Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the medieval period before Science had made its stamp on the world there were many practitioners of magic. Ceremonial Magic pre-Lodge magic variation, was considered the most powerful of all magic at that time, practiced from complex 'how to' manuals called grimoires. The grimoires were often annonymous or credited to unbelievable authorship such as King Solomon from the bible. Often people have attempted to trace the grimoire practices to earlier times to understand the mindset of the practitioners but there is no real clear origin that can be established which makes it near impossible. This book takes a unique look at visible appearance in the grimoires; drawing key qoutes and formulating them from the grimoires themselves in to the view of the Grimoire writers. What methods are there to make a spirit appear? Are they visions? Can a spirit become solid? These questions are discussed inside, by one of the current occult personalities pro visible and physical manifestation: Tolka Scrolls.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What caused a former Dallas Seminary professor to believe that the miraculous gifts of the Holy Spirit are being given today? What convinced someone skeptical about miracles that God still speaks and heals? A dramatic change took place in Jack Deere’s life when he took a fresh look at the Scriptures. He discovered that his cherished arguments against miraculous gifts were based more on prejudice and a lack of personal experience than on the Bible. As soon as Deere became a seeker instead of a skeptic, the Holy Spirit revealed himself in new and surprising ways. In Surprised by the Power of the Spirit, Jack Deere provides a strong biblical defense for the Spirit’s speaking and healing ministries today. He also describes several reliable cases of people who were miraculously healed or who heard God speak in an unmistakable way. Finally, he gives sound advice for using spiritual gifts in the church. Written in popular style-with the care of a scholar but the passion of personal experience-this book is a vital resource for people on both sides of the debate about miraculous gifts.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Trance states, prophesying, convulsions, fasting, and other physical manifestations were often regarded as signs that a person was seized by spirits. In a book that sets out the prehistory of the early modern European witch craze, Nancy Caciola shows how medieval people decided whom to venerate as a saint infused with the spirit of God and whom to avoid as a demoniac possessed of an unclean spirit. This process of discrimination, known as the discernment of spirits, was central to the religious culture of Western Europe between 1200 and 1500.Since the outward manifestations of benign and malign possession were indistinguishable, a highly ambiguous set of bodily features and behaviors were carefully scrutinized by observers. Attempts to make decisions about individuals who exhibited supernatural powers were complicated by the fact that the most intense exemplars of lay spirituality were women, and the "fragile sex" was deemed especially vulnerable to the snares of the devil. Assessments of women's spirit possessions often oscillated between divine and demonic interpretations. Ultimately, although a few late medieval women visionaries achieved the prestige of canonization, many more were accused of possession by demons.Caciola analyzes a broad array of sources from saints' lives to medical treatises, exorcists' manuals to miracle accounts, to find that observers came to rely on the discernment of bodies rather than seeking to distinguish between divine and demonic possession in purely spiritual terms.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is about the boisterous beginnings of the American Pentecostal movement and the ideas that defined that movement during those formative years. It follows a group of men who rethought the Christian faith in light of their new experience of God. Thinking in the Spirit aims to provide scholars and general readers who know little or nothing about Pentecostalism with an introduction to the ideas of the movement's most articulate early spokespersons, and to provide Pentecostals with a non-judgmental historical source to help them in their theological reflections. Douglas Jacobsen focuses on the individuals who formed the original brain trust of this now gigantic religious movement. In a 25-year burst of creative energy at the beginning of the 20th century, these leaders articulated almost all the basic theological ideas that continue to define the Pentecostal message in the United States and around the world.

