Each and every book of the Bible is in this book with a few of my own poems not based upon the book that I read to get the major poems about the most important parts of the Bible. If you like the Psalms but find the other parts of the Bible a bit confusing, then this is a book that will help you understand the Bible better. We have a loving, but just God. You wouldn’t let your child run wild in the traffic of the streets would you? Well God sets down rules so that we can be safe and get through this sometimes hard world. He does it because He loves us! I hope this book will give you hours of enjoyment. I know I learned a lot from writing it that I did not know from reading the actual Bible. Nothing can surpass the actual Bible, but for some, you may find this book to be rather fun. The poems were written from reading a small book about the most important parts of each book of the Bible. God bless you, Diann Ross Woodbury

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Finding God Beneath The Ashes" is unique in style. Each chapter has a section of Bible verses in a poetic form, with occasional comments to encourage or explain, placed like stepping stones across a flowing mountain stream. A foundation for the book is laid by presenting quotes from the Founding Fathers, their acknowledging their need of God in giving birth to our nation. When all seemed lost, they called upon God! In our nation's first stepping stones they wrote the words, "We are endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights!" This book is to help you to recover that God! In the dangers of our present time, in the aftermath of the ashes of 9/11, where and how are we to find God? It is written with the purpose of helping you to discover God by pondering Biblical themes and comments as helps to you along the way. The verses were collected much the way you would gather brightly colored leaves on a Fall day, freely picking and choosing leaves of different shapes, colors and sizes. The collection then is gathered into clusters about God to speak to your mind and heart. This Book is not intended to be a quick read. It's like a walk in the woods. It's sitting on a ledge, looking across a great canyon. In places, it is a trip down the rapids. It's a place where you can argue with God about what is written, a place to share your sorrow or loss, where you can cry out, "why?" It is a place where you can find quiet pastures along a gently flowing stream, or safety through the valleys of the shadows of death. It's designed to help you find the peace of God. This book begins with the silence of God before time or space through His mighty words and deeds in history. From beginning to end it covers the major themes: God in the chaos of the beginning, His giving of safe boundaries for living, the strong things God stands for like love and justice. The book introduces you to the names of God which will show you what He is really like, what we are to call Him‐ His name introduces Him to us and the wonder of who He is. We come to Jesus as our Friend. Like the fireman at 9/11 He gave His life in the smoke and ashes to save us. In Jesus we see God come down to earth. The ending of the book gives lines from the poetry of The Psalms with indicated places to pause and be alone with God and with your own thoughts without comments by the writer. What else can you expect from within these pages? You can expect explanations on how the Bible is put together, illustrations and examples from the lives of people who are living their faith with others, how to live out the model of Jesus through friendship with others. The Book can be used over and over again, a chapter at a time‐ a section now and then. It can be used with others in groups or with just two or three together. It's a book designed for you, a place to find God in the dangers, brokenness, in the joys and in the ashes of living.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "The Seeds of Change" is a collection of inspired poems that help bring to life several of the key lessons taught within God's word, the Holy Bible. These poems combined with short lessons based on key verses of scripture illustrate some of the primary elements these lessons of verse are trying to convey. So often, people are interested to learn more about how the Bible relates to their personal lives and experiences, but they really do not know where to begin or how to go about it. "Th e Seeds of Change" can help show them just how to achieve that relationship. Th e poems package these teaching in what some might consider a more palatable and relatable form, while the passages from scripture illustrate just how the Bible relates to our everyday lives. By first sharing the message in language familiar to most readers, then exposing the reader to that same concept within the scriptures the reader begins to understand just how God intended the Bible to be used in our everyday lives. In that sense, the poems and scripture combine together to create the lessons of verse that plant God's seeds of change into the mind of the reader. And as any follower of our Lord and savior Jesus the Christ knows, when these seeds are planted within good ground, they will not return void. For He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one will reach the father except by him.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The third chapter of the Holy Bibles book of Ecclesiastes begins To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven . . . (KJV). This book is but a mere sample of observations made during various times the author experienced or an effort to capture a state of being or mood and express it through poetryas a christian. Being one who has made many mistakes (but acknowledging the Lord in all ways so that God can direct her path), From Beneath The Surface begins with an attempt to state the authors understanding of what Christianity is to her. One of the first few poems admits I Dont Know with regard to where to begin as a christian witness while continuing to seek the Lords purpose for her life. First View gives a brief glimpse of the authors humble beginnings. All poems in between the covers (from Fear to Givin Up) attempts to convey thoughts experienced while passing through situations while outside of Gods will (He Felt That Way One Day, Romantic Fool Unleashed, etc.)having gotten off track (Reality Attack)as well as inside of Gods will. Praying to God with Lord These People Need Help; understanding comes through Love Anyway; then a few philosophical words shared through such poems as Room For All and Grains of Sand. The author ends with the poem Keep the Faith Alive! which confirms that no matter what lies ahead, with faith in God, the Lord will see you through. Heres written proof that even a person with a messed-up life can witness for the Lord when called to do so. Having experienced hurt, abuse, anguish, pain, heartache, deception, discrimination, rejection, etc. (just like everyone else has), after prayerfully reading the Holy Bible, the author has grown to understand that love (in a godly mannerwith patience, kindness, endurance, steadfastness, etc.) is what the christian is supposed to do as Christs representative. Regardless of the situation or circumstance, ones belief, faith and love of God should shine through because With God, all things are possible. Please note that although this compilation was first copyrighted in May 1990, all works were written prior to 1988 and additional material has been added reflective through current situation. With a goal of putting something positive back into her communitywithout stepping on or using others to do so, Karen utilizes God-given talent and ability to interpret her lifes situation. (One could say these works touch on existentialisma philosophy centered upon the analysis of ones existence in the worldwith regard to the authors relationship with God at different times in her life.) Hopefully, this book will be a good representation. From Beneath The Surface is a book written from Karens heart, with her hand and in lovebased on her lifes experiences. As you share, please keep this in mindnothing contained herein is intended to offend any person, place or thing. Hopefully, inspiration to learn and grow in Gods Word, the Holy Bible, will be ignited, lighting the pathway for Jesus love to come into your heart, guiding you through your lifes journey. Read your Holy Bible today, then go out and live the Word! God bless you! In christian love and devotion, Karen Maddox DBA Faith Unlimited Enterprises P.O. Box 3963 Louisville, KY 40201-3963
