Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: U.S. Presidents, Congress, and UFOs (declassified)This book has over 400 pages of information on UFOs during each Presidential Administration from Roosevelt to Obama. We ask: What did the Presidents know and when did they know it? Between the CIA and DIA, U.S. Presidents received Intelligence reports daily about UFO activities around the world. Furthermore, each morning they woke up, and newspapers shared stories of ordinary citizens having visitations from unusual spacecraft.Though Presidents have been pre-empted from discussing the topic for National Security reasons, we have ample proof they were well informed. Surrounded by a Secretary of Defense, Secretary of State, and own scientific teams, our Presidents were given CIA, DOD, and Air Force reports of UFO intrusions in U.S. Air Space. In this book, you will read UFO stories from Congressmen, Governors, Presidents, Pilots, Civilian, and Military leaders from around the world. A few quotes from the book: "They told me that all governments and military authorities throughout the world know that flying saucers exist and that they are craft from another planet. They have absolute proof of both things." - A Research Scientist"These Visitors from outer space are dangerous when apprehended and hostile when attacked. We have already lost many planes attempting to shoot down one of them." - A General"The examination of the bodies showed they were 'humanoid' --but not from this planet. In some cases, the cause of the crash was determined with accuracy; it was not apparent in the other." - American Reporter, quoting British Authorities"We've seen about every kind of known aircraft. This monster was like nothing we'd seen before. It was too close to us and too clear in detail to be anything but a man-made ship...we prefer to believe that it's one of our own ships that's still a military secret. I'd certainly hate to know that our air force would have to face a fleet of machines like that... It was so awe-inspiring that it just paralyzed us for the moment". - Commercial Airline Pilot"The passengers stared at each other, scared. The 'thing' was now near the plane, flying at its side at an unknown distance and (again) keeping pace with it...The witnesses froze in their seats, as they saw the strange red object glowing behind the wing. Suddenly, in an unexpected maneuver, the glowing saucer rushed toward the plane, passing above it at tremendous speed... From the lighted cabin, it was difficult to get a good look at the UAO, but it appeared to be shaped like a flattened disk and seemed to be surrounded by a faint red glow." - Another Commercial Airline Pilot"We recovered an unidentified airplane off the coast of California...with no bearing on conventional explanation. This Headquarters has come to the determination that the mystery airplanes are in fact, not earthly and, according to secret intelligence sources, they are in all probability of interplanetary origin." - Rear Admiral Anderson, President Roosevelt Administration, Top Secret MemoAbout the AuthorJohn Scott Chace is the author of ten other books on UFOs, including "UFOs In U.S. AIRSPACE" and "Project Blue Book." He is the son of Colonel Chaplain Alston R. Chace (USAF) and nephew of Colonel Frank C. Chace (USMC). A Christian and military brat, John lived on many of the U.S. Air Force bases where UFO incidents took place in Scotland, England (U.K.), and the U.S

Book excerpt: The author team that wrote the upcoming Skyhorse title Edison vs. Tesla, as well as The Haunting of the Presidents and other titles about the weird, the supernatural, and the unexplained, turn their attention to the oval office for a unique view of UFOs in America and more specifically, what America's presidents--from Washington to Obama--have witnessed and believed. Most of us know that George Washington was heavily involved with the secret society the Freemasons. But how many of us know about George Washington's UFO sighting during the terrible winter at Valley Forge, and how the experience guided his future? Marilyn Monroe is rumored to have had UFO intel that she gained via pillow-talk from JFK. Under Nixon's presidency we orbited and walked upon the surface the moon while almost at the same time the Air Force was exploiting the Air Force as scientific cover for its decision to terminate Project Blue Book. Jimmie Carter was visited by UFOs multiple times. UFOs and the White House is an oft-overlooked glimpse at history that will appeal to historians as well as advocates of the paranormal.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What are UFOs? Why are they here? What is the Government not telling us? Exposed, Uncovered, and Declassified: UFOs & Aliens strives to address all of these questions--and more--by covering new evidence of famous sightings and contact with aliens, and uncovering classified files from world-class collections and archives--all courtesy of the world's leading experts on modern ufology. Nuclear physicist and world-renowned UFO expert Stanton T. Friedman discusses how close we really are to interstellar travel. Erich von Daniken, father of the ancient astronaut theory, discusses the possibility and evidence of ancient hybrid creatures created by visiting god-like aliens. Nick Pope, former member of the British Ministry of Defence, covers the latest UFO documents released by the UK's National Archives, including such fascinating information as: what Churchill knew, why the documents are being released now, what's in them, and what's still being withheld. Donald R. Schmitt, the former co-director of the J. Allen Hynek Center for UFO Studies, takes on the aftermath of the Roswell incident, discussing in detail the initial stages of the government's cover-up attempts. Air Force veteran Thomas J. Carey chronicles the military's attempts to intimidate people into not telling their stories about what they have seen with their own eyes. The niece of Betty and Barney Hill, Kathleen Marden, gives a short history of cases of alien abduction, many which continue to baffle the American public and UFO investigators alike. Nick Redfern provides a fresh take on the famous 1953 UFO crash in Kingman, Arizona, and explores its possible connection to a government program to reverse-engineer alien spacecraft. Something is out there, and Exposed, Uncovered, and Declassified: UFOs & Aliens will help us find out exactly what--or who--it is.

