Book Synopsis Wrong and Dangerous by : Garrett Epps
Download or read book Wrong and Dangerous written by Garrett Epps and published by Rowman & Littlefield Publishers. This book was released on 2012-09-16 with total page 229 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The primary purpose of the United States Constitution is to limit Congress. There is no separation of church and state. The Second Amendment allows citizens to threaten the government. These are just a few of the myths about our constitution peddled by the Far Right—a toxic coalition of Fox News talking heads, radio hosts, angry “patriot” groups, and power-hungry Tea Party politicians. Well-funded, loud, and unscrupulous, they are trying to do to America’s founding document what they have done to global warming and evolution—wipe out the facts and substitute partisan myth. In the process, they seek to cripple the right of We the People to govern ourselves. In Wrong and Dangerous, legal scholar Garrett Epps provides the tools needed to fight back against the flood of constitutional nonsense. In terms every citizen can understand, he tackles ten of the most prevalent myths, providing a clear grasp of the Constitution and the government it established.

His book offers the most comprehensive analysis of the arguments behind the drafting and adoption of the Second Amendment, and the intentions of the men who created it.
Book Synopsis The Reformation of Union State Sovereignty by : M. Kenneth Creamer
Download or read book The Reformation of Union State Sovereignty written by M. Kenneth Creamer and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2013-04-05 with total page 305 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Are you unhappy about the intrusiveness of the federal government into you private and personal business? Are you interested in insulating your private and personal life from such intrusion? Then you need to understand the proper role your Union State is suppose to play in the structure of your Constitutional Republic, how that role has been subverted, and what can be done to get that essential role restored. Recently, there has been much talk about Liberty and State Sovereignty and the losses thereof. However, while it is encouraging to have these talking points make their way to the forefront of the main-stream, talk alone will accomplish nothing. The Reformation of Union State Sovereignty is an arsenal of well researched and well cited legal principals, as well as specific actions that can be taken in the battle to re-establish the Sovereignty of the Union States, and ultimately restore the cherished Liberties of We The People. It can never be too often repeated that the time for fixing every essential right on a legal basis is while our rulers are honest, and ourselves united. From the conclusion of this [the Revolutionary] war we shall be going downhill. It will not then be necessary to resort every moment to the People for support. They will be forgotten, therefore, and their rights disregarded. They will forget themselves, but in the sole faculty of making money, and will never think of uniting to effect a due respect for their rights. The shackles, therefore, which shall not be knocked off at the conclusion of this war will remain on us long, will be made heavier, till our rights shall revive or expire in a convulsion. -Thomas Jefferson on the drafting of the Virginia State Constitution
Book Synopsis It Takes a Revolution by : Larry Klayman Esq.
Download or read book It Takes a Revolution written by Larry Klayman Esq. and published by Post Hill Press. This book was released on 2020-10-27 with total page 173 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With a title that satirically mocks It Takes a Village by Hillary Clinton, It Takes a Revolution: Forget the Scandal Industry! details how our executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government have become thoroughly corrupt and failed the citizenry. Imploring Americans to turn away from the “scandal industry” of the cable news networks, which enrich themselves by magnifying crises—if not creating mass panic to boost ratings and advertising dollars—and offering false hope to lure viewers that there will be justice to remedy government corruption, the author Larry Klayman, both the founder of Judicial Watch and now Freedom Watch, offers concrete solutions for creating a federal judiciary and instituting citizens’ grand juries. Quoting Founding Fathers like John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, Klayman explains above all that without ethics, morality, and religion, it will not matter how many times we change our forms of government or rules—there will be no lasting liberty. This work is a call to arms during these times of crises, when government corruption has hit a “cancerous state.” The overriding message of It Takes a Revolution: Forget the Scandal Industry! is that Americans should turn off cable news, stop being entertained by it, get up off of the couch, and join the second American Revolution—albeit a peaceful and legal one—to restore the greatness of our nation in these trying and perilous times. Our continued existence hangs in the balance!
