Baehr and published by Springer-Verlag. This book was released on 2013-03-08 with total page 200 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Environmentally acceptable refrigerants will not, or only to a small extent, deplete the stratospheric ozone-layer. For five environmentally acceptable refrigerants, comprehensive tables of their thermodynamic properties are presented here for the first time. All tables are based on extensive measurements of high precision and are generated from accurate fundamental equations of state.

Book Synopsis Marine Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning by : James A. Harbach
Download or read book Marine Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning written by James A. Harbach and published by Schiffer + ORM. This book was released on 2009-06-30 with total page 439 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Due to a strong industry need, many academies and technical schools now offer courses on refrigeration and air-conditioning. Marine Refrigeration and Air Conditioning introduces this complicated subject in a detailed, straightforward manner. Mechanical refrigeration is used onboard in many ways, including refrigerated ship’s stores, air-conditioning, and refrigerated cargo storage areas. Although reciprocating compressors have been the standard for decades, systems using rotary and centrifugal compressors are quickly becoming the norm. Author James A. Harbach addresses both systems and discusses the changes step-by-step. Since the 1990s, environmental concerns have had a major effect on refrigeration and air-conditioning systems. Today’s students are required to learn how to retrofit existing systems and replace entire units. These tasks are explained fully in this title.

Book Synopsis Thermodynamic Properties of an Azeotropic Freon-22 and Freon-115 Mixture by : I. S. Badylkes
Download or read book Thermodynamic Properties of an Azeotropic Freon-22 and Freon-115 Mixture written by I. S. Badylkes and published by . This book was released on 1967 with total page 12 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An azeotropic mixt. of Freon-22, 48.8%, and Freon-115, 51.2%, has a b.p. of -45.6C. Its vol. cooling power is considerably higher than that of Freon-12, Freon-22, and Freon-115. This mixt. is neither explosive nor toxic. Two equations for calculating the vapor pressure were used: ln p = A + (100 B/T) + C ln (T/100) - D(T/100) to the 6th power and P = (RT/v double prime) + +((c'T - f')/v double prime sq.) + ((a'T - b')/v double prime sq.), where p is the pressure in atm. abs., A = 7.246308, B = -13.738168, C = -3.3686219, D = -0.000048709009, P is the pressure in kg./sq.m. abs., v double prime is the sp. vol. of dry satd. vapor, a' = -0.000006274858, b' = -0.0044939876, c' = 0.029740256, f' = 15.951252, R = 7.5920074, and T is the temp. in degrees K. In the temp. range from 203.16 to 323.16K, the max. deviation between the pressure values obtained from these equations was 0.09%. Thermodynamic properties and sp. vols. of the super-heated vapor are given. The mixt. may be used in industrial equipment designed for operation with NH3 and Freon-22.
