Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do" - Steve Jobs Legends create history everyday. The status of being a legend is reserved for the chosen few who believe they are destined for greatness. Achieving success is your ability to eliminate the weaknesses and biases that are inherent within yourself. History tells us that not all greats have off-the-chart IQs, nor are they born with limitless freedom. In fact, it is this triumph over less than favorable circumstances and their determination to achieve that we tend to respect the most. The people who have changed the world are people like you and I. They set out to achieve outstanding results and make their decisions within intellectual criteria. All the greats have engaged a higher impulse, a higher bandwidth, and an inherent strength. [Pg. 43, The Jetstream of Success] Author, Julian Pencilliah, lives by five rules daily: ·Believe with an extravagance ·Think with a sophistication ·Exceed probability amplitudes ·Smile with Radiance ·Get Lucky The Jetstream of Success is a book filled with crystallized wisdom and intellectual processes that is meant to help the reader become more sophisticated in their thinking. As powerful as the lessons are, they required context; a sense of connection with the reader. It is for this reason the author takes you on a journey across the world to live through his real life experiences to serve as analogies that unveil the potential within you. The chapters are filled with entertainment that is delivered through the richest writing and locations around the world. Whether it's going face-to-face with a great white shark in the depths of the Atlantic, dancing the samba at the Rio Carnival or being on a game drive with Virgin billionaire Sir Richard Branson, every single chapter will keep you captivated and completely engrossed. The Jetstream of Success has been written to help the reader to reinvent themselves more conducive to their goals. The book was not intended to be an easy read. In fact, it was designed to challenge the reader to take a leap of vision and piece together an ever-fuller understanding of themselves so they can redefine their lives and as a result, their futures. "The book is based on the realization that the richest awakening of yourself will unveil life's deepest mysteries" - Julian Pencilliah

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The business community is beginning to recognize something it has intuitively felt for a long time: that success does not mean financial gain alone; that business must yield emotional, mental, and spiritual prosperity for all men everywhere in the world. The fact has finally emerged that the root cause of failure is separativeness and the pursuit of individual success at the expense of others. In - The Spring of Prosperity - Torkom Saraydarian stated that true prosperity is the abundance in our life of virtues, health, and friends, as well as money. Nature is abundance itself, and man has that same treasury within him. Since the publishing of that book, the author has been asked what are the secrets of success, and how can a person be very successful in life and still remain loving, kind, and caring. In Dynamics of Success Torkom Saraydarian provides a comprehensive and multidimensional look at success. He states that to achieve success, we must approach life in an integrated manner: We need to fulfill the physical and material requirements and also the spiritual qualities, and we need to eliminate all hindrances in our life that prevent our success. Success is an integral part of prosperity. It is in our highest interest and in the interest of humanity to know how to be successful and prosperous in life without the violation of the fundamental laws of Nature. People have the idea that being a successful person automatically means that one is not a decent person. This is not true. In order to benefit ourselves, as well as gain ever inclusive benefits for humanity, it is essential that we train ourselves and our children how to find a job, keep it, and succeed in it; and how to instill the right values and right motives, how to be truly successful, and how to find the purpose of life. To move ahead in life and to insure our global survival we need the right values, practically applied. Dynamics of Success presents practical and easy to follow guidelines on the road to success in your career and your life. Apply and practice the ideas in this book and see how you and all those around you will have success which is true direction, abundance, and prosperity.

This book was released on 1973 with total page 84 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Four registered channels (0.2 to 4, 6.5 to 7, 10 to 11, and 20 to 23 microns) of the Nimbus 3 Medium Resolution Infrared Radiometer (MRIR) were used to study 24-hr changes in the structure of an extratropical cyclone during a 6-day period in May 1969. Use of a stereographic-horizon map projection insured that the storm was mapped with a single perspective throughout the series and allowed the convenient preparation of 24-hr difference maps of the infrared radiation fields. Single-channel and multispectral analysis techniques were employed to establish the positions and vertical slopes of jetstreams, large cloud systems, and major features of middle and upper tropospheric circulation. Use of these techniques plus the difference maps and continuity of observation allowed the early detection of secondary cyclones developing within the circulation of the primary cyclone. An automated, multispectral cloud-type identification technique was developed, and comparisons that were made with conventional ship reports and with high-resolution visual data from the image dissector camera system showed good agreement.

Book excerpt: Eleven daring test pilots recount their experiences at the forefront of aeronautical innovation in this oral history of the Jet Age. In the years after World War II, a select band of British test pilots risked everything in the quest to fly further, faster, and higher than ever before. Their vital work made our modern age of air transport possible. This book captures the stories of eleven such pilots, as told in their own words. Britain’s aircraft industry was booming in the late 1940s, and the demand for test pilots was seemingly limitless as new aircraft designs—some legendary and others nearly forgotten—were being built. Royal Air Force veterans who had distinguished themselves in the war suddenly had a vital new mission. First, they pursued the almost mythic goal of breaking the sound barrier. But once this was accomplished, they found themselves approaching speeds no one imagined possible. Their stories of that time are both colorful and insightful—and often tinged with humor.

The presentation is done in a concise yet detailed form that the reader easily finds relevance in retracing steps towards his or her life goals.

Book excerpt: This book is a fully updated and revised second edition of a highly successful text in which a new concept of knowledge mining, based on explication and transfer of interventional knowledge of experts, has been implemented. The dedicated training program that is set out will serve the needs of all interventional operators, whether cardiologists, vascular surgeons, vascular specialists, or radiologists, enabling them to achieve a consistent expert level across the entire broad spectrum of catheter-based interventions. Operator skills – and in particular decision-making and strategic skills – are the most critical factors for the outcome of catheter-based cardiovascular interventions. Currently, such skills are commonly developed by the empirical trial and error method only. The explicit teaching, training, and learning approach adopted in this book permits the rapid transfer of interventional knowledge and enables individual operators to negotiate steep learning curves and acquire complex skills in a highly efficient manner. It will thereby offer invaluable assistance in meeting successfully the challenges of modern cardiovascular care.

Book excerpt: British industry at the start of the New Elizabethan Age was a world leader. The first - British - jet airliner was taking to the skies, the first nuclear power station was under construction at Calder Hall and British firms were pioneering the computer. Our shipyards reigned almost supreme, and from Britain's factories came cars, lorries, buses, heavy machinery, aircraft and locomotives, exported all over the world. Sixty years on, many of these industries and millions of jobs have disappeared, while competitors have flourished. Much of what remains is under foreign ownership. Britain has lost many export markets, and essential goods have to be imported. How did all this happen? Britain's loss of competitiveness has traditionally been blamed on outdated working practices, failure to invest and modernise, poor management, bloody-minded unions, the loss of Empire and the ability of post-war Germany and Japan to rebuild from scratch. All this is true, but the picture is far more complex. The role of Whitehall and successive governments, Britain's relationship with Europe, corporate greed, misjudgement and even suicide, and sheer bad luck all play a part. In Surrender, Nicholas Comfort revisits the past six decades and identifies some of the factors behind the greatest mass extinction since the dinosaurs.
