Book excerpt: Le but de notre travail est, d'une part de concevoir une architecture totalement relationnelle pour un générateur de système interactif d'aide à la décision (SIAD), et d'autre part de réaliser un langage unifié pour la base de données, la base de modèles et les dialogues associés du générateur. Ceci est réalisé en deux étapes. Nous avons tout d'abord à unifier la base de modèles avec une base de données relationnelle existante. En même temps nous avons développé des outils de gestion pour gérer les données, les modèles mais aussi les dialogues du système. Nous sommes arrivés à disposer d'un ensemble d'outils de gestion d'une apparence similaire et d'un mode d'utilisation analogue. Ensuite nous avons conçu une architecture relationnelle pour les trois bases du générateur. Grace à l'introduction de la notion de la base de dialogues, nous sommes arrivés à unifier la structure de représentation interne et externe des données, des modèles et des dialogues avec une base de données relationnelle. Les dialogues du système deviennent ainsi une partie indépendante du programme. Cette unification architecturale nous permettra de disposer d'un seul et unique outil de gestion pour l'ensemble des composants du SIAD.
