Book excerpt: What do you do when the most joyful place on earth turns into a living nightmare? Ray and Bella are standing in line, impatiently waiting so she can meet her favourite character, Baroness Emberella, when things go horribly wrong. While Ray’s making one of the most difficult decisions of his life, Vanessa and Tom are separated as they try to get their twin boys to safety. In the meantime, Tyler and Michelle’s three-month dating anniversary has become a teenage tragedy, and Adrian struggles with looking after her younger brother. What starts as a typical day at the best amusement park in the universe quickly turns into chaos as a virus spreads like wildfire through the patrons and staff. As the shrinking number of uninfected fight for survival against the insatiable undead, the struggle to escape the park becomes increasingly difficult. How do they choose the right path while dealing with panic, loss, grief, anxiety, and uncertainty? Will they survive, or will they succumb to the hordes of undead shambling throughout the rides and attractions? In this suspenseful and horror-filled parody, author Kat Chartier brings a new twist to a tale of blood, gore, zombies, and theme parks.

Book excerpt: This carefully crafted ebook: "The Three Musketeers + Twenty Years After + The Vicomte of Bragelonne + Ten Years Later + Louise de la Valliere + The Man in the Iron Mask (The Complete d'Artagnan Romances)" is formatted for your eReader with a functional and detailed table of contents. The d'Artagnan Romances are a set of three novels by Alexandre Dumas telling the story of the musketeer d'Artagnan from his humble beginnings in Gascony to his death as a marshal of France in the Siege of Maastricht in 1673. Dumas based the life and character of d'Artagnan on the 17th-century captain of musketeers Charles de Batz-Castelmore, Comte d'Artagnan, and Dumas's portrayal was indebted to the semi-fictionalized memoirs of d'Artagnan written 27 years after the hero's death by Gatien de Courtilz de Sandras (published in 1700). The d'Artagnan novels are: The Three Musketeers, set in 1625; first published in serial form in the magazine Le Siècle between March and July 1844. Dumas claimed it was based on manuscripts he had discovered in the Bibliothèque Nationale. Twenty Years After, set in 1648; serialized from January to August, 1845. The Vicomte of Bragelonne: Ten Years Later, set between 1660 and 1673; serialized from October 1847 to January 1850. This vast novel has been split into three, four, or five volumes at various points. In the three-volume edition, the novels are titled The Vicomte de Bragelonne, Louise de la Vallière and The Man in the Iron Mask. In the four-volume edition, the novels are titled The Vicomte de Bragelonne, Ten Years Later, Louise de la Vallière and The Man in the Iron Mask Alexandre Dumas (1802 – 1870), also known as Alexandre Dumas, père, was a French writer, best known for his historical novels of high adventure. Translated into nearly 100 languages, these have made him one of the most widely read French authors in history.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Set in 1625, "The Three Musketeers" recounts the adventures of a young man named d'Artagnan after he leaves home to travel to Paris, to join the Musketeers of the Guard. Although D'Artagnan is not able to join this elite corps immediately, he befriends the three most formidable musketeers of the age: Athos, Porthos and Aramis and gets involved in affairs of the state and court. Dumas frequently works into the plot various injustices, abuses and absurdities of the old regime, giving the story an additional political aspect at a time when the debate in France between republicans and monarchists was still fierce. The novel Twenty Years After follows events in France during the Fronde, during the childhood reign of Louis XIV. The musketeers are valiant and just in their efforts to protect young Louis XIV and the doomed Charles I from their attackers. The Vicomte de Bragelonne, Louise de la Vallière and The Man in the Iron Mask are set between 1660 and 1667 against the background of the transformation of Louis XIV from child monarch to Sun King. Alexandre Dumas, père (1802-1870) was a French writer whose works have been translated into nearly 100 languages and he is one of the most widely read French authors. His most famous works are The Count of Monte Cristo and The Three Musketeers.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Musketeers: Complete D'Artagnan Series by Alexandre Dumas. lexandre Dumas (1802–1870) was a French writer. The complete adventures of d'Artagnan are told in the D'Artagnan Series that includes The Three Musketeers, Twenty Years After, The Vicomte of Bragelonne, Ten Years Later, Louise de la Valliere and The Man in the Iron Mask. Those novels by Dumas are together known as the d'Artagnan Romances. Set in the 17th century, it recounts the adventures of a young man named d'Artagnan after he leaves home to travel to Paris, to join the Musketeers of the Guard. D'Artagnan is not one of the musketeers of the title; those are his friends Athos, Porthos and Aramis, inseparable friends who live by the motto "all for one, one for all", a motto which is first put forth by d'Artagnan. Dumas based the life and character of d'Artagnan on the 17th-century captain of musketeers Charles de Batz-Castelmore from his humble beginnings in Gascony to his death as a marshal of France in the Siege of Maastricht in 1673.
