First you gotta find a good clean (legible) copy and make sure it's the latest version (not always easy). Some documents found on the web are missing some pages or the image quality is so poor, they are difficult to read. We look over each document carefully and replace poor quality images by going back to the original source document. We proof each document to make sure it's all there - including all changes. If you find a good copy, you could print it using a network printer you share with 100 other people (typically its either out of paper or toner). If it's just a 10-page document, no problem, but if it's 250-pages, you will need to punch 3 holes in all those pages and put it in a 3-ring binder. Takes at least an hour. It's much more cost-effective to just order the latest version from Amazon.com This book is published by 4th Watch Books and includes copyright material. We publish compact, tightly-bound, full-size books (8 by 11 inches), with glossy covers. 4th Watch Books is a Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Book excerpt: This SpringerBrief presents a brief introduction to probabilistic risk assessment (PRA), followed by a discussion of abnormal event detection techniques in industrial control systems (ICS). It also provides an introduction to the use of game theory for the development of cyber-attack response models and a discussion on the experimental testbeds used for ICS cyber security research. The probabilistic risk assessment framework used by the nuclear industry provides a valid framework to understand the impacts of cyber-attacks in the physical world. An introduction to the PRA techniques such as fault trees, and event trees is provided along with a discussion on different levels of PRA and the application of PRA techniques in the context of cybersecurity. A discussion on machine learning based fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) methods and cyber-attack detection methods for industrial control systems are introduced in this book as well. A dynamic Bayesian networks based method that can be used to detect an abnormal event and classify it as either a component fault induced safety event or a cyber-attack is discussed. An introduction to the stochastic game formulation of the attacker-defender interaction in the context of cyber-attacks on industrial control systems to compute optimal response strategies is presented. Besides supporting cyber-attack response, the analysis based on the game model also supports the behavioral study of the defender and the attacker during a cyber-attack, and the results can then be used to analyze the risk to the system caused by a cyber-attack. A brief review of the current state of experimental testbeds used in ICS cybersecurity research and a comparison of the structures of various testbeds and the attack scenarios supported by those testbeds is included. A description of a testbed for nuclear power applications, followed by a discussion on the design of experiments that can be carried out on the testbed and the associated results is covered as well. This SpringerBrief is a useful resource tool for researchers working in the areas of cyber security for industrial control systems, energy systems and cyber physical systems. Book excerpt: This handbook discusses challenges and limitations in existing solutions, and presents state-of-the-art advances from both academia and industry, in big data analytics and digital forensics. The second chapter comprehensively reviews IoT security, privacy, and forensics literature, focusing on IoT and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The authors propose a deep learning-based approach to process cloud’s log data and mitigate enumeration attacks in the third chapter. The fourth chapter proposes a robust fuzzy learning model to protect IT-based infrastructure against advanced persistent threat (APT) campaigns. Advanced and fair clustering approach for industrial data, which is capable of training with huge volume of data in a close to linear time is introduced in the fifth chapter, as well as offering an adaptive deep learning model to detect cyberattacks targeting cyber physical systems (CPS) covered in the sixth chapter. The authors evaluate the performance of unsupervised machine learning for detecting cyberattacks against industrial control systems (ICS) in chapter 7, and the next chapter presents a robust fuzzy Bayesian approach for ICS’s cyber threat hunting. This handbook also evaluates the performance of supervised machine learning methods in identifying cyberattacks against CPS. The performance of a scalable clustering algorithm for CPS’s cyber threat hunting and the usefulness of machine learning algorithms for MacOS malware detection are respectively evaluated. This handbook continues with evaluating the performance of various machine learning techniques to detect the Internet of Things malware. The authors demonstrate how MacOSX cyberattacks can be detected using state-of-the-art machine learning models. In order to identify credit card frauds, the fifteenth chapter introduces a hybrid model. In the sixteenth chapter, the editors propose a model that leverages natural language processing techniques for generating a mapping between APT-related reports and cyber kill chain.
