De même, chez la femme allaitante, de nombreux médicaments sont contre-indiqués et peuvent avoir des conséquences sur l'enfant via le lait maternel. Cette thèse a pour objectif de mettre à jour les bonnes pratiques concernant les prescriptions de médicaments chez la femme enceinte et allaitante selon les données acquises de la science et les recommandations actuelles. De plus, elle aurait vocation à être un outil à la pratique quotidienne pour éviter les erreurs au cabinet dentaire. Dans une première partie, nous avons abordé les risques que peuvent entrainer la mauvaise prise médicamenteuse durant la grossesse et l'allaitement, que l'impact soit maternel, foetal ou néonatal. Dans un deuxième temps, nous avons étudié les médicaments d'utilité dans la pratique de la médecine bucco-dentaire. Enfin, la troisième partie est dédiée à l'étude des recommandations actuelles de prescription chez la femme enceinte et allaitante de la part des organismes d'influence et des autorités compétentes en matière de santé en France. Nous proposons d'établir un document destiné à aider le chirurgien-dentiste dans sa pratique quotidienne et à faciliter le choix de la prescription chez cette patientèle.

Les résultats montrent des disparités quant à la réalisation de soins dentaires au cours de la grossesse. L'implication des sages-femmes dans la prévention reste aléatoire et l'information des patientes semble insuffisante par manque de formation continue. La majorité des femmes enceintes interrogées sont également peu sensibilisées par l'existence et l'intérêt du bilan de prévention. Des progrès restent à faire quant à la prise en charge bucco-dentaire des femmes enceintes par une harmonisation des pratiques professionnelles. La prévention bucco-dentaire chez ces patientes pourrait avoir un meilleur impact par une information pluridisciplinaire."

The cephalosporins have long provided satisfactory treatment for many disorders without causing serious side effects; and over the past fifty years forms with different antimicrobial, pharmacologic and toxicologic properties have been developed. Despite the broad spectrum of their activity against a large variety of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, the third-generation oral cephalosporins including the prodrug esters do not work against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, methicillin-resistant staphylococci, enterococci or Bacteroides species. Many, however, are suitable for treating infections of the respiratory and urinary tracts and of the skin and its structure, as well as certain sexually-transmitted diseases. Authors consider other possible uses, against multi-resistant Enterobacteriaceae for instance, but also point out the limitations of the oral cephalosporins. Since 2008, more than 289 million insecticide-treated mosquito nets have been delivered to sub-Saharan Africa, enough to protect three quarters of the 765 million persons at risk of the disease. Over the last decade, 11 countries in the Africa Region and 32 countries in other regions showed reductions of 50% or greater in either confirmed malaria cases or malaria admissions and deaths.
