On one flip side of the coin, others contend that apostleship flourished during the foundational era of the early church but is no longer in its full force operation in the church arena today. On the other extreme end, are those who strongly believe that apostleship is a biblical generational grace sovereignly bequeathed upon believers by God, hence modern apostles exist and possess the same dimension of power and degree of authority as the first Apostles of the early church. It is for this reason that the apostolic gift has been widely overlooked in the church today and remained a mystery as a consequence.
