Na bovinocultura de corte, uma das prioridades passou a ser o controle e erradicação da febre aftosa, condição imprescindível para se alcançarem novos mercados. Este trabalho analisa as transformações recentes na bovinocultura de corte brasileira em sua busca de adequação a esses novos parâmetros. Observa-se uma nova estruturação regional, que a bovinocultura de corte brasileira assume para atender às exigências sanitárias, com deslocamento de unidades industriais, especialmente as de abate, para as regiões produtoras de bovinos. A modernização da atividade também reestrutura a cadeia produtiva da carne bovina: seus principais elos - fornecedor de insumos, produtor, indústria frigorífica e distribuição -, que tradicionalmente mantiveram conflitos, passam a ter seus papéis redefinidos em termos de poder de mercado, com hegemonia crescente do elo final - o dos distribuidores. Finalmente, este trabalho evidencia que o Circuito Pecuário Centro-Oeste, com destaque para a Região Centro-Oeste e, em especial, o estado de Mato Grosso do Sul, consolidam-se nessa nova dinâmica como os grandes produtores brasileiros de carne bovina, tanto para o mercado interno quanto para o internacional.

It reduces lead time, monitors transactions and stock levels. It helps to maintain a better stockholder relationship and gain a competitive advantage and market sustainability. The flow of products, information between the chain actors and coordinating activities to manage the supply chain is ensured by IT.
