Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The New Testament Validates Torah is a study that all Messianic Believers need, especially in the current season of considerable growth and expansion in which our broad faith community finds itself. On the whole, today's Messianic movement holds that the Torah or the Law of Moses remains valid instruction for God's people, and that Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) did not come to abolish or do away with it (Matthew 5:17-19). Yet throughout much of Christian history, many theologians have argued that the Law has been rendered inoperative, and/or that it was only to be followed by those in the pre-resurrection era. Many Messianics are incapable of responding to the common arguments delivered by their Christian family members, friends, acquaintances, or even various pastors and teachers that they know, who quote verses to them from the Apostolic Scriptures (New Testament) which supposedly prove that the Law has been “done away.”Has Moses' Teaching been abolished? This publication is a lengthy study that analyzes and critically examines, in detail, a wide number of New Testament passages that are commonly offered as proof texts to claim that the Torah is not to be followed by those in the post-resurrection era. Statements such as not being “under the Law” (Romans 6:14-15), “Christ is the end of the Law” (Romans 10:4), “All things are lawful” (1 Corinthians 6:12), “abolishing…the Law of commandments contained in ordinances” (Ephesians 2:15), “having nailed it to the cross” (Colossians 2:14), and many more, are considered. Considerable attention is given to the Greek source text of the Apostolic Scriptures, and where translation errors into English appear to have been made by various modern versions. Cross-examination and discussion with a wide number of commentators have also been offered, as well as an exploration of important subjects present within today's Biblical Studies. The New Testament Validates Torah is an important apologetic study that will benefit Messianic Believers and evangelical Christians alike. There is literally nothing in today's Messianic movement that has compiled as much information on Torah relevance for God's people into a single book. Also, unlike some other publications issued on the message of Torah relevance, The New Testament Validates Torah is highly respectful to Christian voices over the centuries who have valued what they have considered to be the "moral law" of the Old Testament, and seeks to honor those who have preceded us in the faith.

Book excerpt: Today's broad Messianic movement is of the conviction that the Torah or Law of Moses is relevant instruction for God's people in the post-resurrection era. This is a conviction firmly rooted within the teaching of Yeshua the Messiah, who explicitly said that He did not come to abolish or eliminate the Torah (Matthew 5:17-19). Yet throughout much of Christian history, and even more so today, many theologians and examiners have argued that Moses' Teaching has been rendered inoperative, and/or that it was only to be followed by those in the pre-resurrection era. Many of today's Messianic people, while having a witness of the Spirit that God's commandments are to be written on their hearts and minds via the New Covenant (Jeremiah 31:31-34; Ezekiel 36:25-27), are not equipped well enough to answer common arguments delivered by evangelical Protestant family members, friends, acquaintances, or even various pastors or teachers that they know-when they quote verses to them from the Apostolic Scriptures (New Testament), in support of the premise that the Torah of Moses has been abolished. The New Testament Validates Torah is a massive resource that all of today's Messianic Believers need, especially in the current season of growth, development, and expansion in which our faith community finds itself. This publication is an extensive compilation of data across the wide range of books and commentaries available from Messianic Apologetics. The core of this resource is an examination of fifty passages, which are commonly used as proof texts to claim that the Torah is not to be followed by God's people today. Statements such as not being "under the Law" (Romans 6:14-15), "Christ is the end of the Law" (Romans 10:4), "All things are lawful" (1 Corinthians 6:12), 'how is it that you turn back again to the weak and worthless elemental things" (Galatians 4:9), "abolishing...the Law of commandments contained in ordinances" (Ephesians 2:15), "having nailed it to the cross" (Colossians 2:14), and even "Thus He declared all foods clean" (Mark 7:19)-among many-are thoroughly addressed. Considerable attention is given to various Hebrew and Greek issues, potential translation differences, and differences of perspective. Cross-examination and discussion with a wide number of commentators have also been offered, as well as an exploration of important subjects present within today's Biblical Studies. The New Testament Validates Torah is an important apologetic study that will benefit Messianic Believers and evangelical Christians alike. There is literally nothing in today's Messianic movement that has compiled and packed as much information on Torah relevance for God's people into a single book. Also, unlike some other publications issued on the message of Torah relevance, The New Testament Validates Torah is highly respectful to Protestant voices over the centuries who have valued what they have considered to be the "moral law" of the Old Testament, and seeks to fairly honor those who have preceded us in the faith, establishing common ground where possible.