Book excerpt: 40 Old Time Lullabies Guitalele Songbook for Beginners Collection of 40 most popular old-time lullabies. The best gift for soon-to-be moms (and dads). For anyone who would like to lull a baby into a healthy sleep. For anyone who would like to form lasting bonds with children. With a melody in standard notation and tablature, chord diagrams, and lyrics. Included free, online audio tracks for all songs, with solo and basic chord changes. Suitable for playing solo melodies, accompaniment of singing with chords, and playing in a duet. In short, although lullabies are one of the most important musical genres influencing human development, we will see only a few books devoted to the singing of these songs. The number of audio recordings is so much higher. Still, the value of these is slightly lower from a psychological point of view compared to lullabies sung by mother or father. It is also interesting to note that we find far more books on the well-being of lullabies than books on lullabies. But we can learn a lot from these science books. For example, lullabies sung by parents reduce the heart rate, calm the breathing rhythm of children, and even increase oxygen saturation in the blood. Research has further shown that lullabies accelerate the healing of children and accelerate the child's development and physical growth. Above all, lullabies successfully put the child to sleep, bring him to a night of more restful sleep, and recognize the parents' voice increases the connection between the parents and the child. Or in other words, this book is a real treasure for our treasures. About the books in the series Lovely melodies from the past The songs in the series "Lovely melodies from the past," are presented with notes, a melody's tablature, and chords to accompany the singing. The songbook can therefore be used to play a melody or to accompany a melody with chords. Songs can also be played in a duet. In this case, one instrument plays the melody and the other the accompaniment. The series of books "Lovely melodies from the past" has another great advantage over other songbooks. The songs are adapted for different instruments, but always in the same way. This way, buyers of books for mandolin, ukulele, guitar, or any other instrument can easily play the same songs on any common occasion. For easy learning, all the songs from the book are recorded and stored in mp3 files, found at Lovelymelodies site.

Book excerpt: Forgotten Children's Songs - Baritone Ukulele Songbook for Beginners with Tabs and Chords If in the book "50 Timeless Children Songs with Tabs and Chords," we presented the 50 most popular children's songs of today's era. But in this book, "Forgotten Children's Songs," we presented 40 children's songs that were popular around 1880. We immediately notice that the repertoire of songs from those days is quite different from a set of modern children's folk songs. But this is not surprising. Most of these children's songs, such as "Mary Had a Little Lamb," "Humpty Dumpty," "Row, Row, Row Your Boat," and the like, most likely got their final shape right in the mid-1800s. William Wells Newell (1839-1907), a folklorist, the founder of the American Folklore Society, collected the most popular children's songs on his travels in the United States. In the book "Games and Songs of American Children" from 1884, we notice songs that are hardly sung by today's children. At the time of publication of this book, "Forgotten Children's Songs," we do not find most of these songs even on almighty Youtube. The other half of the songs in this book are songs that were once so popular that we find them in almost every old book. But nowadays they have almost disappeared from children's games. There are, of course, several reasons for the loss of popularity. Former educational songs became almost banned in modern education. We avoid, for example, mentioning acts of violence, such as the once-daily hunt in the song "Hare and Hunter." For example, we avoid former worldviews, like "What care we for gold or silver?". Nowadays, we can hardly imagine a child singing "I'm glad I am a farmer." It is better not to talk at all about old archetypal ballads that do not correspond to our advertised notion of modern life. And so on. In short, before us is a new book of slightly older but once most popular children's songs that portray the world in a slightly different way. Book benefits Collection of 40 once most popular, but nowadays forgotten old-time children's songs. Suitable for parents and children. With a melody in standard notation and tablature, chord diagrams, and lyrics. Included free, online audio tracks for all songs, with solo and basic chord changes. Book excerpt: Stephen Foster - Baritone Ukulele Songbook for Beginners with Tabs and Chords Vol. 1 Stephen C. Foster (July 4, 1826 - January 13, 1864) needs no further introduction. He was the first fully professional U.S. songwriter. Because of his musical innovation, the popularity of his songs, and especially because of the quality of his songs, we most often call him "the father of American music." His hits from a century and a half ago, such as Oh Susanna, Camptown Races, Angelina Baker, Old Black Joe, Beautiful Dreamer, Old Dog Tray, and others, are gentle, incredibly rhythmic, and catchy for those times that they are still popular today. And you will find these eternal, most popular hits in this collection of books, which is intended for the widest possible circle of old-time music lovers. The collection of melodies is adapted for various "folk" instruments, such as guitar, mandolin, ukulele, guitalele, tenor banjo, cigar box guitar, and baritone ukulele. This way, fans of different instruments can easily gather to play and sing together. Unlike in books from my previous collections, I decided to use a slightly larger number of chords this time. Only in this way could I preserve the original harmonies given to us by Stephen Foster a century and a half ago. Book benefits A collection of the 30 most popular songs by Stephen C. Foster, the father of American pop music, which should not be missing from any bookshelf. Suitable for parents and children. The songs are featured with a melody, standard notation and tablature, chord diagrams, and lyrics. Included free, online audio tracks for all songs, with solo and basic chord changes. Intended for anyone who would like to increase the repertoire. Suitable for playing solo melodies, accompaniment of singing with chords, and playing in a duet. Suitable for use with other books for ukulele, guitar, guitalele, baritone ukulele, mandolin, cigar box guitar, and tenor banjo from the same songs collection. Songs from the book Ah! May the Red Rose Live Always Angelina Baker Beautiful Dreamer Better Times Are Coming Camptown Races Comrades, Fill No Glass for Me Don't Bet Money on the Shanghai Fairy-Belle Farewell My Lilly Dear Farewell!