Book Synopsis The 50 Greatest Leaders of All Time by : Ryan Jackson
Download or read book The 50 Greatest Leaders of All Time written by Ryan Jackson and published by BookRix. This book was released on 2017-09-01 with total page 235 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: History has shown us that leadership can come from anywhere, from anyone. Some of the most recognizable names in history–Abraham Lincoln, Mahatma Gandhi–came from nothing. Some other recognizable names–Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Alexander the Great–came from great privilege. That's the beauty of leadership: its impartial to upbringing. History has also shown us that the world's greatest leaders come from all different fields. Albert Einstein is universally recognized as an innovative thought leader in science, while Mary Wollstonecraft is universally recognized as an innovative thought leader in the march towards women's rights. The bounds are endless. This book is a culmination of the great leaders of the world, ranking them based on two factors: leadership ability and impact on the world. It analyzes how the upbringing and life experiences of each of the chosen leaders influenced their leadership style, and what lessons can be pulled from them. The selected leaders impacted a broad range of people throughout their lives, and from many different platforms, from world leaders, to civil rights leaders, to philosophical leaders, to economic leaders, company leaders, and even to nation-building leaders. Every type of leader out there is examined in depth within these covers.

Nevertheless, we willingly grant these institutions power over nearly every aspect of our lives, and we even admire and assist those who are exploiting us. What is the purpose of the lies? Book Synopsis This Land is My Land by : James R. Skillen
Download or read book This Land is My Land written by James R. Skillen and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2020-08-10 with total page 297 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Among American conservatives, the right to own property free from the meddling hand of the state is one of the most sacred rights of all. But in the American West, the federal government owns and oversees vast patches of land, complicating the narrative of western individualism and private property rights. As a consequence, anti-federal government sentiment has animated conservative politics in the West for decades upon decades. In This Land Is My Land, James R. Skillen tells the story of conservative rebellion-ranging from legal action to armed confrontations-against federal land management in the American West over the last forty years. He traces the successive waves of conservative insurgency against federal land authority-the Sagebrush Rebellion (1979-1982), the War for the West (1991-2000), and the Patriot Rebellion (2009-2016)-and shows how they evolved from regional revolts waged by westerners with material interests in federal lands to a national rebellion against the federal administrative state. Cumulatively, Skillen explains how ranchers, miners, and other traditional users of federal lands became powerful symbols of conservative America and inseparably linked to issues of property rights, gun rights, and religious expression. Not just a book about property rights battles over Western lands, This Land is My Land reveals how the evolving land-based conflicts in the West since the 1980s reshaped the conservative coalition in America-a development that ultimately helped lead to the election of President Donald J. Trump in 2016.
Book Synopsis Angry White Male by : Wayne Allyn Root
Download or read book Angry White Male written by Wayne Allyn Root and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2016-08-23 with total page 299 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The mainstream media and ultra-liberal Democrats can’t understand why white voters, especially white men, are so angry. Wayne Allyn Root is an angry white male, and he knows why. This is his story, his testimony, and a look at what’s happening to an entire group of good people: law-abiding, tax-paying, hard-working, middle-class people. They’re being targeted, silenced, intimidated, persecuted — virtually wiped off the planet — in order to make guilty, politically correct white liberals feel better about themselves. It’s open season on white males. And yes, you’re damn right they’re angry. In Angry White Male, Root makes his case why he and his brethren have every right to be angry. Millions of angry white males are not on the attack but rather responding in self-defense. Root urges the middle class to take charge before they are protested and legislated out of existence, penniless, powerless, jobless, afraid to speak for fear of being shouted down and immediately labeled “racist.” Not afraid of being politically incorrect, Angry White Male exposes the unfair and unregulated policies, politically correct attitudes, and reverse racism that have recently oppressed and depressed the shrinking middle class — in voting, housing, guns, taxes, regulation, and jobs — and provides the playbook to empower readers to protect their rights. They can do this by verbalizing, mobilizing, and protesting, getting out to vote in record numbers, pushing for term limits, fighting the “not so free” trade battle, fighting for a “Middle-Class Contract with America” and “Middle-Class Income Tax Vacation,” and arming themselves with the “Middle-Class Weapon of Self-Defense.” Let the revolution begin!
