Book excerpt: A simple, imaginative story depicting the complex emotional reality of a girl whose father no longer lives at home. The girl conjures up an imaginary companion — a lion — who will join her on the long walk home from school. He will help her to pick up her baby brother from daycare and shop at the store (which has cut off the family’s credit), and he’ll keep her company all along the way until she is safely home. He will always come back when she needs him, unlike her father whom she sees only in a photograph — a photograph in which he clearly resembles a lion.

With conscription on the horizon, he fled in search of safety, adventure, and better economic prospects. So begins Richard Asmet Awid’s historical family biography on the Lebanese diaspora and the Lebanese pioneers in the Canadian prairies. While centered around Richard’s close and extended family, this book also serves as a comprehensive history on the Lebanese migration to North America over the course of 135 years. Told in accessible and engaging prose, this biography gives an intimate look into the under-represented Canadian Lebanese community and their remarkable stories.

Amya was chosen by Almighty God, before her birth, to help deliver his message of holy love to those whom he sends us to. Amya has two God-inspired books published at this time. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This autobiography is about a characters transition from a curious child, to an evil adolescent into a highly self-secure spiritual man. As a child he loves and is very close to his grandmother, whom although poor, she's always happy, very spiritual and the only real example of anyone being close to God. He loves to sit down with her and listen curiously as she discribes the beauty of heaven, aswell as reads and explaines, the at times grim prophecies of the bible. Still to young to understand, he would remain a confused and bitter unbeliever, due to all the pain and suffering that surrounded him on a daily basis. He's a child growing up in a very tough racially divided community, who never looks for trouble but trouble always finds him. At first he could care less and isn't impressed by the hoods in the fast life. But on the surface, compared to his mother and any hard working individual, it was the hoods that had it all. So by the time he'd become an adolescent, he's tired of being poor, any good he had left in him has faded and he vows to do whatever it takes to get ahead even if he has to kill! In the process he prays to the devil, makes an abundance of money, gains power and attains an unbelievable amount of notoriety. He'd become almost uncontrollable to the point, where he's very aware but dosn't care, that he only has two stops left, life in prison or eternal death in hell! Untill one fateful day when he's made to think about his only son, after a crime he'd commited that could have hurt or even killed an enemies innocent kids and thus began his road to repentance.

This God-dictated book consists of a spiritual conversation between Almighty God, the blessed Holy Trinity, Barbara Ann Mary Mack, Gods holy angels, and His great creation (human beings). This God-inspired book is written in the form of poetry, which makes it easy to follow and understand. The Present Testament is a continuance of the Old and New Testament of the Christian Holy Bible. Almighty God speaks through me today, as He spoke through the biblical prophets and messengers of the past. The Lord God uses ordinary people today, as He did in the past. He continues to communicate with us during this period of time.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the middle of tremendous darkness occurring worldwide and on a personal level for many, we must know that Christ is our best light of navigation through it all. There are many false lights vying for our attention, which, in the end, can bring shipwreck to people’s lives. Being focused intently on God’s pathways and His light (His truth) will carry us through to safe harbor. This book shares the “God stories” occurring in one woman’s pursuit of God’s presence and personal relationship with Him. It is the story of a thread of love woven in a life journey where His movement occurs in subtle-yet-unexpected ways. There are also moments of dramatic interventions on God’s part that astound as well. Many call this weaving of God’s movement and presence in our lives “the dance,” and it is a dance of the best kind. The events recorded here speak of trusting God in the midst of suffering and sorrow, which touch so many lives daily; however, it will also lift and encourage you as God’s engaging actions surprise as well. A greater recognition of how God moves and presents Himself in our moments will be eye-opening. We all have those hard questions we’ve asked God and not believed we would ever hear an answer to. Unfortunately, church culture teaches that He moves so mysteriously that we will not have the answers we desperately need when life’s tragedies hurt us deeply. This book dispels that misunderstanding and shows a God who loves us deeply and wants to answer our seemingly impossible questions gladly.
