Book Synopsis A Glimpse into the Transference by : Richard John Kosciejew
Download or read book A Glimpse into the Transference written by Richard John Kosciejew and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2021-10-25 with total page 1450 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Originally, transference was ascribed to displacement on the analyst of repressed wishes and fantasies derived from early childhood. The transference neurosis was viewed as a compromise formulation similar to dreams and other neurotic symptoms. Resistance, defined as the clinical manifestation of repression, could be diminished or abolished by interpretation mainly directed toward the content of the repressed. Transference resistance, both positive and negative, was inscribed to the threatened emergence of repressed unconscious material in the analytic situation. Presently, as with the development of a structural approach, the superego had been portrayed as the heir to the genital Oedipal situation, also was the recognition as playing a leading role in the transference situation. The analysis was subsequently viewed not only as the object by displacement of infantile incestuous fantasies, but also as the substitute by projection for the prohibiting parental figures which had been internalized as the definitive superego. The effect of transference interpretation in mitigating undue severity of the superego has, therefore, been emphasized in many discussions of the concept of transference.

Book Synopsis Jeep Transfer Cases by : Trenton McGee
Download or read book Jeep Transfer Cases written by Trenton McGee and published by CarTech Inc. This book was released on 2024-06-24 with total page 97 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Learn the step-by-step procedures for tearing down, rebuilding, and improving the most popular Jeep transfer cases by using this comprehensive manual written with the do-it-yourselfer in mind. The transfer case is arguably the heart of any Jeep. It’s the key component that splits power to the front and rear axles and ultimately provides the traction that has allowed Jeep to maintain its legendary off-road status for nearly 80 years. Jeep used several different transfer cases in its various vehicle models, many of which have an excellent reputation and remain sought after today. But even the best mechanical components can wear over time and need periodic service to ensure decades of reliable service. While transfer cases may seem complicated on the surface, they can be successfully rebuilt by a competent weekend mechanic with surprisingly few specialized tools. Jeep Transfer Cases: How to Rebuild covers rebuilding the most popular and widely used transfer cases found in dozens of Jeep models for decades, including the Dana 18, Dana 20, Dana 300, and the NP231. The entire rebuild process is shown from beginning to end while providing valuable pointers, complete specifications, and a list of the specialized tools that are required. Also included are tips for upgrading these cases for better strength and off-road performance, including deeper low-range gearsets, slip-yoke eliminator (SYE) kits, and much more. Author Trenton McGee has written hundreds of technical articles on virtually every component on 4x4 vehicles for off-road magazines. McGee takes a layman’s approach to tackling complex tasks while avoiding complex technical jargon. This book will help you better understand your transfer case and determine if rebuilding your transfer case is for you or your local 4x4 repair shop.

Book Synopsis Artistic Practices and Cultural Transfer in Early Modern Italy by : Allison Sherman
Download or read book Artistic Practices and Cultural Transfer in Early Modern Italy written by Allison Sherman and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2017-07-05 with total page 337 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For too long, the ?centre? of the Renaissance has been considered to be Rome and the art produced in, or inspired by it. This collection of essays dedicated to Deborah Howard brings together an impressive group of internationally recognised scholars of art and architecture to showcase both the diversity within and the porosity between the ?centre? and ?periphery? in Renaissance art. Without abandoning Rome, but together with other centres of art production, the essays both shift their focus away from conventional categories and bring together recent trends in Renaissance studies, notably a focus on cultural contact, material culture and historiography. They explore the material mechanisms for the transmission and evolution of ideas, artistic training and networks, as well as the dynamics of collaboration and exchange between artists, theorists and patrons. The chapters, each with a wealth of groundbreaking research and previously unpublished documentary evidence, as well as innovative methodologies, reinterpret Italian art relating to canonical sites and artists such as Michelangelo, Titian, Tintoretto, Veronese, and Sebastiano del Piombo, in addition to showcasing the work of several hitherto neglected architects, painters, and an inimitable engineer-inventor.

