Eine Typisierung spielt sich zunächst nur im Kopf ab, wird diese Typisierung dann jedoch nach außen getragen, so spricht man von Etikettierung. Wenn diese Etikettierung dann schließlich dauerhaft wird, so spricht man von Stigmatisierung. Grundlagen für diese Arbeit sind erstens der Text von Friedrich Lösel: "Prozesse der Stigmatisierung in der Schule" bezüglich des Typisierungs- und Stigmatisierungsbegriffs und zweitens der Text "Labeling- Prozesse und ihre Konsequenzen für den Schüler" von David H. Hargreaves bezüglich der Labeling- Theorie. Der Schwerpunkt dieser Arbeit liegt auf der Behandlung von Etikettierungsprozessen basierend auf Edwin Lemert′s Theorie und den Stigmatisierungsprozessen in der Schule. Auf diese Aspekte der Untersuchung abweichenden Verhaltens und der dauerhaften Folgen einer Etikettierung wird in den Kapiteln zwei und drei genau eingegangen. Es soll also insbesondere um die Behandlung der Frage gehen, welche Konsequenzen die Etikettierung eines Verhaltens als abweichend für den Erzeuger oder Urheber dieses Verhaltens hat. Ein abweichendes Verhalten setzt im Zusammenhang Schule immer einen Interaktionsprozeß zwischen einem Lehrer und einem Schüler voraus. Der Schüler zeigt ein Verhalten, und der Lehrer beobachtet, sanktioniert und bewertet dies. Es soll also auch um diese Interaktionsprozesse innerhalb der Schule zwischen Lehrer und Schüler gehen, die ein abweichendes Verhalten in Form einer Verletzung der schulischen Normen- und Wertemuster durch den Schüler voraussetzen. Es geht hierbei nicht um die Frage "Warum stören oder versagen Schüler; weichen also von den Normen ab?", sondern im Vordergrund geht es um die Frage nach den Personen, die ein Verhalten als abweichend erkennen und die Folgen einer Einstufung des Verhaltens als abweichend für den Erzeuger.

Um die Ursachen abweichenden Verhaltens zu begründen, ist es erforderlich Etikettierungs- und Stigmatisierungsprozesse mit einzubeziehen. Das Jugendalter ist die Zeit zahlreicher Veränderungen und Einflüsse. Außer der Familie und der Schule wirken vor allem die Peer-Group auf das Verhalten der Jugendlichen ein. Da die Jugendphase geprägt ist durch Suchen, Ausprobieren und Differenzieren, treten dort viele Formen abweichenden Verhaltens auf. Die Verhaltensweisen der Schüler zeigen sich nicht nur in der Familie und in der Clique, sondern auch in der Schule. Schüler die von Etikettierungsprozessen betroffen sind werden als Abweichler angesehen und verhalten sich nicht norm-konform. Das Werteklima der außerschulischen Clique deckt sich nicht mit dem der Schule. In meiner Arbeit zeigt sich, dass Etikettierungs- und Stigmatisierungsprozesse in der Schule Auswirkungen auf das Gewaltverhalten der Jugendlichen haben. Um ein besseres Verständnis der gesamten Arbeit zu verschaffen, wird am Anfang eine allgemeine Definition über abweichendes Verhalten und die Begriffe Typisierung, Etikettierung und Stigmatisierung gegeben. Im weiteren Verlauf folgen Typisierungsprozesse in der Schule und empirische Ergebnisse.

The peasant festival images were first produced as woodcut prints in the decade between 1524 and 1535 by Sebald Beham. In Before Bruegel, Alison Stewart takes a fresh look at these images and explores them within their historical and cultural contexts, including the introduction of the Lutheran Reformation into the town's institutions and the accompanying re-evaluation of the town's popular festivals. Stewart goes beyond the black-and-white approaches of previous interpretations, to examine the festival prints in a more complex manner. These avenues of inquiry intersect with larger cultural questions concerning societal control of women. The book's three sections, 'Saints,' 'Sinners,' and 'Sisters, Wives, Poets' are each preceded by a concise introductory essay, detailing themes and offering reflective comparisons of theses and information.