Book Synopsis The Soul of the Earth by : Samuel A. Nigro, MD
Download or read book The Soul of the Earth written by Samuel A. Nigro, MD and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2013 with total page 727 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: SOUL OF THE EARTH by Samuel A. Nigro, MD SOUL OF THE EARTH--by Samuel A. Nigro, MD is the accumulation of what was learned over 70 plus years of life, over 45 years of marriage, over 40 years as a psychiatrist, 3 years in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service, and as a first generation American with five children and ten grandchildren. The planet and mankind are amazing. To limit ourselves to behaviors as if there is nothing more, is contradicted by an accurate comprehensive understanding of the planet and the universe. Basically, love is superior to all and the universe is the entropy necessary for the expression of love. Love itself requires there to be more. Nothing more is a cruel joke that life and love are meaningless. All logic and reason demand there be more, and we should act as if there is even much more love in anticipation. And if there isn t, then there ought to be! Regardless, the world would be better by believing in such and acting as such. The book provides some articles but most of it is the way to live a transcendental life: organized matter sanctified and given a soul by identity, truth, oneness, good and beauty for everyone s life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness partially the subtitle of the book. You get substance and the transcendental principles for living that save by actuality for a change. This is in contrast to the virtual reality culture of the unreliable manipulating self-discrediting noisy glitzy press&media imposed substanceless non-being which, by suggestibility, turns us into choiceless aliens instead of free persons for the planet. By the self-worshiping self-discrediting press&media, we are on the madman road-rage race to the bottom culture of pollution, disgust, death, and decline. Not by this book. Against vulgar suggestibility and glitz caused gullibility, this book gives real being by teaching six analogous ways of living the wisdom-filled eight categories of metaphors of love in the cone of space-time: As a human particle by elementary physics event, spectrum, field, quantum, singularity, dimension, uncertainty, and force. As a human being by community universals dignity, unity, integrity, identity, spirituality, life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. As a C/catholic, Roman or otherwise, by the sacraments Baptism, Penance, Holy Communion, Extreme Unction, Holy Orders, Matrimony, and Grace. As a Christian by the virtues faith, hope, charity, prudence, justice, courage, temperance, and holiness. As a patient by the universal variables of all therapy living things are precious, selective ignoring, subdued spontaneity non-self excluded, affect assistance, detached warmth & gentleness, non-reactive listening, C2CC centered candidness, and peace & mercy. And as sanctified by the last words of the crucified Christ. Take your pick or combine them all. Except for the quantity, it is simple. Thousands of aphorisms and concepts about every imaginable topic are offered to teach ancient secrets from nature and nature s God (to quote the Founding Fathers of America). The book SPIRITUALIZES our contemporary materialist culture by an audacious free-spirited sacramentalization of everything. Read it through once; then a few pages or a chapter daily; and problem-solve as needed by index and perusal. You will be better. The world will be better. You will learn to be a real human being for everyone. And you will have your soul back by embracing the universal Mass mantra: life-sacrifice-virtue-lovehumanity-peace-freedom-death.

Jack must fight the elements, time and the government he once swore to protect. The reviews are in: I cannot stress enough how much I enjoyed this book! I read roughly 50 to 60 books a year, mostly non-fiction but sometimes I need a break and mix in some fiction. This was by far one of the best fiction books I've read in my life! Sort of an Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged theme mixed with modern day scenarios mixed with science fiction. That combination makes for a truly fun and entertaining read. -Robert Stifler - This book should be required reading for every out of touch liberal. It is fiction and we should all hope that the opening chapters remain so. This book would make a really good movie! -Dorothy Cronin- Mr. Salcedo did a fine job keeping me entertained in a fun story that, for a time, allowed me to escape the oppression that progressive government is working so diligently to implement. I would encourage the author to consider a sequel. -Lone Star Girl-
