In Not Part of the Plan, they open up their lives in the most raw and relatable way, sharing their own journeys through unexpected seasons of infertility, singleness, loss, and heartbreak. Book Synopsis The Women with Passion by : Jane Cherop Sang
Download or read book The Women with Passion written by Jane Cherop Sang and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2015-03-03 with total page 29 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Women of faith in pursuit of wisdom! Why was I led to write this book? As I sat down in my living room, doing my daily chores, the Holy Spirit nurtured me and directed me to listen to some CDs for women who spoke at the Wisdom Center in one of the conferences in our church. These women had been used by God mightily that weekend. Gods appointed time and season are perfect; redeem the time because the days are evil. As I listened keenly to every word spoken at that moment, God started teaching me how a woman can be impactful to those around her. A woman of faith has the wisdom and her confidences are in God. After meditating on and focusing on the Lord, the Lord stirred in me a spirit to start drafting a book on women of faith. Great ideas started to flow in my spirit, and one thing led to another. To write a book is not easy, but it requires passion. Thank you for taking the time to read this book. The Holy Spirit is no respecter of persons. Do not ever, ever underestimate what God can do in your life. This could be a new beginning of a new life for you. I pray that as you come across this precious book, you will never be the same again. Believe me, the Bible says let us keep our faith and confidence in him without wavering, for in due season, we shall reap. Because he who has began a good work in us will bring it to completion. His promises are ye and amen, your God will never leave you nor forsake you. Get that in your spirit. I love my fellow women of God who are soldiers of Christ, pressing on toward the plan of God in their lives. They are unshakable and unstoppable in pursuit of the wisdom. They are special in the eyes of God. They carry an anointing that no one else can give other than the creator, God Almighty. I am inspired by these women because their time is spent in Gods presence, wanting to know what God has in store for their future. Time will tell if we tire not lingering in his presence hour after hour. In addition to that, search and read Gods word, praying to see if they are in agreement with him. They are strong, courageous, and victors! And if I may ask, are you one of them? God has put something special in the heart of a woman! Thank you! Celebrate yourselves as a kingdom conqueror. Powerful, isnt it? Praise God.

Book excerpt: Beautiful, rebellious Bess Fitzmaurice is mesmerized by Dan McCaffrey, an American of Irish descent who has come to Ireland to aid the Fenian revolt against British tyranny. He appears in her home on May Eve 1865, fleeing British forces. To Bess, Dan is the mythical Donal Ogue, the hero of a famous Irish poem, returned to rescue Ireland--but right now, he is an American Civil War veteran on the run. Bess and her brother, Michael, get Dan to a ship, and they flee to America. In 1865, America is a nation ravaged by four years of Civil War. Bess discovers that among the Irish-American Fenians money and power and patriotism are entangled in bewildering and demoralizing ways, while Dan McCaffrey surrenders to the corruption of New York City politics. The Fenians' invasion of Canada and their goal of holding the English colony hostage for a free Ireland become a hot issue in a power struggle between Democrats and Republicans. When the American federal government double-crosses the Fenians, forcing thousands of Irish Civil War veterans to abandon the Canadian invasion after winning the first battle, acrimony engulfs the movement, leading to feuds, name-calling--and murder. In despair, Bess quits the Fenians and finds love in the arms of former Union General Jonathan Stapleton. Their idyll, however, is soon interrupted by Dan McCaffrey, who forces her to choose between him and her new lover. A Passionate Girl is a riveting novel that takes the reader into a forgotten chapter in Irish-American history and provides an eye-opening look at the devastating impact of America's Civil War.

Book Synopsis Passionate Women, Passive Men by : Janet Hadda
Download or read book Passionate Women, Passive Men written by Janet Hadda and published by State University of New York Press. This book was released on 2012-02-01 with total page 239 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Suicide is always a controversial issue. Among Jews, it is often taboo. Stereotypically, Jews do not commit suicide; certainly, they do not discuss it. Passionate Women, Passive Men: Suicide in Yiddish Literature challenges this perception, exploring the problem of suicide through a series of literary case studies. Hadda investigates the lives of these fictional suicides, asking the question: What could be so wrong in a person's life that suicide—although forbidden by the Jewish religion—would seem preferable? Proceeding from the theoretical standpoint that the psychoanalytic process concerns narratives and their interpretations by an analyst, the author argues that the techniques of psychoanalysis may be fruitfully employed for the study of literature. Through sensitive psychoanalytic attention to narrative nuance, the author reaches surprising conclusions about the function of suicide for the characters she analyzes.