Book Synopsis Dimensional Transfer by : Darwin Jefferson
Download or read book Dimensional Transfer written by Darwin Jefferson and published by Darwin Jefferson. This book was released on 2023-07-03 with total page 129 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the year 2035, humanity faces an impending invasion from a species located three-hundred light years away from Earth. Unknowing to the Earth’s leadership and their militaries, a race of war fascists called the Mortellas Alliance had moved into a space sector on a moon near Mars, bringing them within striking distance from the planet Earth. Their mission was to conduct surveillance on the Earth. At the same time, their military and scientists collectively worked to develop an unknown secret weapon intended to be used to exterminate the inhabitants of the Earth. The story follows Colonel Raymond Adams, the Commander of the Earth’s first interstellar spacecraft code-named Gulliver. The vessel was designed from blueprints received through secret transmissions sent to American President Henry Nelson from a peaceful race called the Terrennians. The Terrennians provided the Earth’s leadership with advance warning of the impending invasion from the Mortellas Alliance along with coordinates of the location of their secret military base on the outer moon of Mars. The Gulliver’s spacecraft was named after the fictional character Gulliver, who explored unknown lands and encountered strange and fascinating creatures. The Space Command chose the name to signify the spirit of exploration and discovery that the Gulliver spacecraft represented in the eyes of the American people and the World. The crew of the Gulliver was carefully selected and trained for years to ensure they were fully prepared and mentally tested for the most crucial mission in the Earth’s history. The Gulliver crew members were some of the finest astronauts ever selected for the NASA space program and the best in their chosen specialties and fields. The Pentagon’s and NASA leaderships believed the Gulliver’s Commander and crew members could be the key to the survival of Earth and humanity. I invite you to travel with Colonel Raymond Adams and the crew of the Gulliver interstellar spacecraft as they bridge numerous obstacles, battle the Mortellas Alliance, and forge new alliances while building a solid and cohesive team.
Book Synopsis The Therapeutic Process, the Self, and Female Psychology by : Helene Deutsch
Download or read book The Therapeutic Process, the Self, and Female Psychology written by Helene Deutsch and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2019-01-22 with total page 371 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Helene Deutsch was one of the most famous psychoanalysts to emerge from Freud's immediate circle in Vienna. Best known for her writings on female psychology, she was also one of the great teachers of psychoanalysis. As the founding president of the Vienna Psychoanalytic Training Institute, she confirmed her stature in the history of psychoanalysis by cultivating a whole younger generation of influential analysts. Deutsch was tolerant and open-minded, both as a theoretician and teacher, but, as Paul Roazen remarks in his introduction, independence and an absence of fanaticism can mean a temporary fading out of influence. For the first time, Deutsch's major professional contributions are brought together for permanent consideration. This volume documents her enduringly valuable exploration of the complexities of the psychology of women's experience. Deutsch remained essentially faithful to the Freudian canon. Nonetheless, and throughout these writings, she developed ideas on the subject of femininity that were often at odds with those of her mentor. Her use of Freud's theories aimed to encourage toleration of human diversity and to modify his model of sexuality according to the particular circumstances of women's lives. It was Deutsch who introduced motherhood as a central concern of psychoanalysis by stressing how the psychological dimension of reproduction was different for men and women and how this uniquely feminine capacity had its effects on the entire psychology of women. The same commitment to human diversity informs her much-misunderstood work on the clinical problems of female sexual dysfunction. While accepting the Freudian goal of sexual gratification, Deutsch argues that sublimation through work was a key value in its own right This is illustrated in "George Sand: A Woman's Destiny," a brilliant early example of psychobiography. This volume of Deutsch's classic papers, several appearing in English for the first time, will be of interest to psychologists, intellectual historians, and women's studies specialists.
Book Synopsis Psychotherapy After Kohut by : Ronald R. Lee
Download or read book Psychotherapy After Kohut written by Ronald R. Lee and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013-05-13 with total page 282 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Hailed as "a superb textbook aimed at introducing psychoanalytic self psychology to students of psychotherapy" (Robert D. Stolorow), Psychotherapy After Kohut is unique in its grasp of the theoretical, clinical, and historical grounds of the emergence of this new psychotherapy paradigm. Lee and Martin acknowledge self psychology's roots in Freud's pioneering clinical discoveries and go on to document its specific indebtedness to the work of Sandor Ferenczi and British object relations theory. Proceeding to readable, scholarly expositions of the principal concepts introduced by Heinz Kohut, the founder of self psychology, they skillfully explore the further blossoming of the paradigm in the decade following Kohut's death. In tracing the trajectory of self psychology after Kohut, Lee and Martin pay special attention to the impact of contemporary infancy research, intersubjectivity theory, and recent empirical and clinical findings about affect development and the meaning and treatment of trauma.