Book excerpt: Denying Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, is the greatest mistake the entire world has made in the past and present and will continue to make in the future. Without Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in one's life, how can a person live coexisting with spirit beings known as demons, wicked spirit persons who have inhabited the earth the entire time mankind has been on earth? Yet the world lives as though we don't coexist with spirit beings, and to reject or deny the only person whom these spirit beings obey is like living without a cause. People, the world in general, it's imperative to acknowledge that demon spirits have invaded human bodies. Demonic forces, whom we can't see nor control, are in control of multitudes of human lives, which have persons in spiritual warfare with invisible demons as enemies in mankind and fighting a battle within themselves and against others like themselves. These demons, which are also named evil spirits, are in human bodies as demon control spirits, sometimes called devils as they became dominant spirit forces. Demons have been assigned to us in the body of humankind to harm, kill, and destroy lives by any means. Demons have been assigned to our children to possess as their own to harm, steal, or destroy lives and family livelihood. The power of Jesus Christ's name provides protection for all mankind in the spirit realm, believers as well as nonbelievers.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Life is filled with challenges—moments of pressure, difficulty, and adversity that test the very fabric of our being. These moments can often feel overwhelming, pushing us to the brink of our strength and sometimes beyond. However, Proverbs 24:10 (KJV) warns, "If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small." The New Living Translation puts it even more plainly: "If you fail under pressure, your strength is too small." This verse highlights a critical truth: our ability to withstand adversity is directly tied to the strength of our spirit. If our spirit is weak, if it is not energized by the power of God, we will falter in the face of challenges. But if our spirit is strong, fortified by the divine energy that flows from the Creator Himself, we will stand firm, even in the fiercest storms. The spiritual energy that God imparts to us is a source of unshakable strength. It is this energy that gives us the resilience to face life's pressures without crumbling, the courage to confront difficulties without retreating, and the fortitude to endure adversities without losing hope. This strength is not something we muster on our own; it is the direct result of God's power working within us. When we draw upon this spiritual energy, we find that we are able to endure what others cannot. We can face trials with a peace that defies circumstances, with a hope that transcends despair, and with a faith that remains unshaken. This is the strength that God offers to every believer—a strength that enables us to not just survive adversity but to triumph over it.

Generously illustrated, this landmark project combines the breadth of a comparative approach to religion with the depth of understanding of Caribbean spirituality as an ever-changing and varied historical phenomenon. Organized alphabetically, entries examine how Caribbean religious experiences have been shaped by and have responded to the processes of colonialism and the challenges of the postcolonial world. Systematically organized by theme and area, the encyclopedia considers religious traditions such as Vodou, Rastafari, Sunni Islam, Sanatan Dharma, Judaism, and the Roman Catholic and Seventh-day Adventist churches. Detailed subentries present topics such as religious rituals, beliefs, practices, specific historical developments, geographical differences, and gender roles within major traditions. Also included are entries that address the religious dimensions of geographical territories that make up the Caribbean. Representing the culmination of more than a decade of work by the associates of the Caribbean Religions Project, The Encyclopedia of Caribbean Religions will foster a greater understanding of the role of religion in Caribbean life and society, in the Caribbean diaspora, and in wider national and transnational spaces.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Paul Tillich is exceptional in modern theologians that his distinctive and abundant understanding of the concept of life and spirit has the potential to engage with other disciplines, such as biology, psychology, cosmology and social science; and that his ontological understanding of “life as spirit” which is so crucial in the ecological consideration, is so complex and subtle that enables powerful and critical inter-religious dialogue in environmental ethics. This book argues that, despite the fact that Tillich did not engage in ecological and environmental theology directly, his abundant personal experience of nature-mysticism and intellectual understanding of the idea of nature rooted in his Lutheran and German idealist heritages and, more importantly, his ontological-pneumatological holistic and multi-dimensional conception of unifying and differentiated reality, perfectly and organically coupled with the theonomous vision of theology of culture, nature and morality is profoundly ecologically oriented.

That there is a God thats not only watching, but also performing an awesome work before us (mankind) and those who are watching and influencing us. This book also contains a former and latter writings which took 22 years for its completion. This book also gives prophecies concerning the years to follow as well as the knowledge and technology which is forth coming and destine for our generation. And if that was not enough, this book also reveals the key to the understanding of the Unified Field Theory which Albert Einstein was unable to finish in his life time. And to date it has been cast off and replaced with other concepts which he himself rejected. Because he knew that there is a Unity Theory that would apply to these fields together, because they are liken to one another and must have a common link to their characteristics. This in turn would open a whole new concept that will usher in a knowledge and an awesome Technology that our mind has never even considered before.
