Book Synopsis I Overcame My Autism and All I Got Was This Lousy Anxiety Disorder by : Sarah Kurchak
Download or read book I Overcame My Autism and All I Got Was This Lousy Anxiety Disorder written by Sarah Kurchak and published by Douglas & McIntyre. This book was released on 2020-04-02 with total page 186 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sarah Kurchak is autistic. She hasn’t let that get in the way of pursuing her dream to become a writer, or to find love, but she has let it get in the way of being in the same room with someone chewing food loudly, and of cleaning her bathroom sink. In I Overcame My Autism and All I Got Was This Lousy Anxiety Disorder, Kurchak examines the Byzantine steps she took to become “an autistic success story,” how the process almost ruined her life and how she is now trying to recover. Growing up undiagnosed in small-town Ontario in the eighties and nineties, Kurchak realized early that she was somehow different from her peers. She discovered an effective strategy to fend off bullying: she consciously altered nearly everything about herself—from her personality to her body language. She forced herself to wear the denim jeans that felt like being enclosed in a sandpaper iron maiden. Every day, she dragged herself through the door with an elevated pulse and a churning stomach, nearly crumbling under the effort of the performance. By the time she was finally diagnosed with autism at twenty-seven, she struggled with depression and anxiety largely caused by the same strategy she had mastered precisely. She came to wonder, were all those years of intensely pretending to be someone else really worth it? Tackling everything from autism parenting culture to love, sex, alcohol, obsessions and professional pillow fighting, Kurchak’s enlightening memoir challenges stereotypes and preconceptions about autism and considers what might really make the lives of autistic people healthier, happier and more fulfilling.

This book was released on 2021-10-05 with total page 139 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Ministry of Reconciliation is something God gave unto me before I entered into the ministry. In my getting alone with God, fasting and praying, and shutting in at Sister Linnie Gunn’s beauty shop between 1979 and 1980, I heard the Lord say: I have given unto you the Ministry of Reconciliation. I entered into the ministry in August 1981. I evangelized from 1981 until 1998, when God called me into pastoring. The Ministry of Reconciliation, along with the prophetic ministry, has greatly been in operation in my life and through me. Glory be to God. I have seen the hearts of so many reconciled back unto God, and the harvest is about to become greater than ever before. Almost thirty-five years have been added on to my life since the beginning of my ministry, but I’m about to enter into the harvest that has been sown. I overcame by the blood of the Lamb. Christine was married to Melvin Peebles. Together, they have two sons, Kelvin and Titus, who Christine loves more than she can express. They have blessed her with four grandchildren - Christopher, Kelisha, Kaniya, and Kortney. 2

I wanted to give my readers one book that lists all of the beneficial research that helped me win the battle over MS. I am currently testing and compiling more research with my husband, Scott. We hope to share our latest research in a second book in the year 2016.

Download or read book COMMUNION: written by William L. Graham and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2023-10-04 with total page 514 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Communion with Christ is much more than a ceremony. When Adam sinned, communion, in its full sense, was lost. The entire Bible story demonstrates God’s design to reestablish communion to its fullest, ultimately bringing us to a new heaven and a new earth. My heart’s desire is that each of these communion messages will be a daily reminder of what God did for us. While one may choose to sit and read through these devotionals, this is probably not the most profitable method. They are better read as a means to stimulate daily contemplation. Communion with God and with fellow believers is to be a way of life.

Book Synopsis A Commentary on ROMANS by : David Pawson
Download or read book A Commentary on ROMANS written by David Pawson and published by Anchor. This book was released on 2015-08-11 with total page 142 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Why would Paul write his longest letter to a church he had not founded or even visited? This expositor believes the answer lies in its history, culminating in a major crisis which could have split the whole church into two denominations. Originally Jewish (Acts 2:10–11), it soon attracted Gentiles, who were left on their own when Claudius evicted all Jews (Acts 18:2). In their absence a teaching emerged which we now know as 'Replacement Theology', believing that God has rejected the Jews and turned instead to the Christian Church as his chosen people on earth, a view which, alas, is now widespread. Paul's carefully argued answer shows how much believing Jews and Gentiles have in common, both in sin and salvation, in flesh and Spirit. This approach treats 'Chapters 9–11', (divisions never in his letter) as an integral part of his appeal, reaching its climax in a threefold challenge to the arrogance of the Gentile believers in Rome (11:18, 20, 25) in not warmly welcoming back into the fellowship the Jews who were allowed to return under Nero. This 'key' unlocks the whole epistle, from the solemn warning that believers can lose their salvation (11:20–22) to the careful instruction on how to live with 'disputable matters' such as diet and days (14:1 – 15:13); and ends with so many commands to greet each other with 'a holy kiss' (16:16). However, as with most of Paul's practical counsel, all this is firmly rooted in sound 'gospel' theology.
