Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Handbook of Thermal Conductivity of Liquids and Gases covers practically all of the data available on the thermalconductivity of pure liquids and gases. Thermal conductivity data included in the book is based on original experimental measurements and correlations recommended or adopted as a standard by the National Standard Reference Data Service of the Russian Federation. New tabulations of thermal conductivity data on high-molecular organic fluids and the alkali metals in both liquid and gaseous states are featured as well. This book will be an important reference for all researchers working in thermodynamics.

Download or read book Thermophysical Properties of Matter - The TPRC Data Series. Volume 3. Thermal Conductivity - Nonmetallic Liquids and Gases written by Y. S. Touloukian and published by . This book was released on 1970 with total page 715 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The TPRC Data Series published in 13 volumes plus a Master Index volume constitutes a permanent and valuable contribution to science and technology. This 17,000 page Data Series should form a necessary acquisition to all scientific and technological libraries and laboratories. These volumes contain an enormous amount of data and information for thermophysical properties on more than 5,000 different materials of interest to researchers in government laboratories and the defense industrial establishment. Volume 3 in this 14 volume TPRC Data Series covers nonmetallic pure substances and mixtures which are in the fluid state at normal temperature and pressure, including 12 elements (plus two isotopes of hydrogen), 10 inorganic compounds, 33 organic compounds, 82 binary systems, 23 ternary systems, and eight systems with more than three components. For the elements, recommended thermal conductivity values are presented for solid, saturated liquid, saturated vapor, and gaseous states. For the other pure substances, recommended values are presented for saturated liquid and gaseous states for fluid mixtures, graphically smoothed values are given in addition to the original experimental data.

Book Synopsis Estimated Viscosities and Thermal Conductivities of Gases at High Temperatures by : Roger A. Svehla
Download or read book Estimated Viscosities and Thermal Conductivities of Gases at High Temperatures written by Roger A. Svehla and published by . This book was released on 1963 with total page 132 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Viscosities and thermal conductivities, suitable for heat-transfer calculations, were estimated for about 200 gases in the ground state from 100° to 5000° K and 1-atm pressure. Free radicals were included, but excited states and ions were not. Calculations for the transport coefficients were based upon the Lennard-Jones (12-6) potential for all gases. Intermolecular force constants for this potential were obtained from experimental viscosity data or were estimated when data were not available. The same set of constants was used to calculate both viscosity and conductivity. An Eucken-type correction for exchange between internal and translational energies was made for thermal conductivities of polyatomic gases.
