In her candid narrative style, author Brooke Vega walks you through her own journey from "I'm not an artistic person" to "I can learn to be artistic and have fun doing it." With this comprehensive guide and workbook, you'll learn: How to finally get your hand to obey your mind and produce fluid, confident cursive writing. How to choose letter styles and flourishes for a beautiful, unique signature. How to stop believing that you're stuck with "naturally bad handwriting" and realize that talent has little to do with beautiful penmanship. How to critique your work instead of criticizing it. Book excerpt: Stop trying to beat everyone else. True success is playing by your own rules, creating work that no one can replicate. Don't be the best, be the only. You're on the conventional path, checking off accomplishments. You might be doing okay by normal standards, but you still feel restless, bored, and limited. Srinivas Rao gets it. As a new business school graduate, Srinivas's dreams were crushed by a soulless job that demanded only conformity. Sick of struggling to keep his head above water, Srinivas quit his job and took to the waves, pursuing his dream of learning to surf. He also found the freedom to chart his own course. Interviewing more than five hundred creative people on his Unmistakable Creative podcast was the ultimate education. He heard how guests including Seth Godin, Elle Luna, Tim Ferriss, Simon Sinek, and Danielle LaPorte blazed their own trails. Srinivas blends his own story with theirs to tell you: You can find that courage too. Don't be just one among many--be the only. Be unmistakable. Trying to be the best will chain you to others' definition of success. Unmistakable work, on the other hand, could only have been created by one person, so competition is irrelevant. Like Banksy's art or Tim Burton's films, unmistakable work needs no signature and has no precedent. Whether you're a business owner, an artist, or just someone who wants to leave your mark on the world, Unmistakable will inspire you to create your own path and define your own success.

Book excerpt: An invitation to change the energy that surrounds you, find the harmony that comes with self-acceptance, and, in the process, discover your life's purpose and the boundless possibilities that await you. Your soul signature is your spiritual DNA-it is who you are at your core, the most authentic part of you, your singular contribution to this world. And yet we reject our authentic selves. We allow our soul signature to become blocked by any number of emotional obstacles that life throws in our path: anger, fear, guilt, shame, sadness, despair. Any or all of these feelings overtake us and create a density, a heaviness that doesn't permit us to embrace who we truly are, deep inside. We are energetic beings, Panache Desai, reminds us, and emotions are energy in motion. When we are blocked we feel unworthy, less than, unloved, incomplete. In Discovering Your Soul Signature, Panache invites us on a 33-day path of meditations-short passages to be read at morning, noon, and night that are designed to dismantle the emotional burden that holds us back and open us up to changing our lives. Through this distilled, poetic, practical, and inspiring course he invites us to live a life of authenticity, to rediscover purpose and passion, and to believe from our soul in the possibility of all things.

Book excerpt: Find your signature voice People are drawn to and influenced by leaders who communicate authentically, connect easily with people, and have immediate impact. So how do you become one of them? How can you learn to “own the room”? This book will help you develop your leadership presence. According to Amy Jen Su and Muriel Maignan Wilkins, leadership presence is the ability to consistently and clearly articulate your value proposition while influencing and connecting with others. They offer a simple and compelling framework, as well as practical advice about how you can develop your own personal presence. No matter where you sit in an organization, you can “own the room” if you are able to do two things well: first, demonstrate your authentic value and distinction, and second, connect to others in a positive way. Leaders who are able to be authentic while connecting with and impacting others have what the authors call a “signature voice”—a means of self-expression that is uniquely and distinctly their own. Once you discover and express your own signature voice, you’ll be ready to take your leadership presence to the next level. Filled with real-life stories and examples, Own the Room demystifies the concept of presence and gives you the tools you need to identify and embrace your unique leadership voice—and have a greater impact on the world around you.

Book excerpt: My intention of putting together this book is to uplift women with my poetry which soothes and heals their wounded hearts. Furthermore these soul stirring poetry will make them come out of their cocoons and give LIFE to their dreams hidden deep inside their suppressed and repressed souls. I particularly want to uplift women through my poetry, as at one point when I published one of my poetry in Facebook, I received a private message from a woman in United Kingdom, who was driven to suicide. She thanked me saying she read my poetry entitled "The Cage," in Facebook and that stopped her and helped her shift her suicide mind frame. It was then that I knew that I have been gifted with this gift of words to soothe and heal through my poetry. The Title of this book was an inspiration I got while watching a Tamil movie. The heroine of the movie despite being consistently put down and looked down by her husband, managed to weave a dream of owning a vegetable farm at the backyard of her own house. By nature she was a subservient woman and not having a voice of her own. But she gave life to this dream of hers and ultimately influences the whole neighbourhood to grow their own vegetables and be mini entrepreneurs in their own right. She made her Dream, her brand identity and a voice of her identity. That heroine character made a great imprint on me and motivated me to write my own dream of being an International Best Selling Author through my soul touching poetry. I sincerely trust that my soul touching Poems will touch and heal and acts as soothing balm for women to come out of their struggles and carve their Dreams. And ultimately take action to realise that their dreams are their unique feminine identity as a woman.
