According to Muslim scholars, the beauty of Islamic law is that it is not stagnant. The Qur'an applies to all ages and periods. Dr Younos succefully demonstrates not only the principles of Islamic sociology as an academic discpline, but also a new thinking and vision for a Muslim society in the contemporary world. This book answers a compelling question: In what way should Muslims decide on their social exsitence in the age of globalization? Reforms within Muslim soieties is a must. The only solution is reform their socio-political system by impleminting Islamic vlaues based upon a new interpretation of Islam. Principles of Islamic Sociology has managed to achieve that goal.

Book Synopsis Principles of Islamic Psychology by : Farid Younos
Download or read book Principles of Islamic Psychology written by Farid Younos and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2017-05-09 with total page 140 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Psychology is the study of mind, and this is exactly why the Quran put a great emphasis between the relationship of man and his Creator and the role faith plays intellectually and spiritually in our lives. The Quran is a book of wisdom, and it includes all aspects of human life. Religion, as a matter of fact, is an intellectual property that cannot be seen. So the mind cannot be seen. Human beings are curious creatures. This curiosity elaborated in the story of Abraham when he wanted to find the truth for himself. Finding the truth is a principle of science and research. Islamic psychology is based on three principles, namely theo-ethics, socio-ethics, and psyco-ethics, which discusses human relations from a psychological point of view. It is the mind that relates to all aspects of life. Therefore, Islamic psychology deals with all spheres that originate from God alone. For that, ego or self plays a major role and makes mankind responsible for all his actions. Since Islam is a religion of unity, then all processes of mind interrelate to not only self but also to God and society. Therefore, like any other field of knowledge, it is hard to separate psychology or the study of mind from other life principles. As a matter of fact, it is the mind that regulates other affairs, being good or bad. Islamic psychology emphasizes on making humans responsible for their inner soul activities, which lead either to felicity or destruction. Since religion is an intellectual property, then the study of mind is also a spiritual and intellectually property.
Book Synopsis The Robert Hussein Case by : George J. Gatgounis
Download or read book The Robert Hussein Case written by George J. Gatgounis and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2022-05-27 with total page 106 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Of the many influential religious-liberty cases with which the Rev. Dr. George Gatgounis, Esq., has been involved, his work through the Rutherford Institute as counsel on the Robert Hussein case in Kuwait is certainly one of the most compelling. Hussein was a Kuwaiti citizen sentenced to death by his government in the 1990s for converting to Christianity. When efforts by his legal team and U.S. officials failed to overturn the sentence, Hussein fled to America but eventually converted back to Islam and returned to Kuwait. This thoroughly footnoted book provides unique insight into the Islamic legal system and how the United States might respond to it.
