President Isaac Herzog has failed to mediate discussions between relevant political figures over Netanyahu's illegal judicial overhaul. Herzog described his two critical roles as "averting a historic constitutional crisis and stopping the continued rift within our nation." Furthermore, the Supreme Court President of Israel, Chief Justice Esther Hayut denounced Netanyahu's illegal plan to undermine Israel's judicial and legal system, saying it would deal a fatal blow to the country's democratic identity. It should also be noted, that the status quo is not working in Israel-Palestine - with thousands of innocent People having been killed since the founding of Israel. The only solution is a Bi-National state to manifest Peace. In view of increasing violence between Israels Defense Forces (IDF) and Hamas, de-escalation is essential now. In particular the killing of innocent Civilians and Children by violent extremists must stop in Israel-Palestine. To prevent a power vacuum in Israel-Palestine - and a potential civil war - the NGO BTB-Global Peacebuilding will be handling matters in Israel-Palestine in the meantime; such domestic policy, foreign policy and Human Rights issues in Israel, Palestine and Gaza - until a lasting Peace has been manifested in the land. This includes manifesting Equal Rights, Legal Equality and Public Safety for ALL in Israel-Palestine. We encourage the People in Israel-Palestine - in particular the Government of Israel, the Palestinian Authority and Hamas - to engage in Peace Talks; so that a Bi-National State, Equality and Democracy can be manifested in the land. The solution is quite simple: create a true democracy, i.e one person one vote. Reconciliation may take some time, but that's the only way for a lasting Peace in Israel-Palestine. Hence a Bi-National State - following the South African example to end apartheid - would be the best way to go, in our opinion. We invite all People in Israel-Palestine and the International Community - in particular the Arab/Muslim world and Israel/Jewish Community - to join our anti-apartheid political movement so that Legal Equality and Democracy can be manifested in a Bi-National State. Book excerpt: Speaking before a group of foreign ambassadors to the United Nations on one of his final days in office, President Reuven Rivlin in New York issued a plea to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to "forget about the past" and work together with Israel to achieve peace. "We are not doomed to live to together, we are destined to live together. It's our role to end conflict," Rivlin said in a speech at the tail-end of his farewell tour in the United States. "Let's forget about the past. Let's build confidence. There are opportunities to achieve a bright future for our peoples. We are interested in continuing to work with the UN in order to meet the humanitarian needs of the people of Gaza, with whom we have no conflict," Rivlin said. Hence it is imperative that peace and harmony are manifested in Israel-Palestine; and that all parties concerned start working towards a just and fair Middle East peace plan - as well as restoring human rights, human dignity and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) in the region. It is also imperative that the Bennett-Lapid government is fair and just; and that policies implemented are free from systemic injustices, so that equal rights and legal equality can be manifested in the land. This also means that Hamas's extremist leaders - in particular Mr. Ismail Haniyeh, Mohammed Deif and Marwan Issa - need to reconcile and make peace with Israel. Otherwise the Gazans must find a new leadership, so that the Gaza blockade can finally be lifted, and the UDHR can be restored in the land. It should also be noted, that more than 2.5 million Palestinians live under Israeli rule but cannot vote in national elections. This must change. All people in the land should be eligible to vote and stand for election - as stipulated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). This also means that legal equality and equal rights must be manifested in Israel-Palestine by legislation. Hence it is imperative that the Knesset implements the necessary legislation that ALL people in the land are equal under the law, and eligible to vote and stand in national elections. Failure to do so, will increasingly label Israel as an Apartheid State. That is the reality of the situation, Mr Naftali Bennett and Mr Yair Lapid! In other words, the Israeli judicial system alone, will not be able to manifest legal equality in the land. The Knesset - in particular the Bennett-Lapid government - will also have to do its part.

Rathbun sets forth a comprehensive theory of diplomacy, based on his understanding that political leaders have distinct diplomatic styles—coercive bargaining, reasoned dialogue, and pragmatic statecraft.Drawing on work in the psychology of negotiation, Rathbun explains how diplomatic styles are a function of the psychological attributes of leaders and the party coalitions they represent. Book excerpt: From the preface: "The 1966 'Human Factors' edition focused on the contemporary threat of Maoist insurgencies, particularly in Southeast Asia, and also drew extensively on World War II resistance movements in Europe. Much of this information is still relevant and has been retained and integrated. In the post-Cold War world, the most important insurgencies tend to be ethnic and religious. Long-simmering conflicts, sometimes with roots in colonial policies, have become prominent; examples include the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in Sri Lanka, Euskadi Ta Askatasuna (Basque Homeland and Freedom or ETA) in Spain, the Hutu-Tutsi genocides, the Ushtia �lirimtare e Kosov�s (Kosovo Liberation Army, or KLA), and the Provisional Irish Republican Army (PIRA). Battle lines in these conflicts are often drawn along ethnic lines, even when land or politics are the immediate issues in contention. We were able to draw on more recent work in psychology, political science, economics, sociology, organizational studies, and communications studies.
