This collection of poems shows that for every “up” there is an obstacle. For every “down” there is a rebound. This book captures the sadness from Sorrow and the hope for Tomorrow. Sadness and happiness, you have to face them both. Happiness must be free of all negativity. Positive thinking leads to you winning. No matter which way the wind blows, stand ready for the unsteady. Face the world with the innocence of youth. Holy belief will find the truth. Be good!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Why would a loving, all-powerful God allow so much pain and suffering? It’s a question everyone asks–from skeptics to spiritual seekers to confirmed believers. In The Wind That Destroys and Heals, theologian and educator Stephen Broyles wrestles with it personally, powerfully, and poignantly. After enduring the horror of his young wife’s death, Broyles interrogated the Scriptures to find a reasonable explanation for his devastating loss. In this book he supplies the coordinates readers need to track God through the darkest, most broken stretches of life. God is there in all of it, and it’s possible for us to locate him even when the thickening darkness dims our sight. Like the psalmists of the Hebrew Scriptures, Broyles challenged God to explain himself, to demonstrate why in heaven’s name any sane person should trust God. And he received an answer–though not the one he expected: God is a Wind that could easily destroy us but who also holds out the only promise for our healing. We understand our undoing only in light of who God is. And we find our ultimate healing only in God.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Two great writers and their books that have had an influenced on me in the writing of this book are Jonathan Swifts (1667-1745) and John Bunyan (1628-1688). Jonathan Swift masterpiece titled 'Gulliver's Travels' was an allegorical attack on the hypocrisy of the human behavior that he witnessed in almost every level of life in England, especially on the political stage. John Bunyan was the author of another famous allegorical book about a soul in search of salvation-'Pilgrim's Progress.' I do not believe this book will in any way approach the level of these two great masterpieces, but like Swift and Bunyan, I too have some comments about the behavior of my fellow Spacelanders (as I like to refer to them). What do they really believe in? What have they committed and dedicated their lives to? Because I believe the answers to these questions are the determining factors of their behavior. Like all allegorical books you will need a great imagination. But as Oscar Wilde said, "Imagination is a quality given man to compensate him for what he is not, and a sense of humor was provided to console him for what he is." Edwin Willwerth has been married for over fifty years and is the father of three children. He was a high school mathematics teacher for thirty years. Besides teaching in several public and private schools within the United States, he has also taught in Paraguay for one year, Nepal for two years and China for six months. He has been very active in his local church, serving for a number of years as a Sunday School teacher and later as head of the Sunday School Department. He was the Missionary Director within his church for several years. He has also spent time on Missionary projects in Haiti and Campeche, Mexico.

Book excerpt: From the bestselling author of the Blue Bloods and The Descendants series comes the third installment in the fantastical Witches of East End series. Freya Beauchamp is trapped in 1692, in Salem of all places, with no recollection of her past. A powerful enemy spell has sent her spiraling away so that she is separated by centuries from her mother, Joanna, and sister, Ingrid. This is not good news for a twenty-first-century witch. Not to mention the immediate threat she faces from the wealthy and influential Putnam family. When little Annie Putnam is one of the first to make accusations of witchcraft, her landowner father jumps at the opportunity to consolidate his power and expand his holdings in Puritan Salem Town. If Freya is caught using magic, she will be forced to relive the witch trials, and this time, her immortality will be in question. Meanwhile, twenty-first-century North Hampton has its own snares. Joanna and Norm consult the Oracle for advice, and Freddie and his pixie allies search for a missing totem that could reopen the passages of time and help bring his sister home. When Ingrid bumps into an old flame, she finds that her new love for Detective Matt Noble is in doubt. Moving between past and present, with dizzying plot twists and page-turning suspense, Winds of Salem is sure to bewitch fans old and new.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Spirit Wind, a collaborative investigation into the works and person of the Holy Spirit, clearly and richly demonstrates diversity in theological perspectives but unity in the Christian faith. All theological discussions should aim at humbly respecting theological distinctiveness while sincerely encouraging theological conversations. Spirit Wind offers itself to achieve just that. Spirit Wind consists of nine chapters written by nine Chinese theologians, born in the Orient and trained in the West, who are now serving passionately as seminary professors in Australia, Singapore, Taiwan, or the United States. Each author endeavors to explain the person and works of the Holy Spirit not only from Chinese standpoints but also from biblical, historical, and cultural/pastoral perspectives, and yet all chapters are theological in nature. No theologian claims to capture all matters about the Spirit, but every author of this book is captivated by the powerful presence, sovereign freedom, and beautiful operations of the Holy Spirit. You will be, too!