Book excerpt: An award-winning journalist investigates a story largely ignored by mainstream media but right there, in front of our eyes ... UFOs, UAPs, flying cigars, extraordinary new technologies ... Are we not alone? Award-winning investigative journalist Ross Coulthart has been intrigued by UFOs since mysterious glowing lights were reported near New Zealand's Kaikoura mountains when he was a teenager. The 1978 sighting is just one of thousands since the 1940s, and yet research into UFOs is still seen as the realm of crackpots and conspiracy theorists. In 2020, however, after decades of denial, the US Department of Defence made the astonishing admission that strange aerial and underwater objects frequently reported and videoed by pilots and tracked by sensors are real, unexplained, and pose a genuine national security concern. Compelled to investigate, Coulthart has embarked on what's become the most confronting and challenging story of his career, speaking to witnesses, researchers, scientists, spies and defence and intelligence officials and insiders. What he has found suggests that the world is on the cusp of extraordinary technological breakthroughs and cultural revelations. Bizarre, sometimes mind-blowing and utterly fascinating, In Plain Sight tells a story that's largely escaped the radar of mainstream media coverage but has been there all along. Now it's time to observe what's in front of our eyes.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Every president has had a unique and complicated relationship with the intelligence community. While some have been coolly distant, even adversarial, others have found their intelligence agencies to be among the most valuable instruments of policy and power. Since John F. Kennedy's presidency, this relationship has been distilled into a personalized daily report: a short summary of what the intelligence apparatus considers the most crucial information for the president to know that day about global threats and opportunities. This top–secret document is known as the President's Daily Brief, or, within national security circles, simply “the Book.” Presidents have spent anywhere from a few moments (Richard Nixon) to a healthy part of their day (George W. Bush) consumed by its contents; some (Bill Clinton and George H. W. Bush) consider it far and away the most important document they saw on a regular basis while commander in chief. The details of most PDBs are highly classified, and will remain so for many years. But the process by which the intelligence community develops and presents the Book is a fascinating look into the operation of power at the highest levels. David Priess, a former intelligence officer and daily briefer, has interviewed every living president and vice president as well as more than one hundred others intimately involved with the production and delivery of the president's book of secrets. He offers an unprecedented window into the decision making of every president from Kennedy to Obama, with many character–rich stories revealed here for the first time.

Book excerpt: #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Barack Obama’s lucid vision of America’s place in the world and call for a new kind of politics that builds upon our shared understandings as Americans, based on his years in the Senate “In our lowdown, dispiriting era, Obama’s talent for proposing humane, sensible solutions with uplifting, elegant prose does fill one with hope.”—Michael Kazin, The Washington Post In July 2004, four years before his presidency, Barack Obama electrified the Democratic National Convention with an address that spoke to Americans across the political spectrum. One phrase in particular anchored itself in listeners’ minds, a reminder that for all the discord and struggle to be found in our history as a nation, we have always been guided by a dogged optimism in the future, or what Obama called “the audacity of hope.” The Audacity of Hope is Barack Obama’s call for a different brand of politics—a politics for those weary of bitter partisanship and alienated by the “endless clash of armies” we see in congress and on the campaign trail; a politics rooted in the faith, inclusiveness, and nobility of spirit at the heart of “our improbable experiment in democracy.” He explores those forces—from the fear of losing to the perpetual need to raise money to the power of the media—that can stifle even the best-intentioned politician. He also writes, with surprising intimacy and self-deprecating humor, about settling in as a senator, seeking to balance the demands of public service and family life, and his own deepening religious commitment. At the heart of this book is Barack Obama’s vision of how we can move beyond our divisions to tackle concrete problems. He examines the growing economic insecurity of American families, the racial and religious tensions within the body politic, and the transnational threats—from terrorism to pandemic—that gather beyond our shores. And he grapples with the role that faith plays in a democracy—where it is vital and where it must never intrude. Underlying his stories is a vigorous search for connection: the foundation for a radically hopeful political consensus. Only by returning to the principles that gave birth to our Constitution, Obama says, can Americans repair a political process that is broken, and restore to working order a government that has fallen dangerously out of touch with millions of ordinary Americans. Those Americans are out there, he writes—“waiting for Republicans and Democrats to catch up with them.”

