Main goal of this study is to understand what factors motivates people better and increase their (i) work performance, (ii) organizational commitment, and (iii) job satisfaction. For this purpose, this study is focused on the factors influencing motivation, work performance, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction. Although the previous research was abundant, there was no research directly focused on four of them at the same time. Moreover, there wasn't a single model to tell about how to increase the level of those focused four variables at the same time. This study (i) combined the empirical data of the related literature to create a model, (ii) then simplified the combined model to create a simple testable literature model, and (iii) tested the simplified literature model. A certain type of section in Organization X was focused to test the model. The actual model-in-use created after conducting interviews with the members of that specific type of section. For the final step, the differences between simplified literature model and actual model-in-use was discussed and recommendations were given. A total of ten independent variables were determined after analysis of interview data. The nine of the independent variables in the actual model-in-use was matched with the independent variables of the simplified literature model. The actual model-in-use has a new independent variable. As the last step of the research, recommendations were formed according to interview data or personal experience; to close the gap.

The paper used purposive sampling for the selection of the respondents. Questionnaires were distributed to the respondents for statistical analysis. The study utilized linear correlation coefficient to analyze the data collected. The study revealed a number of findings including: there is a significant correlation between organizational commitment and employee performance, there is a significant correlation between moral or affective commitment and job performance, there is statistically significant correlation between continuance commitment and job performance. Based on the findings, some recommendations were made most importantly: Nigeria University should lay more emphases on the provision of social responsibility to its workers, owners, society and other stakeholders. Finally, the success or failure of any organization depends on its workforce. Adequate motivation and remuneration boost the employee moral to work harder towards achieving or accomplishing challenging task or goals.

Statistical population of this research includes visiting lectures of Ghorveh town who were teaching in the academic year of 2016-2017. Sample size of 60 participants was selected by simple random sampling. To collect data, Meyer and Allen organizational commitment questionnaire and Field and Rothe job satisfaction questionnaire were used. The research method is correlation which is incorporated in the area of applied studies to analyse data, descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation), and inferential statistics (Pearson correlation coefficient and multivariate regression) were utilized. The findings show that there is positive and significant relationship between organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Regression coefficient shows that organizational commitment predicts 42.2 % of the job satisfaction changes.

Without trust or the lack of it among organizational members and between management and employees, organizational communication, knowledge management, organizational performance, and involvement may tend to close down. Trust has been identified as a crucial ingredient for organizational effectiveness. A linkage between trust and job satisfaction in private organizations has been established by researchers; however, in the U.S. federal government, the linkage between organizational trust and job satisfaction has not yet been studied. This study, therefore, explores the relationship between organizational trust and job satisfaction in seven selected small, medium, and large U.S. federal agencies. This study indicated that there are no significant differences between males and females, however, significant differences in attitudes between supervisors and nonsupervisors were found regarding what good communications meant and how they interpret the question, "top management truly listens to employees' concerns." Nonsupervisors tend to disagree more frequently than supervisors. The study also found that there are significant association between gender, age group, job location, position, and occupation and agency. The differences in attitudes between supervisors and nonsupervisors about what would make communications seem good and what would contribute to the belief that top management listens to employees' concerns lead to the conclusion that there is a disconnection among organizational members and among management and employees. This disconnection may lead to mistrust, job dissatisfaction and the difficulty in attracting and retention of human talents.

Organizational commitment was found to mediate the relationship between job satisfaction and job performance of non-managerial employees in the commercial banks in Sri Lanka.

This research identifies and determines the correlation of organizational commitment, job satisfaction and job performance among 327 rank and file employees of Mary Grace Cafe (MGC) using descriptive statistics and correlations. Findings showed that research respondents are more of female, single, college graduate, belongs to 23-27 age groups, and have stayed with MGC for less than five (5) years. Organizational Commitment and Job Satisfaction appeared to have a positive correlation signifying that the higher the organizational commitment is, the higher their job satisfaction. Apparently, similar outcome is obtained on the relationship between organizational commitment and job performance as well as job satisfaction to job performance at .05 level of significance. Morever, the results revealed that age, gender and educational attainment of MGC employees influence their organizational commitment, job satisfaction and job performance. Based on the result of the study, a work enhancement program has been designed that propose tasks not only to maintain but also to strengthen employees' level of commitment, satisfaction and performance.