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There are many aspects regarding the subject matter of "the Torah" for today's broad Messianic movement to consider. These range from: the validity of the Torah or Law of Moses, the historicity and reliability of the Torah, the degree of applicability of the Torah to Jewish and non-Jewish people, the role of tradition in following the Torah, and changes affected to the role of the Torah in the post-resurrection era via the sacrifice of Yeshua (Jesus). Some of these aspects surrounding Messianics' study and appreciation of the Torah are handled quite well by the current generation, and some of them are frequently avoided or handled rather poorly. The Messianic Torah Helper is a valuable compilation of articles and analyses designed to assist you, your family, and your friends in approaching those important areas of the Torah which need to be considered. How have Jews and Christians approached the Law of Moses in their theology? What are some of the controversies surrounding the Pentateuch? Has the Law been abolished? Are Jewish and non-Jewish Believers in Israel's Messiah both supposed to keep the same basic Law? Does Jewish tradition play any kind of role in following Moses' Teaching? Are non-Jews who keep the Torah trying to replace the Jewish people? These questions, and many more, are some of those considered in the Messianic Torah Helper. If you have ever inquired about a wide range of Torah-related issues, then the Messianic Torah Helper is definitely something for you. This book is an excellent follow up to the extensive study The New Testament Validates Torah by J.K. McKee.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is Volume 2 of The New Messianic Version of the Bible. It contains The Prophets. Is there something missing from your Bible? Yes. The New Messianic Version of the Bible is raising eyebrows in the world of Bible translators The New Messianic Version, challenges both Jews and Christians to see that the whole Bible is Jewish. It restores the names of people and places to their "Jewish" pronunciation, translates every name of people and places so that it reads much like an "Amplified Bible." Author Tov Rose explains, "Today, Jewish people and Christians alike suffer a similar kind of blindness: They do not know their God. I know, that looks like an inflammatory statement, but please give me to the end of the book to present my case before passing judgment. There is a secret hidden in your Bible." This groundbreaking book answers the one question most Christians and Jewish people alike get wrong, "Who is the God of the Hebrew Bible?" Again, Tov, "If you said, 'God the Father' then you got it wrong, and I'm going to prove it to you." "In the New Testament book of John 6:46 Jesus says, 'No man has seen The Father...' then who have people seen?" It clearly shows you who the author really is, and it isn't God the Father. Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Jews are challenged by the implication the Tanakh is an incomplete Bible without the New Testament understanding the Yeshua (Jesus) is the God of the Hebrew Bible. Christians are challenged with the fact that they are joined to the Jewish people through faith in the Jewish Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus). Christianity can only be truly understood only from a Jewish perspective, hatred of Jewish people (aka: Anti-Semitism), can have no place with followers of Jesus. In short, The New Messianic Version restores the Jewish flavour and understanding of those first generation followers of Jesus.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The authors seek to identify the recurrent tensions, the blatant points of emphasis, the recurring indications of conflict and polemic. Framing the issue of the disposition of the Scriptural heritage in broad terms, they describe what characterizes the Gospels and the Mishnah, the letters of Paul and the Tosefta. In other words, if they take whole and complete the writings of first and second century people claiming to form the contemporary embodiment of Scripture's Israel and ask what they all stress as a single point of insistence, the answer is self-evident. Nearly every Christianity and nearly all known Judaisms appeal for validation to the Scriptures of ancient Israel, their laws and narratives, their prophecies and visions. To Scripture all parties appeal - but not to the same verses of Scripture. In Scripture, all participants to the common Israelite culture propose to find validation - but not to a common theological program subject to diverse interpretation. From Scripture, every community of Judaism and Christianity takes away what it will, but not with the assent of all the others.

Book excerpt: Today's broad Messianic community has some significant struggles with the Apostolic Scriptures or New Testament. This has been one of the major causes for TNN Press starting the for the Practical Messianic commentary series, and why we continue to add new volumes to it. An important part of our complete book commentary series has been to provide an Author's Rendering appendix, based on the public domain 1901 American Standard Version, incorporating various renderings and translations proposed. The Apostolic Scriptures Practical Messianic Edition takes this a step further, and incorporates various other renderings and translations proposed, from an entire selection of TNN Press materials, from both completed Practical Messianic commentaries and the remainder of the New Testament for which we have planned future volumes. There have been a number of useful and beneficial Messianic editions of the Apostolic Scriptures produced, notably including the Jewish New Testament and Tree of Life-Messianic Family Bible, both intended for congregational reading and private study. The Apostolic Scriptures Practical Messianic Edition is a little different in that it is rooted within the research and conclusions defended in the TNN Press Practical Messianic commentary series, and other titles, such as The New Testament Validates Torah and various volumes of the Messianic Helper series. There are renderings present in the PME which you are not likely to see in any other Messianic version, although they are taken from various proposals made in contemporary Biblical Studies. