My Personal Account of a Neurotic Mother-in-Law Although I had always heard about the terrible experiences of having a narcissistic mother-in-law, I never imagined that I would experience it myself. I was completely enamored with her son, Charles, and I was certain that our union was intended. However, after we were married, everything was different.
