Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Christianity is not religion – it is life. Specifically, it is the life of Jesus Christ given to the soul of man. It is not a collection of beliefs, although knowing His life will cause us to see and walk in the truth. It is not a kind of behavior, although abiding in His life will affect all that we desire and do. Christianity, at its very root and in every branch, is bound up with a very specific life that God gives, reveals, and forms in the soul of man. Christianity is Christ living in you. The question that confronts us as believers is whether we are satisfied with a small and blurry view of God's incredible gift, or whether we, like Paul, will count all things loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Jesus Christ our Lord. There are many who have accepted the gift of life in Christ and yet, like the children of Israel, seem content to wander in the wilderness of man's religious ideas with both their treasure and their heart wrapped up in things of this world. There are others, however, whose hearts have grown restless within them, and whose constant prayer has become, “Lord, there must be something more than this!” Indeed there is more. But to know and experience the greatness of His life, the soul must be carried on by the Spirit of God to an ever greater view of the cross of Jesus Christ.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “Do I have life ‘more abundant’?” That’s a question millions of Christians have asked down through the ages. Dan Stone asked that question during a time of spiritual frustration in his own life and God answered by showing Dan he had been living only a part of the gospel message. Dan’s search led him to discover the truth of “Christ in you” as “the rest of the gospel” that most Christians overlook. Readers who are hungry for a deeper experience with God will resonate with Dan’s discovery of “the rest of the gospel,” which is indeed rest for everyone who is willing to finally let go and let God.

Book excerpt: What do you want out of life? What are you pursuing? Happiness? Money? Fame? Fortune? Pleasure? Security? The ultimate prize is none of these but is actually something much higher and better: Christlikeness. It sounds formidable, but ask yourself one question: Dont you want to be like Christ? If you answered YES! then this book is for you! Have you ever asked yourself, How can I be more like Jesus? How can I stop sinning? How can I live consistently in a way that pleases God? Have you ever wondered what the scripture means, Without holiness no man will see the Lord? Does it distress you that many believers seem to disregard holiness because they think that they are not under the law? Have you ever thought about what it means to be under the law and under grace? Are you concerned that our nation has cast God aside and is pursuing a secularist agenda? How can that be reversed? Like Christ By Grace: Pursuing the Prize of Christlikeness By Gods Grace will give you the answers you seek. Jesus Christ supplies everything you need to be like Him. The book you hold in your hands is a message of encouragement and hope, as well as a challenging call to Christlikeness. No matter how many times you have fallen and no matter how miserably you may have failed, God is on your side. God is for you. Hes not about to give up on you. You can be like Christ by grace!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For more than six decades, the brothers Torrance--Thomas, James and David-have had a tremendous influence on the theological world. They and particularly TF Torrance, have a devoted following world-wide and particularly in the US. Their high view of the fully human, fully divine Jesus is built upon the foundation of the Patristic writers, and the great Reformers from Calvin to Barth. Working in both pastoral and academic settings, the Torrances have stressed the profound implications of Christology for the mission of their Church and the daily life of Christians. Today, a generation of their students around the world find themselves in positions of pastoral and theological leadership. The focus of this book is the person of Christ (christology), a subject central to the Torrance theological vision and one which has had great influence on the presbyterian church. The contributors explore the contemporary relevance of Torrance Christology in such areas as the nature of Christ, the atonement, the ministry of the Church, epistemology and inclusion in Christ. The result is a book that offers both a fresh introduction to the Torrance tradition even as it advances the Torrance thought along fresh avenues of theological exploration.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Written by an L. A. County homicide detective and former atheist, Cold-Case Christianity examines the claims of the New Testament using the skills and strategies of a hard-to-convince criminal investigator. Christianity could be defined as a “cold case”: it makes a claim about an event from the distant past for which there is little forensic evidence. In Cold-Case Christianity, J. Warner Wallace uses his nationally recognized skills as a homicide detective to look at the evidence and eyewitnesses behind Christian beliefs. Including gripping stories from his career and the visual techniques he developed in the courtroom, Wallace uses illustration to examine the powerful evidence that validates the claims of Christianity. A unique apologetic that speaks to readers’ intense interest in detective stories, Cold-Case Christianity inspires readers to have confidence in Christ as it prepares them to articulate the case for Christianity.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Arguably the leading Scottish theologian of the nineteenth century, John McLeod Campbell's theology is much criticized and often misunderstood. Previous accounts have tended to overlook both his sermons and his Christology. This reassessment of his thought breaks new ground by offering a detailed study of his sermons and by identifying the distinctive Christology which contributes to a clearer understanding of his doctrine of atonement. Drawing upon the full range of Campbell's work, God in our Nature brings to light a trinitarian theologian whose pilgrimage represents a journey within evangelicalism rather than a departure from the evangelical fold.
