Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Death, which is universal, is a great event in our lives for which we as human beings seek an explanation. 'The Life In The Hereafter' is based on the Quranic concept of human life and its purpose in this world which is accountability for our deeds and is called the Law of Requital. The Quran points to the fact that human beings comprise of both a physical body which follows physical laws, and an inner self which develops further through the impact on it of our thoughts and deeds. Essentially there are two concepts of life: according to the first, human life ends with physical death, while according to the second, the human self will move on to the next higher stage of life after death. The impact on the self of our thoughts and deeds during this life will determine if the balance is heavier towards constructive effects i.e. if we have lived according to the Permanent Values given in the Quran, or if the balance is heavier towards destructive effects. This book throws light on this from the viewpoint of the Quran and the Quran invites us to reflect profoundly on this by using our intellect and reasoning as this is the only life we have to 'send something forward for our tomorrow'.

So often we hear the words, "I feel hardness in my heart," "I do not find any joy in worship," "I feel that my faith has hit rock bottom," "Reading Qur'aan does not move me," "I fall into sin so easily." The effects of this affliction can be seen in many people, and this problem is the cause of every disaster and adversity.

Book excerpt: In the Hereafter, every person will be rewarded for his most minor offense, and no one will be left un-rewarded for a good, and unpunished for an evil done by him. Allah says: "But man desires to persist in his evil ways."In this brief sentence, the real disease of the deniers of the Hereafter has been clearly diagnosed. What makes them deny the Hereafter is not their regarding the Resurrection and Hereafter as impossible. However, they deny it, because acceptance of the Hereafter, imposes certain moral restrictions on them, which they detest. They desire to continue roaming, the world at will, as they had been roaming before. They want full freedom to go on committing whatever injustice, dishonesty, sin and wickedness that they had been committing before, and there should be no deterrent to obstruct their freedom and to warn them, that one day they will have to appear, and render an account of their deeds before their God. Therefore, it is not their intellect, which is hindering them from believing in the Hereafter, but their desires of the self.

This book was released on 2016-01-01 with total page 165 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Imam Tirmidhi narrates that the Prophet ﷺ ordered people to 'Be modest before Allah, as is His due.' The Prophet ﷺ then explained that 'Modesty before Allah means protecting the head and all that is in it; and protecting the stomach and all that is inside it. Furthermore, you should remember death and decay, for one whose eyes are set on the Hereafter keeps away from worldliness. One who accomplishes all of this is one who is modest before Allah, as is His due.' This work is an elaborate commentary on the aforementioned hadith. It covers Divine and Prophetic injunctions, as well as scholarly discussions relating to a variety of subjects, such as having pure belief in Allah; the various facets of spiritual purification; how to use the bodily parts in a lawful manner; maintaining honest financial transactions; the rules of good social conduct; and the remembrance of death and rulings connected to it. The treatise ends with a detailed outline of the substantial events heralding the End of Time and the events of the life after death; in the grave and on the Day of Judgement, and a description of the final abodes of Heaven and Hell.

