Download or read book Encountering the Lord in the Gospel of Mark written by Leo Zanchettin and published by The Word Among Us Press. This book was released on 2021-10-15 with total page 147 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As you pray through the Gospel of Mark, you’ll discover his story is filled with good news and amazing miracles. Mark tells us about Jesus from the perspective of outsiders, those who, like Jesus, suffered rejection and isolation. He wants you to see how Jesus loves you, and desires to fill you and transform your life. You’ll meet wonderful characters. For example, the father of a boy with epilepsy in Mark 9 who humbly admits his unbelief and cries out for help, and the men in Mark 2 who believe in Jesus enough to want to tear up a roof and lower their friend down on a stretcher for Jesus to heal him. In the end, their stories are our stories. And only as we become like them will we encounter the goodness and love of Jesus.

Book Synopsis A Treasure Trove of Spiritual Jewels by : Isiah Lawrence Nottage
Download or read book A Treasure Trove of Spiritual Jewels written by Isiah Lawrence Nottage and published by Strategic Book Publishing & Rights Agency. This book was released on with total page 286 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In his new book, A Treasure Trove of Spiritual Jewels, Bishop Isiah Lawrence Nottage presents eighteen gemstones for readers. This provocative, exciting, eye-opening book is a must-read. It proves the following: ? Jesus Christ made a roundtrip from earth to heaven and back within twelve hours on Easter Sunday Morning (Jesusday Morning). ? Judah, a Hebrew man, and Tamar, a colored Canaanite woman, were the father and mother of the tribe of Judah. ? The author explains Daniel chapter 11:1-45 verbatim/verse by verse, proving events that occurred in the remote past before Christ was born. ? There is 100 percent scriptural proof that Mary’s husband Joseph was the holder of David’s scepter as the spiritual king of the Jews, until Shiloh, or Jesus Christ, took it over and became the Messiah and the Spiritual king of the Jews. ? Biblical proof shows there were two resurrections on Easter Sunday Morning/Jesusday Morning. Bishop Nottage also discovers Moses’ family-clans in the scriptures and what their occupations were in Israel. Divine truth: Jesus Christ is not the Almighty God, but rather the son of God. A Treasure Trove of Spiritual Jewels unravels many more spiritual gold nuggets and spiritual mysteries.
Download or read book The Secret written by Byron Preiss and published by ibooks. This book was released on 2016-10-05 with total page 1 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The tale begins over three-hundred years ago, when the Fair People—the goblins, fairies, dragons, and other fabled and fantastic creatures of a dozen lands—fled the Old World for the New, seeking haven from the ways of Man. With them came their precious jewels: diamonds, rubies, emeralds, pearls... But then the Fair People vanished, taking with them their twelve fabulous treasures. And they remained hidden until now... Across North America, these twelve treasures, over ten-thousand dollars in precious jewels, are buried. The key to finding each can be found within the twelve full color paintings and verses of The Secret. Yet The Secret is much more than that. At long last, you can learn not only the whereabouts of the Fair People's treasure, but also the modern forms and hiding places of their descendants: the Toll Trolls, Maitre D'eamons, Elf Alphas, Tupperwerewolves, Freudian Sylphs, Culture Vultures, West Ghosts and other delightful creatures in the world around us. The Secret is a field guide to them all. Many "armchair treasure hunt" books have been published over the years, most notably Masquerade (1979) by British artist Kit Williams. Masquerade promised a jewel-encrusted golden hare to the first person to unravel the riddle that Williams cleverly hid in his art. In 1982, while everyone in Britain was still madly digging up hedgerows and pastures in search of the golden hare, The Secret: A Treasure Hunt was published in America. The previous year, author and publisher Byron Preiss had traveled to 12 locations in the continental U.S. (and possibly Canada) to secretly bury a dozen ceramic casques. Each casque contained a small key that could be redeemed for one of 12 jewels Preiss kept in a safe deposit box in New York. The key to finding the casques was to match one of 12 paintings to one of 12 poetic verses, solve the resulting riddle, and start digging. Since 1982, only two of the 12 casques have been recovered. The first was located in Grant Park, Chicago, in 1984 by a group of students. The second was unearthed in 2004 in Cleveland by two members of the Quest4Treasure forum. Preiss was killed in an auto accident in the summer of 2005, but the hunt for his casques continues.

Book excerpt: Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians on F.I.R.E. is an inductive commentary that goes beyond mere explanation of the text, taking students of the Bible, pastors, and professors on a journey to discover its life changing wisdom for themselves. Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.’s eleventh book in the F.I.R.E series helps readers develop the necessary skill set to become familiar with the Bible passage they are studying, interpret it accurately, relate it to its surrounding contexts, and employ it personally. F.I.R.E. is the acronym used for the study. This mnemonic (or memory) device stands for familiarity, interpretation, relationship, and employment. The author uses all four of these steps each time the reader travels through a section of Scripture. The twenty-one chapters in Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians on F.I.R.E. explore the book of Ephesians beginning with the riches of the believer as espoused in the first major division (1:1–3:21) and explicates the second major division concerning how the saints are to practice their position (4:1–6:21).
