They are: values, goals, passions, talents, balance, efficiency and happiness. I know that they are all very difficult questions. Each person will need to find their own answer. The obvious thing is: if you have not asked the question then you cannot have the answer. The right question to ask is half the way. The most important thing is to apply and practice. When you have read them, I hope you will apply them to your life. Any knowledge would be worthless if not applied.

Book Synopsis How to express yourself with a causal connective by : Mirna Pit
Download or read book How to express yourself with a causal connective written by Mirna Pit and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2022-03-07 with total page 370 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Dutch, German and French languages display a variety of regularly used connectives all of which introduce causes, arguments or reasons, such as Dutch omdat, want and aangezien, German weil, denn and da, and French parce que, car and puisque. Why should languages have different connectives to express the notion of backward causality? The central argument developed in this book is that different connectives express different degrees of subjectivity. In a series of corpus analyses it is shown that the degree of subjectivity of the main participant involved in the causal relation strongly predicts the occurrence of one or another connective. Hence, language users have at their disposal connectives of varying degrees of subjectivity. In an analysis of judiciary sentences, it is revealed that speakers are actually sensitive of this semantic distinction, and sometimes even exploit it for their communicative purposes: in order to conceal their subjective involvement, judges prefer objective over subjective connectives. This volume makes a contribution to the study of language in use, by applying empirical methods to authentic language data. It will be of interest to anyone concerned with discourse coherence, perspective and subjectivity, corpus linguistics and cross-linguistic analyses.

Download or read book God's Crime Scene written by J. Warner Wallace and published by David C Cook. This book was released on 2015-08-01 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There are four ways to die, and only one of them requires an intruder. Suicides, accidental, and natural deaths can occur without any evidence from outside the room. But murders typically involve suspects external to the crime scene. If there’s evidence of an outside intruder, homicide detectives have to prepare for a chase. Intruders turn death scenes into crime scenes. Join J. Warner Wallace, former atheist, seasoned cold-case detective, and popular national speaker as he tackles his most important case ... with you on the jury! With the expertise of a cold-case detective, J. Warner examines eight critical pieces of evidence in the “crime scene” of the universe to determine if they point to a Divine Intruder. If you have ever wondered if something (or someone) outside the natural realm created the universe and everything in it, this is the case for you.
Book Synopsis The Sensible Guide to Program Management Professional (PgMP)® Success by : Te Wu
Download or read book The Sensible Guide to Program Management Professional (PgMP)® Success written by Te Wu and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2021-07-27 with total page 314 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A Sensible Guide to Program Management Professional (PgMP)® Success is for program managers preparing to take the PgMP exam based on The Standard for Program Management – 4th Edition (PgM4 Standard). It is designed for busy professionals whose responsibilities have taken them into the realm of coordinating, facilitating, managing, and leading programs. Program managers are leaders who are directly managing large amounts of project resources for their organizations. This study guide addresses three main concerns facing PgMP exam candidates: What are the essential concepts, processes, and tools that form the foundation of today’s program management? Since program management is still an emerging profession with professionals often working in different ways, what does this mean for a "standard" exam? More specifically, how does that impact your ability to pass the PgMP exam? What is the best way to prepare for the PgMP exam? To address the first concern, this book highlights the underlying rationale for program management: why it exists in organizations; why it is becoming ever more important; what programs are, especially for the purpose of passing the exam; how to think like a portfolio manager; and what the most important concepts, processes, and tools are for this profession. By simplifying complex ideas and communicating them in plain English with relevant examples, this book aims to help readers not only to pass the PgMP exam but also to serve as an essential guide for program managers. For the second concern, this book differs from other study guides by describing the author’s personal experience as a program manager and addressing the most pressing questions for each of the performance domains in The Standard for Program Management. To address the last concern, this book contains 420 practice questions, access to an online exam simulator and an online PgMP community, and a time-tested approach for passing the PgMP exam.
Book Synopsis Parental Belief Systems by : Irving E. Sigel
Download or read book Parental Belief Systems written by Irving E. Sigel and published by Psychology Press. This book was released on 2014-02-25 with total page 501 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Research on the topic of parent beliefs, or parent cognition, has increased tremendously since the original publication of this volume in 1985. For this revised second edition, the editors sought to reflect some of the new directions that research on parent cognition has taken. By offering a greater variety of topics, it gives evidence of the intellectual concerns that now engage researchers in the field and testifies to the expanding scope of their interests. Although a unique collection because it reflects the diversity that exists among major researchers in the field, it evinces a common theme -- that the ideas parents have regarding their children and themselves as parents have an impact on their actions. This emphasis on parents' ideas shifts the focus on sources of family influence to ideas or beliefs as determinants of family interactions. The implication of this way of thinking for practitioners is that it suggests the shift to ideas and thoughts from behavior and attitudes.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Persian syntax has been analyzed within various theoretical models to explore language specific rules that generate various syntactic structures such as passive, relative clause, interrogative, etc. This book offers a comprehensive, updated delineation of Persian syntax with reference to the P&P approach, which posits that the language faculty incorporates a set of principles of Universal Grammar (UG) that are invariant across languages and their associated parameters that vary from one language to another. In addition to the theoretical dimension of the approach, the book also examines the significant implications of the approach in the realms of first language acquisition, second language learning, translation, and language typology.
