Solche Auflösung ist jedoch mit der Tabuisierung der Strafe in der deutschsprachigen pädagogischen Theorie, Forschung und Praxis seit den 1970er Jahren vereinseitigt worden. Statt die empirischen, sprich gesellschaftlich produzierten Verhältnisse unter die Lupe zu nehmen, die Zwang und Strafe überhaupt zu pädagogisch relevanten Kategorien machen, münden Maßnahmen wie classroom management, Streitschlichtung und Trainingsraum in eine Ausgliederung der Strafproblematik aus der Pädagogik, welche deren Zusammenhang unkenntlich macht. An einer solchen Delegation pädagogischer Verantwortung an vorgeblich außer- bzw. vorpädagogische Prozesse und Akteure ist die pädagogische Forschung nicht unbeteiligt: Dem Paradigma von Michel Foucaults Gouvernementalität sowie des damit einhergehenden Machtbegriffs folgend, wird Strafe nur noch als Teil einer ontologischen Struktur begriffen, aus der es kein Entrinnen geben kann. Stattdessen benötigt es eine radikale Infragestellung der Strafe im pädagogischen Kontext, die den gesellschaftlich produzierten Schein ihrer eigenen Notwendigkeit mitreflektiert und so zu dessen Überwindung beiträgt. Sebastian Gräber studierte Erziehungswissenschaft und Philosophie an den Universitäten Freiburg im Breisgau und Münster. Er ist wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter der Abteilung Allgemeine Erziehungswissenschaft an der Universität Trier. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in den Bereichen der pädagogischen Ethik, der Disziplin- und Theoriegeschichte des 20. und 21. Jahrhunderts sowie der epistemologischen Grundlagen der Erziehungswissenschaft.
