In 1982 he gave these images to Stern magazine reporter Günther Schwarberg, who, in turn, bequeathed them to the Yad Vashem memorial site in Jersualem, which acknowledged the trove as a 'unique find' equal insignificance to the founding of the Holocaust Memorial Institute itself. This is the first time these images have been published in their entirety.
