Book excerpt: "In Uncharted, internationally acclaimed intuitive counselor and "spiritual cartographer" Colette Baron Reid, whose best-selling books include The Map and Messages from Spirit, shows us that in the new normal of uncertainty, we can overcome the challenge of feeling disoriented, scared, and helpless and chart a path to new possibilities. It's in the places unfamiliar to us--the uncharted places--where magic lies. Here we can claim our innate power to give birth to an extraordinary life and become who we are called to become. Colette explains, "When we're lost, we all want a map--but maps can only tell us where we've been." All of us, personally and collectively, are headed somewhere new, to a future that has not yet been imagined, and we're creating it as we go. With her trademark compassionate candor and reassuring humor, as well as input from a wise, loving consciousness who call themselves "Fred," Colette guides us on a journey of co-creation through five interconnected realms--the Realms of Spirit, Mind, Light, and Energy, Form. Whatever we wish to experience and manifest, if we start in the realm of Form, trying to fix our lives and think our way out of our problems, we end up living inauthentically and feeling disappointed. But if we orient ourselves in the Realm of Spirit first, a magical process of transformation begins within, from which we can manifest a new reality far better than we might ever have imagined. Following this path, we get to experience what we came to create in the Realm of Form, and watch as our fear gives way to a deep sense of purpose and enthusiasm for participating in the co-creative process. Throughout Uncharted are fresh and exciting exercises drawn from Colette's trademarked energy psychology process, IN-Vizion

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In between the covers of An Uncharted Journey Into the Abyss, are eighteen short stories that don’t always end up with fairy tale endings. In fact, quite a few of them rip at our emotions and pause us to think about life, and how it doesn’t always end up the way we planned. From an Indian tribe on the brink of slaughter, to a hard nosed veteran policeman tracking a serial killer, we find ourselves drawn deep within the psyche of the main characters. Can a poor young Mexican boy save his family and farm from a vicious predator eating their livestock? Will a cocky self-assured man from back East have his ego shattered by a native American cashier in the West? Or will you be soaring above the crashing seas as a ptarmigan looking for an escape? An Uncharted Journey Into the Abyss will walk you along high mountain trails with a curmudgeonly old prospector, haunt a family as a Civil War ghost, and even visit a planet on a search and reconnaissance mission. And within each story, embedded deep within each of them, is a kernel of truth. Whether you, as the reader, decide to decipher its meaning is completely up to you.

Book Synopsis One Life's Journey by : Leanne Harshbarger
Download or read book One Life's Journey written by Leanne Harshbarger and published by Dorrance Publishing. This book was released on 2016-12-06 with total page 90 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One Life’s Journey by Leanne Harshbarger The poetry in One Life’s Journey was penned based on the life and worldly travels of the author. As a young college graduate, she decided to travel to France for a year expanding her education while experiencing European culture at the young age of twenty-three. Upon her return, and envisioning such differences between European and United States cultures, these adventures struck a spark in her to begin writing about her experiences. Within a couple of years though, a major change in her career forced her to reconsider her path in life. A period of time developed in her early 30s in which she went through many troubling times from a career perspective as well as broken relationships. During this period, her visions about dreams, love, relationships, and life in general troubled her greatly. Her writings became more advanced and touched on the reality of what the author was experiencing along with other people struggling with the same issues. The author wrote the poems in One Life’s Journey because they applied to her personally during portions of her life. The poems are based on what happens as we go through life; real love, sometimes lost, real relationships, sometimes broken, how we dream what could be, and a family most people hope they have. The author created a special section called ‘What beholds Us.’ She believed we, as inhabitants of this great planet called Earth, don’t take into consideration the beauty that surrounds us, what keeps us, what holds us. Our daily lives cause us to not stop, take a moment and ‘smell the roses.’ Her poems in this section ask her readers to just stop a second, and look at the beauty that surrounds us all.

Download or read book Mother of God written by Paul Rosolie and published by Harper Collins. This book was released on 2014-03-18 with total page 229 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “An old-fashioned jungle adventure, one with rare immediacy and depth of feeling for the people and creatures [Rosolie] encounters.” —Wall Street Journal For fans of The Lost City of Z, Walking the Amazon, and Turn Right at Machu Picchu comes naturalist and explorer Paul Rosolie’s extraordinary adventure in the uncharted tributaries of the Western Amazon—a tale of discovery that vividly captures the awe, beauty, and isolation of this endangered land and presents an impassioned call to save it. In the Madre de Dios—Mother of God—region of Peru, where the Amazon River begins its massive flow, the Andean Mountain cloud forests fall into lowland Amazon Rainforest, creating the most biodiversity-rich place on the planet. In January 2006, when he was just a restless eighteen-year-old hungry for adventure, Paul Rosolie embarked on a journey to the west Amazon that would transform his life. Venturing alone into some of the most inaccessible reaches of the jungle, he encountered giant snakes, floating forests, isolated tribes untouched by outsiders, prowling jaguars, orphaned baby anteaters, poachers in the black market trade in endangered species, and much more. Yet today, the primordial forests of the Madre de Dios are in danger from developers, oil giants, and gold miners eager to exploit its natural resources. In Mother of God, this explorer and conservationist relives his amazing odyssey exploring the heart of this wildest place on earth. When he began delving deeper in his search for the secret Eden, spending extended periods in isolated solitude, he found things he never imagined could exist. “Alone and miniscule against a titanic landscape I have seen the depths of the Amazon, the guts of the jungle where no men go, Rosolie writes. “But as the legendary explorer Percy Fawcett warned, ‘the few remaining unknown places of the world exact a price for their secrets.’” Illustrated with 16 pages of color photos.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: J. Krishnamurti is one of the most revolutionary thinkers of our age. To listen to him or to read his books is an experience by itself. He challenges every norm and value of individual as well as social life. He is not interested in mere outer changes; he stands for a fundamental transformation, what he calls the Mutation of the Mind. He states that there must arise first the New Man before a New Society can be brought into existence. The present book deals comprehensively with all aspects of Krishnamurti`s teachings, his philosophy, his psychology and a practice of no-practice. Krishnamurti says: Society is always static; only in the individual can there be a radical revolution. It is with this individual revolution that this book is fundamentally concerned.
