Les énoncés sont suivis de questions de deux ordres : les unes pour s'assurer que la cohérence du texte a bien été établie et obliger le lecteur à avoir une démarche de compréhension ; d'autres qui sollicitent le jugement du lecteur en lui faisant faire le lien entre ce qu'il lit, ce qu'il sait, ce qu'il vit (ou a vécu) et l'invitent à donner son opinion. Un minisite, accompagnant l'ouvrage, contient tous les exercices et permet au professionnel d'imprimer séparément chaque fiche d'exercice.
