Book Synopsis Diritto e fattore religioso nello spazio europeo by : BOTTONI, R.
Download or read book Diritto e fattore religioso nello spazio europeo written by BOTTONI, R. and published by G Giappichelli Editore. This book was released on 2019-05-24 with total page 259 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

This book was released on 2021-09-28 with total page 18 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Book Synopsis The Oxford Handbook of Comparative Law by : Mathias Reimann
Download or read book The Oxford Handbook of Comparative Law written by Mathias Reimann and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2019-03-26 with total page 1593 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This fully revised and updated second edition of The Oxford Handbook of Comparative Law provides a wide-ranging and diverse critical survey of comparative law at the beginning of the twenty-first century. It summarizes and evaluates a discipline that is time-honoured but not easily understood in all its dimensions. In the current era of globalization, this discipline is more relevant than ever, both on the academic and on the practical level. The Handbook is divided into three main sections. Section I surveys how comparative law has developed and where it stands today in various parts of the world. This includes not only traditional model jurisdictions, such as France, Germany, and the United States, but also other regions like Eastern Europe, East Asia, and Latin America. Section II then discusses the major approaches to comparative law - its methods, goals, and its relationship with other fields, such as legal history, economics, and linguistics. Finally, section III deals with the status of comparative studies in over a dozen subject matter areas, including the major categories of private, economic, public, and criminal law. The Handbook contains forty-eight chapters written by experts from around the world. The aim of each chapter is to provide an accessible, original, and critical account of the current state of comparative law in its respective area which will help to shape the agenda in the years to come. Each chapter also includes a short bibliography referencing the definitive works in the field.
Book Synopsis Handbook of Research on Healthcare Standards, Policies, and Reform by : Comite, Ubaldo

This book was released on 2022-04-08 with total page 408 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The healthcare industry has been the center of attention recently as it continues to have a major impact on private and public organizations, government institutions, and consumers. An increasing number of requests for healthcare has led to the implementation of new policies and reform proposals that are challenging as they can have a simultaneous impact on different categories of users. As many health, individual, and organizational activities continue to grow and are conducted in the general environment, new vulnerabilities have emerged that have led to the need to study the system from a different angle. The nature, source, and complexity of healthcare is not always clear, and many times health issues are underestimated. The Handbook of Research on Healthcare Standards, Policies, and Reform examines the complex issues, various problems, and innovative solutions that are linked to healthcare standards, policies, and reform. This comprehensive reference work provides important knowledge that impacts healthcare improvement from the perspective of multiple disciplines, adding innovation value to solving health issues. Covering topics such as health protection, psychological health, and healthcare technology, it is an essential resource for academicians, healthcare practitioners, researchers, healthcare scientists, professional bodies, professors and students of higher education, and policymakers.

Book Synopsis Rationalized and Extended Democracy by : Giovanni Molteni Tagliabue
Download or read book Rationalized and Extended Democracy written by Giovanni Molteni Tagliabue and published by Firenze University Press. This book was released on with total page 246 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this book, Giovanni Molteni Tagliabue asserts that the realization of the values and the implementation of the objectives as indicated in democratic constitutions (political, social rights and the people’s welfare) are hindered by structural defects of the legislative/government architecture and processes. Expertise and science have scarce say in politics and policy. The author suggests an innovative view through the ‘REDemo Project’. 1. Rationalization: the insertion of public scientists into legislative/executive mechanisms, with the creation in each democracy of a National Scientific Assembly – parallel to the extant partypolitical Chamber of Representatives – consisting of academic experts and researchers (legal scholars, political analysts, economists, sociologists, land/urban planners, industry/infrastructure designers, biotechnologists, agronomists, ecologists, educationists, specialists on public health, on cultural heritage, etc.) elected by universal suffrage; 2. Extension: the broadening of the institutions of direct democracy and reinforcement of the electorate as decision-maker of last resort. So the main themes and objectives of the book are an examination of the major flaws in today’s democracies (pars destruens) and a proposal for a renewed institutional framework (pars construens).

How is the European Union structured? What are its features and how should it change to take that qualitative step and achieve the original idea of a land that is the cradle of different, but close nations, and turn itself into a united Europe which represents the States but also the citizens. In one word, a Federation? Today’s Europe is a great door with many locks; to discover the Europe of the future and look ahead of us, we need to find all the keys and open all these doors. This is why we wrote this book, which takes a picture of some of the main features of today’s Europe, each one of which is a lock that needs to be opened, and for which we try to suggest the right keys. The keys of our European federation.

Download or read book Les Demoiselles d’Avignon and Modernism written by Maite Méndez Baiges and published by Firenze University Press. This book was released on with total page 150 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book meticulously analyses the history of the critical reception of avantguard art through the interpretations received by one of its greatest emblems, Les Demoiselles d'Avignon by Picasso, 1907. Since Les Demoiselles has been considered over this century the true paradigm of Modern Art, this book is, fundamentally, a sort of synthesis of the discourses about Modernism from formalism, iconology, Leo Steinberg's 'Other Criteria’, sociological, the biographical and psychoanalytical theses, cultural and historicist and lastly, the impact of post-structuralism and the feminist, post-colonialist and transnational interpretations. The final chapter deals with the artistic versions of Les Demoiselles d'Avignonmade by artists. It is an essay on the different versions and identities of Modern Art and Modernism that have been produced throughout the last century.
