 1870s society he finds himself thrown into. Can he survive the wilds of the Snake River Valley alone, naked, starving and desperate? Uncovering the worst and best of himself and mankind as he discovers the world outside the cocoon woven about him by the Nez Perce Indian Tribe, Cub resorts to that which he has despised in others. A hunter, rich with recent kill, proves easy prey. Angered by the attack, the hunter eventually captures Cub and lures him with a tale of Cub's White family into accompanying him to Portland. Even if the hunter is lying, it's the only thread of hope Cub finds to cling to after his near death at the hands of a former blood brother. As the pieces of Cub's ancestry are forced together by dogged persistence, Cub is startled to find a world in which he could survive if the fingers of the Indian Nation don't reach out and consume him once more.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Volume 60 Sermons Charles Spurgeon (19 June 1834 – 31 January 1892) is one of the church’s most famous preachers and Christianity’s foremost prolific writers. Called the “Prince of Preachers,” he was one of England's most notable ministers for most of the second half of the nineteenth century, and he still remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations today. His sermons have spread all over the world, and his many printed works have been cherished classics for decades. In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to more than 10 million people, often up to ten times each week. He was the pastor of the congregation of the New Park Street Chapel (later the Metropolitan Tabernacle) in London for 38 years. He was an inexhaustible author of various kinds of works including sermons, commentaries, an autobiography, as well as books on prayer, devotionals, magazines, poetry, hymns and more. Spurgeon was known to produce powerful sermons of penetrating thought and divine inspiration, and his oratory and writing skills held his audiences spellbound. Many Christians have discovered Spurgeon's messages to be among the best in Christian literature. Edward Walford wrote in Old and New London: Volume 6 (1878) quoting an article from the Times regarding one of Spurgeon’s meetings at Surrey: “Fancy a congregation consisting of 10,000 souls, streaming into the hall, mounting the galleries, humming, buzzing, and swarming—a mighty hive of bees—eager to secure at first the best places, and, at last, any place at all. After waiting more than half an hour—for if you wish to have a seat you must be there at least that space of time in advance—Mr. Spurgeon ascended his tribune. To the hum, and rush, and trampling of men, succeeded a low, concentrated thrill and murmur of devotion, which seemed to run at once, like an electric current, through the breast of every one present, and by this magnetic chain the preacher held us fast bound for about two hours. It is not my purpose to give a summary of his discourse. It is enough to say of his voice, that its power and volume are sufficient to reach every one in that vast assembly; of his language, that it is neither high-flown nor homely; of his style, that it is at times familiar, at times declamatory, but always happy, and often eloquent; of his doctrine, that neither the 'Calvinist' nor the 'Baptist' appears in the forefront of the battle which is waged by Mr. Spurgeon with relentless animosity, and with Gospel weapons, against irreligion, cant, hypocrisy, pride, and those secret bosom-sins which so easily beset a man in daily life; and to sum up all in a word, it is enough to say of the man himself, that he impresses you with a perfect conviction of his sincerity.” More than a hundred years after his death, Charles Spurgeon’s legacy continues to effectively inspire the church around the world. For this reason, Delmarva Publications has chosen to publish the complete works of Charles Spurgeon.
