Book Synopsis Homological Algebra by : Marco Grandis
Download or read book Homological Algebra written by Marco Grandis and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2013 with total page 356 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book proposes a study of semi-exact homological categories as a basis for a generalized homological algebra. The aim is to extend homological notions to deeply non-abelian situations, where satellites and spectral sequences produced by unstable homotopy can still be studied.

Book Synopsis Dynamics, Games and Science II by : Mauricio Matos Peixoto
Download or read book Dynamics, Games and Science II written by Mauricio Matos Peixoto and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2011-05-27 with total page 757 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dynamics, Games and Science I and II are a selection of surveys and research articles written by leading researchers in mathematics. The majority of the contributions are on dynamical systems and game theory, focusing either on fundamental and theoretical developments or on applications to modeling in biology, ecomonics, engineering, finances and psychology. The papers are based on talks given at the International Conference DYNA 2008, held in honor of Mauricio Peixoto and David Rand at the University of Braga, Portugal, on September 8-12, 2008. The aim of these volumes is to present cutting-edge research in these areas to encourage graduate students and researchers in mathematics and other fields to develop them further.
Book Synopsis $\mathcal {R}$-Boundedness, Fourier Multipliers and Problems of Elliptic and Parabolic Type by : Robert Denk
Download or read book $\mathcal {R}$-Boundedness, Fourier Multipliers and Problems of Elliptic and Parabolic Type written by Robert Denk and published by American Mathematical Soc.. This book was released on 2003 with total page 130 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The property of maximal $L_p$-regularity for parabolic evolution equations is investigated via the concept of $\mathcal R$-sectorial operators and operator-valued Fourier multipliers. As application, we consider the $L_q$-realization of an elliptic boundary value problem of order $2m$ with operator-valued coefficients subject to general boundary conditions. We show that there is maximal $L_p$-$L_q$-regularity for the solution of the associated Cauchy problem provided the top order coefficients are bounded and uniformly continuous.

Book Synopsis Charting the Operator Terrain by : John Ernest
Download or read book Charting the Operator Terrain written by John Ernest and published by American Mathematical Soc.. This book was released on 1976 with total page 217 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The purpose of this memoir is to offer a cartographic procedure for bringing some organizational sense to the prodigious task of exploring and describing the vast and varied terrain of bounded operators on a separable Hilbert space. While we prove (in a certain sense) that the classification of all operators up to unitary equivalence is an essentially unattainable objective, we hope this theory will prove serviceable in colonizing some additional enclaves as well as suggesting other more rugged areas which one might probe in search of fascinating and unusual phenomena.

Book Synopsis Linear infinite-particle operators by : V. A. Malyshev Robert Adol_fovich Minlos
Download or read book Linear infinite-particle operators written by V. A. Malyshev Robert Adol_fovich Minlos and published by American Mathematical Soc.. This book was released on 1995-02-13 with total page 314 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The main subject of this book can be viewed in various ways. From the standpoint of functional analysis, it studies spectral properties of a certain class of linear operators; from the viewpoint of probability theory, it is concerned with the analysis of singular Markov processes; and, from the vantage point of mathematical physics, it analyzes the dynamics of equilibrium systems in quantum statistical physics and quantum field theory. Malyshev and Minlos describe two new approaches to the subject which have not been previously treated in monograph form. They also present background material which makes the book accessible and useful to researchers and graduate students working in functional analysis, probability theory, and mathematical physics.
