L'objectif était de comprendre le vécu, les attitudes et les représentations des interlocuteurs. Source de conflits, la conduite automobile des séniors est un sujet difficile, souvent tabou au sein d'une famille. Les angoisses des proches, liées à la peur de l'accident et aux conséquences de l'arrêt, sont palpables. Les répondants recherchent de l'aide face à la responsabilité des décisions à prendre et la culpabilité qui en découle. Les principaux soutiens réclamés sont la création d'un cadre législatif et l'appui du médecin généraliste. Le médecin généraliste, par la sensibilisation et de la prévention, a un rôle important à jouer. Il doit devenir un interlocuteur privilégié pour les âgés