Book excerpt: The Islamic Hereafter is all about pleasure and pain - hedonistic pleasures and agonizing pain. While Muslim children are expected to have read the entire Koran by the age of seven, The Islamic Hereafter is not for children whose parents are not into persuasion through terror. If Allah's revelations about the appalling indescribable pain and cruelty unbelievers can expect on Judgement Day, and later when He confines them all in His Hell, are not enough to cause them to experience unforgettable bone-chilling nightmares, His Messenger's ghastly visions of a claustrophobic zombie-like existence underground surely will.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Quran is a unique book, and unlike most other books, it does not have a beginning, middle, or end. It is not arranged according to different topics or subject matter. The traditional Quran is arranged in accordance with the inner requirements of its message as a whole and not in the chronological order in which the individual passages were revealed. The seemingly abrupt transition from one subject to another is also in accord with the Quranic principle of deliberately interweaving moral exhortation with practical legislation. This in pursuance of the teaching that man's life-spiritual and physical, individual and social-is one integral whole, and therefore requires simultaneous consideration of all its aspects if the concept of the good life is to be realized. In accordance with the system prevailing throughout the Quran, a lengthy passage dealing with purely moral or ethical questions is usually followed by verses relating to social legislation and this with a view to bringing out the intimate connection between man's spiritual life and his social behavior. Rearrangement according to the Subject Matter The Quran as written was meant for the common people to read in its original order and to immerse themselves in it. But for scholars, lawyers, and anyone who needs to study a particular issue, it would be handy to have it arranged by subject matter. For example, the subject of divorce is discussed in the Quran in chapters 2, 33, 58, 60, and 65. Compiling all the verses about divorce in one place gives the reader a quick reference. The Quran for the Western ReadersThe Quran in its original format is likely to be confusing to a Western reader. Thomas Carlyle's a renowned Orientalist described the Quran as "a wearisome confused jumble, crude, incondite; endless iterations, long-windedness, entanglement; most crude, incondite [sic]; - insupportable stupidity, in short!" Carlyle was by no means an Islamophobe; as a matter of fact, his essay "The Hero as Prophet" was a rare objective analysis of Muhammad's life. A discussion of varying subjects within the same chapter appear unconnected and may cause confusion and misunderstanding, especially for those not familiar with the uniqueness of the Quran. For the Western readers, the Quran according to the subject matter will be much easier to read and understand. Al-ghaybThis Divine Writ-let there be no doubt about it-is [meant to be] guidance for all the God-conscious who believe in [the existence of] that which is beyond the reach of human perception. (2:2-3) Al-ghayb, commonly and erroneously translated as "the Unseen," is used in the Quran to denote all those sectors or hidden realities that lie beyond the range of human perception and cannot, therefore, be proven or disproven by scientific observation or even adequately addressed within the accepted categories of speculative thought. The concept of the existence of a realm that is beyond the reach of human perception, constitutes the fundamental premise for understanding the call of the Quran. It is, indeed, a basic principle of almost every religion, for God Himself belongs to the realm of al-ghayb. All truly religious cognition arises from the fact that only a small segment of reality is open to man's perception and imagination, and by far the larger part of it escapes his comprehension altogether. For instance, metaphysical subjects such as God's attributes, the ultimate meaning of time and eternity, the resurrection of the dead, the Day of Judgment, paradise and hell, the nature of the beings or forces described as angels and Jinn, and so forth, all fall into the category of al-ghayb. Only a person who is convinced that the ultimate reality comprises far more than our observable environment can attain a belief in God and, thus, to a belief that life has meaning and purpose.

Book excerpt: Any divide between revelation and rationality, religion and logic has to be irrational. If religion and rationality cannot proceed hand in hand, there has to be something deeply wrong with either of the two. Does revelation play any vital role in human affairs? Is not rationality sufficient to guide man in all the problems which confront him? Numerous questions such as these are examined with minute attention. All major issues which intrigue the modern mind are attempted to be incorporated in this fascinatingly comprehensive statute. Whatever the intellectual or educational background of the reader, this book is bound to offer him something of his interest. It examines a very diverse and wide range of subjects including the concept of revelation in different religions, history of philosophy, cosmology, extraterrestrial life, the future of life on earth, natural selection and its role in evolution. It also elaborately discusses the advent of the Messiah, or other universal reformers, awaited by different religions. Likewise, many other topical issues which have been agitating the human mind since time immemorial are also incorporated. The main emphasis is on the ability of the Quran to correctly discuss all important events of the past, present and future from the beginning of the universe to its ultimate end. Aided by strong incontrovertible logic and scientific evidence, the Quran does not shy away from presenting itself to the merciless scrutiny of rationality. It will be hard to find a reader whose queries are not satisfactorily answered. We hope that most readers will testify that this will always stand out as a book among books – perhaps the greatest literary achievement of this century.
