Mit ihr kann man Probleme lösen - aber auch neue Probleme schaffen. Als kritischer Begleiter von Theorie- und Praxisentwicklung weist der Autor auf unbeabsichtigte Folgen und Konsequenzen der unterschiedlichen Konzeptvarianten Interkultureller Pädagogik hin. Der Annahme, dass vor allem die großen kulturellen Unterschiede zwischen den Menschen Konflikte hervorrufen, setzt er die These entgegen, dass die Armut der Arbeitsmigranten und die fehlende Gleichberechtigung die zentralen Problemursachen darstellen. Er plädiert für die Verwandlung des "Migrationshintergrunds" in eine "Migrationsgeschichte", die die Gleichheit der Menschen nicht mehr beeinträchtigen soll.
