Book excerpt: In February 2018, our small church in the sleepy town of Newfoundland, Pennsylvania held a marriage blessing ceremony and invited members from around the world to bring their AR 15 rifles. Planning this event had begun more than 6 months before. Although there was concern about the recent tragic events in the Parkland, Florida school shooting, it was our sense that if God had inspired us 6 months ago, He wasn't going to change His Mind due to one lunatic. There was no way we could have anticipated the firestorm of publicity that followed. "Gun Church in PA Blesses AR 15's!" "The Gun Church in Pennsylvania!" screamed the headlines! This book tells the real reasons for the ceremony, and how those are related to the serious challenges facing our nation and world.I would urge people to get a copy! An excellent apologetic for the 2nd Amendment. A handbook for dealing for some of the big mistakes people make when talking about the 2nd Amendment, self-defense and limiting the power of government. An excellent compilation of some of the major 2nd Amendment topics we need to have at our finger tips!Larry Pratt, Host Gun Owner's News Hour Radio on GCN

Book excerpt: The New York Times bestselling author of The Benedict Option draws on the wisdom of Christian survivors of Soviet persecution to warn American Christians of approaching dangers. For years, émigrés from the former Soviet bloc have been telling Rod Dreher they see telltale signs of "soft" totalitarianism cropping up in America--something more Brave New World than Nineteen Eighty-Four. Identity politics are beginning to encroach on every aspect of life. Civil liberties are increasingly seen as a threat to "safety". Progressives marginalize conservative, traditional Christians, and other dissenters. Technology and consumerism hasten the possibility of a corporate surveillance state. And the pandemic, having put millions out of work, leaves our country especially vulnerable to demagogic manipulation. In Live Not By Lies, Dreher amplifies the alarm sounded by the brave men and women who fought totalitarianism. He explains how the totalitarianism facing us today is based less on overt violence and more on psychological manipulation. He tells the stories of modern-day dissidents--clergy, laity, martyrs, and confessors from the Soviet Union and the captive nations of Europe--who offer practical advice for how to identify and resist totalitarianism in our time. Following the model offered by a prophetic World War II-era pastor who prepared believers in his Eastern European to endure the coming of communism, Live Not By Lies teaches American Christians a method for resistance: • SEE: Acknowledge the reality of the situation. • JUDGE: Assess reality in the light of what we as Christians know to be true. • ACT: Take action to protect truth. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn famously said that one of the biggest mistakes people make is assuming totalitarianism can't happen in their country. Many American Christians are making that mistake today, sleepwalking through the erosion of our freedoms. Live Not By Lies will wake them and equip them for the long resistance.

'He shall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter's vessels'-as I also have received from My Father". Here there is a promise to mankind, and that promise has to do with the rod of iron. Among other things in this world or universe, why a rod of iron? What is so special about rod of iron? In this journey, we looked at the 'rod of iron' from a holistic view point and its relevance to man and his immediate environment. Unraveling the mystery of the rod of iron from the biblical events to the present day experience and relevance that qualifies the rod of iron as a worthy price for the winners of the faith race. Christ's life on earth was planned as a fulfillment of the scripture from Genesis to revelation. Right from Genesis when man was created, God saw that man cannot be alone. Meaning, life is a pair of two things or more. As man needs a companion so a workman needs the tools. The workman and the tools are a pair working together to do a job. The left and right legs are a pair that makes movement possible. The same principle was defined in the life of Christ as the good shepherd. In the life of Christ as a young boy, he was seen rendering assistance to His foster father, Joseph who was a carpenter. This means he used tools as every other carpenter does. The tools and the carpenter work together as a pair. One cannot do without the other. In the Old Testament, Moses and Aaron his spokesman, used a rod as a companion. Wherever they went, they went with the rod. It was through that rod God manifested his power as an instrument. God uses anything to show His ability. The Rod in the case of Moses was an example. Now, it is good to unravel the mystery behind the rod among other instruments. I mean, why a rod? Why not a stick or any other thing used? This will lead us into the journey of the iron rod and how it symbolizes Christ in fifteen dimensions. In the Slavic mythology, they believe the rod was the creator. That is, the God of the universe directing the cosmos. He actually was all there was. He was born by himself. In the beginning, there was only darkness, and Rod was like a bud, trapped in the egg. When he gave life to the goddess of love, Lada, the shell was broken and love was spilled out (This way of creation of the Universe is very similar to the Big Bang). "Rod" just as similar to word "rozhanitsa", is derived from the Common Slavonic root word meaning "birth", "origin", "kin". In modern Slavic languages, the word "rod" means "kin", and "rozhenitsa" is "a woman in childbirth". He cut the umbilical cord and separated celestial waters from the waters of the ocean, putting the land between them. When freed from the egg, Rod continued with the creation. Then he created a Mother Earth that entered the ocean. Rod is the creator of all gods. At the end of creation, Rod made celestial bodies, nature, and natural phenomena. The sun was made from his cheeks, the moon from his breasts, the star from his eyes, the sunrise and sunset from his forehead, dark night from his thoughts, the wind, rain, snow from his breath and the city from his tears, and thunder and lightning from his voice. Rod then became the principle of the universe. Rod actually represented a monotheistic side of the Slavic religion. Although there were many gods among Slavic people, Rod actually represented god we know him today in monotheistic religions. When he finished his goal, he disappeared. Rod became a principle and stopped to appear as a god, stopped interfering with the lives of mortals and gods directly, but he was still present in the universe and he affected all. He was in everything, in fact, he was the foundation of everything. All visible and invisible represented Rod. We see the mystic significance of this rod in fifteen dimensions of our day to day life as you dig