And the conclusion is overwhelmingly powerful.” —Whitley Strieber, New York Times–bestselling author Richard M. Dolan is a gifted historian whose study of US Cold War strategy led him to the broader context of increased security measures and secrecy since World War II. One aspect of such government policies that has continued to hold the public’s imagination for over half a century is the question of unidentified flying objects. UFOs and the National Security State is the first volume of a two-part detailed chronological narrative of the national security dimensions of the UFO phenomenon from 1941 to the present. Working from hundreds of declassified records and other primary and secondary sources, Dolan centers his investigation on the American military and intelligence communities, demonstrating that they take UFOs seriously indeed. Included in this volume are the activities of more than fifty military bases relating to UFOs, innumerable violations of sensitive airspace by unknown craft and analyses of the Roswell controversy, the CIA-sponsored Robertson Panel, and the Condon Committee Report. Dolan highlights the development of civilian anti-secrecy movements, which flourished in the 1950s and 1960s until the adoption of an official government policy and subsequent “closing of the door” during the Nixon administration. “A thorough and monumental undertaking.” —Dr. Edgar Mitchell, Apollo 14 astronaut “If there ever had been a ‘must-read, must-have’ book on the subject, UFOs and the National Security State is it. I promise you that once you’ve read it, you’ll never view the subject of UFOs or the American military/intelligence establishment in the same light again.” —Don Ecker, senior editor, UFO Magazine

Book excerpt: An extraordinary 95 percent of all Americans have at least heard or read something about UFOs, and 57 percent believe they are real. In late 1993, after being pressured by UFOlogists for the release of information on UFOs, the CIA ordered a review of all Agency files. Using CIA records compiled from that review in 1994, this study traces CIA interest and involvement in the UFO controversy from the late 1940s to 1990. It chronologically examines the Agency's efforts to solve the mystery of UFOs, its programs that had an impact on UFO sightings, and its attempts to conceal CIA involvement in the entire UFO issue. What emerges from this examination is that, while Agency concern over UFOs was substantial until the early 1950s, CIA has since paid only limited and peripheral attention to the phenomena. This book was released on 2013 with total page 1486 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Preface 2012 edition: The United States Code is the official codification of the general and permanent laws of the United States. The Code was first published in 1926, and a new edition of the code has been published every six years since 1934. The 2012 edition of the Code incorporates laws enacted through the One Hundred Twelfth Congress, Second session, the last of which was signed by the President on January 15, 2013. It does not include laws of the One Hundred Thirteenth Congress, First session, enacted between January 3, 2013, the date it convened, and January 15, 2013. By statutory authority this edition may be cited "U.S.C. 2012 ed." As adopted in 1926, the Code established prima facie the general and permanent laws of the United States. The underlying statutes reprinted in the Code remained in effect and controlled over the Code in case of any discrepancy. In 1947, Congress began enacting individual titles of the Code into positive law. When a title is enacted into positive law, the underlying statutes are repealed and the title then becomes legal evidence of the law. Currently, 26 of the 51 titles in the Code have been so enacted. These are identified in the table of titles near the beginning of each volume. The Law Revision Counsel of the House of Representatives continues to prepare legislation pursuant to 2 USC 285b to enact the remainder of the Code, on a title-by-title basis, into positive law. The 2012 edition of the Code was prepared and published under the supervision of Ralph V. Seep, Law Revision Counsel. Grateful acknowledgment is made of the contributions by all who helped in this work, particularly the staffs of the Office of the Law Revision Counsel and the Government Printing Office. -- John. A. Boehner, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Washington, D.C., January 15, 2013--Page VII.

Book excerpt: The CIA’s 2013 release of its book The Central Intelligence Agency and Overhead Reconnaissance 1954–1974 is a fascinating and important historical document. It contains a significant amount of newly declassified material with respect to the U-2 and Oxcart programs, including names of pilots; codenames and cryptonyms; locations, funding, and cover arrangements; electronic countermeasures equipment; cooperation with foreign governments; and overflights of the Soviet Union, Cuba, China, and other countries. Originally published with a Secret/No Foreign Dissemination classification, this detailed study describes not only the program’s technological and bureaucratic aspects, but also its political and international context, including the difficult choices faced by President Eisenhower in authorizing overflights of the Soviet Union and the controversy surrounding the shoot down there of U-2 pilot Francis Gary Powers in 1960. The authors discuss the origins of the U-2, its top-secret testing, its specially designed high-altitude cameras and complex life-support systems, and even the possible use of poison capsules by its pilots, if captured. They call attention to the crucial importance of the U-2 in the gathering of strategic and tactical intelligence, as well as the controversies that the program unleashed. Finally, they discuss the CIA’s development of a successor to the U-2, the Oxcart, which became the world’s most technologically advanced aircraft. For the first time, the more complete 2013 release of this historical text is available in a professionally typeset format, supplemented with higher quality photographs that will bring alive these incredible aircraft and the story of their development and use by the CIA. This edition also includes a new preface by author Gregory W. Pedlow and a foreword by Chris Pocock. Skyhorse Publishing, as well as our Arcade imprint, are proud to publish a broad range of books for readers interested in history--books about World War II, the Third Reich, Hitler and his henchmen, the JFK assassination, conspiracies, the American Civil War, the American Revolution, gladiators, Vikings, ancient Rome, medieval times, the old West, and much more. While not every title we publish becomes a New York Times bestseller or a national bestseller, we are committed to books on subjects that are sometimes overlooked and to authors whose work might not otherwise find a home.
