In the early territorial days of Minnesota, about sixty years ago, when the first Swedish immigrants came to this, the summit of the central valley of America, they found in this wilderness a country and a climate resembling very much that of the fatherland. Here they decided to toil for the earthly treasures and blessings their imagination had portrayed before they undertook the lonesome and perilous journey.
