Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Abraham’s Altars and Ours is a great theological treatise and personal devotional, and was written for several reasons. First, Grant Brown believes we need to be reminded that the altars Abraham erected during his lifetime were to commemorate Abraham’s many experiences of God, and using Abraham’s example, we should also preserve the remembrance of God’s interventions in our own life and the life of our loved ones. Secondly, as you read this book you will be inspired and encouraged to see how the Lord personally and constantly involves himself in our life in many wonderful ways, even when we find ourselves in the midst of trials and tribulations of one kind or another. Finally, as you continue to read, the Lord will help you to choose which altars to build, and also will help you tear down any ungodly ones you wish removed from your life.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book deals with the subject of the Tabernacle and its two altars. The study seeks to apply the concepts of these two altars to churches and individual Christians of today. The study deals with salvation, and priesthood. We enter into the Holy place before God and because of God for a purpose. Our place is in front of the Golden Altar where we are to praise God, pray, supplicate and intercede for others. Dr. Robert Elam is now a retired missionary living in Florida after spending thirty-six years on the mission field of Brazil. There he worked with the people in starting churches and teaching in Bible Institutes. He has taught the Tabernacle, one of his favorite subjects, from entrance to the mercy seat several times and has used the material time after time to witness to people about their need for salvation. He is listed in the Princeton Premier Business Leaders and Professional catalogue for 2008-2009-2010 listings. He has taught from coast to coast and has written essays on several subjects, one being printed on the site (CreationDesign.org.): "The Body-an Engineering Masterpiece." Another series of lectures was written on Evolution: A Perfect Creation verses a Continual Evolution. Dr; Robert Elam has created and taught courses like Comparative Theology and Baptist History: reading between the lines of History. Dr. Elam graduated from Baptist Bible College in 1967 after studying three years in Electrical Engineering at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Seeing the need to get a more advanced degree, Robert went to the Louisiana Baptist University in Shreveport and finished his Masters in 2000 and his doctorate in 2002. He has also translated this book into Portuguese and desires to publish the book in Brazil.

Read along and find out why it's not about exchanging pleasantries and sharing a meal here and there with others. It's so much more than creating social media moments. True hospitality stretches us beyond the command of loving our neighbor. It's actions are rooted in true love. Looking through the example of Abraham and other biblical examples, we can learn more about the true meaning of this covenant behavior and its blessings the way God sees it.

Book excerpt: Whoever Controls the Altar Controls the Outcome Throughout Scripture, God's leaders built altars where He met them in powerful, miraculous ways. God still longs to pour out His power at those altars. But we've been seduced away by worldly wisdom and man-made distractions and plans, leaving us ineffective against the evil sweeping across our land. With insight and humility, international leader and pastor Rick DuBose shows the path back to five forgotten altars--and ultimately, the path to your place in heaven's throne room. Full of real-world application and encouraging inspiration, this book will help you · ignite a fire for effective prayer · stand your ground in five key areas · create a culture of prevailing prayer in your church · build spaces to repent, receive, and encounter God It's time to storm the altars and pray with humble authority that moves heaven--and unleashes victory here on earth. "I'd never considered prayer had a skill set, but it does, and this book will help you develop a meaningful skill set of prayer."--DONALD E. ROSS, author of Turnaround Pastor and network leader of Northwest Ministry Network "The truths in this book will transform your prayer life and Kingdom effectiveness."--KERMIT S. BRIDGES, DMin, president of Southwestern Assemblies of God University

It puts Biblical characters and events in a fresh perspective. This is an impressive work that appears to be another Testament. First Voices tells the story of Adam and Eve, Shem and Eber, Noah and the Flood, Sarah, Keturah, Hagar and Abraham, The Minos of Crete, Nimrod and Canaan, Chedorlaomer and the city of Babylon, Esau and Jacob Judah and Shua, the Pharoah and Joseph, the Tower of Babel, the great war of Abraham, the tragedy of Lot, the thinker Jacob and independent Judah. Many other stories presents an uncanny insight into the world’s first personalities. This book transcends intelligence and religious narrative. It is a master’s craft at its best. First Voices is a great achievement into the world of Biblical literature. Historic events are rendered in grand depictions in epic porportions. It offers an insightful penetration into the word of God and seems to be a separate Testament speaking to the world how God interacts with mankind in real life. First Voices is a beautiful, wonderful, poetic work. And perhaps, the greatest Biblical epic ever written!

While readers may know thefactsof these stories, Goldingay's work will instill in them a deeper understanding of their spiritual and theological significance.