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Epistle to the Hebrews is one of the most overlooked texts in the entire Bible, and is greatly unappreciated by many in today's Christianity, as well as the Messianic movement. A profoundly spiritual and intellectual masterpiece, the theme of this treatise is undeniably Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ), and His supremacy over all. The author engages his audience by describing Yeshua as the Creator, being superior to angels, Moses, Joshua, and as mediator of the New Covenant. The author comes to these conclusions using some very unique ways, employing First Century rhetoric and literary devices that often evade your average reader. His sacrifice has provided men and women with permanent atonement for their sins, if they will truly choose to accept it.The Epistle to the Hebrews asks First Century questions for a First Century audience. The Jewish revolt in the Land of Israel was just getting started, and the Temple was on the verge of being destroyed. Many Jews from all over the Mediterranean world—who had acknowledged Yeshua as Messiah—did not know what to do. Was this the end of their faith? Many were at the possible point of denying the Lord. The author of Hebrews, employing carefully constructed and Scripturally-based arguments, advocates that to not heed the warnings of the past brought Ancient Israel extreme judgment—and to deny the Messiah would bring even worse judgment. The bulk of his arguments are deeply rooted in the Jewish theology of the First Century that we see attested to in a variety of ancient sources such as the Septuagint, the Apocrypha, the Pseudepigrapha, the Dead Sea Scrolls, Josephus, Philo, and traditions later recorded in the Mishnah and Talmud. In the commentary Hebrews for the Practical Messianic, TNN Online editor J.K. McKee tackles some of the difficult hermeneutical questions that are asked when we consider this text for today. Hebrews asks ancient questions that had to be answered by an ancient audience: Hebrews has background issues that cannot be answered solely by a surface reading of the text. Who wrote Hebrews? When was it written? How broad was its original audience? These are some of the many questions that surround Hebrews. The Twenty-First Century questions that Hebrews asks are difficult for many Messianics to consider: What should the role of the Greek Septuagint be in our theology? Do we ever make the mistake of uplifting the Torah over Yeshua? How do we maintain a high regard for Moses, but understand that Yeshua is superior? In a very careful way, the issues of Hebrews are addressed fairly and scholastically. We need to understand who Yeshua is to us, who Moses is to us, what the New Covenant is to us, and how we should never lose sight of our saving faith in Him. You will see that the Epistle to the Hebrews is a truly inspired and profound text.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We all love a good story. The Torah, or Pentateuch, is regularly defamed as "law." Actually, it's a saga about our search for happiness and how the God of the Bible fits into it. Lacing legal material into narrative punctuated with poetry, the Torah contrasts two provocative personalities named Abraham and Moses. Fascinating and fickle, their adventures portray two visions of approaching God. The Torah was written to render a verdict on who is the best model. This book demonstrates that Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy are a unified narrative, framed as contrasting biographies, proclaiming a coherent message. It surveys each book's structure and themes to determine its argument and then articulates the Torah's message for people of all time, its vision of human happiness. It establishes that the Torah is the core of the Jewish and Christian Bibles and shows how the rest of the Bible elaborates its message. Ending with suggestions to help you read it, this book is your invitation to the Torah.

This book was released on 2013-10-01 with total page 730 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The New Messianic Version of the Bible is becoming increasingly popular among believers in Yeshua (Jesus) because it puts back into an English language Bible some significant things that have been left out of other versions. Is there something missing from your English Bible? Yes. As a matter of fact, there's a LOT missing from your English Bible translation that is present in the original languages! The New Messianic Version, challenges both Jews and Christians to see that the whole Bible is Jewish. It restores the names of people and places to their "Jewish" pronunciation, and it translates every name of people and places in-line with the text, so that it reads much like an "Amplified Bible." Additionally, Author Tov Rose says, "Today, Jewish people and Christians alike suffer a similar kind of blindness concerning the nature and person of God: Because of this, they do not know their God as they should. There is a secret hidden in your Bible, and this is the only Bible that reveals it." This groundbreaking book answers the one question most Christians and Jewish people alike get wrong, "Who is the God of the Hebrew Bible?" Again, Tov, "If you said, 'God the Father' then you got it wrong, and I'm going to prove it to you. For example, in the New Testament book of John 6:46 Yeshua (Jesus) says, 'No man has seen The Father...' well then," says Tov, "who have people seen?" This Version clearly shows you who the "author" really is, and it isn't God the Father. The New Messianic Version clearly tells you which Old Testament Names of God represent Father God, and which others represent The Son of God--an ancient teaching understood by the New Testament authors and other 1st Century followers of Messiah. Tov again, "For example, just look at Isaiah 44:6: 'Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: "I am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me."' Then look at the New Testament's book of Revelation 22:13 "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” Obviously, there is something more to our theology that is clearly misunderstood among many of today's Christians and Jews alike. "Yeshua (Jesus) said unto them, 'Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I AM.'" (John 8:58)." Jews are challenged by the implication that the Tanakh is an incomplete Bible without the New Testament understanding that Yeshua (Jesus) is the God of the Hebrew Bible. Christians are challenged with the fact that they are joined to the Jewish people through faith in the Jewish Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus). Christianity can only be truly understood only from a Jewish perspective, hatred of Jewish people (aka: Anti-Semitism), can have no place with followers of Messiah. In short, The New Messianic Version restores the Jewish flavour and understanding of those first generation followers of Jesus.
