Book Synopsis Romeo and Juliet Vs. Zombies by : Koji Steven Sakai
Download or read book Romeo and Juliet Vs. Zombies written by Koji Steven Sakai and published by . This book was released on 2015-03-07 with total page 326 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Two households, both alike in dignity, In fair Verona, where we raise our dead. Romeo - the only heir to the Montague name, a socialite who dreams of making a name for himself as a playwright and the consummate lover; he seems just as famous for his kissing skills as he is infamous for his inability to do much of anything else. Juliet - Capulet heiress, born soldier; in most every way, the precise opposite of Romeo. She's spent her entire life trying to find some way out of her insufferable life as a noblewoman, and so far she's had precious little luck. When a black plague breaks out in the city of Verona, these two feuding families are met with far more trouble than a mere feud, no matter how longstanding and bloody that feud has been. In this grim reimagining of Shakespeare's most famous tragic romance, Romeo and Juliet must form an unlikely alliance if they ever intend to survive being overrun by a horde of ravenous, flesh-seeking un-dead.

Download or read book Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet written by William Shakespeare and published by Forgotten Books. This book was released on 2015-06-11 with total page 306 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet This edition of Romeo and Juliet, first published in 1879, is now thoroughly revised on the same general plan as its predecessors in the new series. While I have omitted most of the notes on textual variations, I have retained a sufficient number to illustrate the curious and significant differences between the first and second quartos. Among the many new notes are some calling attention to portions of the early draft of the play - some of them very bad - which Shakespeare left unchanged when he revised it. The references to Dowden in the notes are to his recent and valuable edition of the play, which I did not see until this of mine was on the point of going to the printer. The quotation on page 288 of the Appendix is from his Shakspere: His Mind and Art, which, by the way, was reprinted in this country at my suggestion. Download or read book Unforgiven (Classic Reprint) written by Anna C. Ellis-Reifsnider and published by . This book was released on 2015-07-12 with total page 298 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from Unforgiven "Two long, long years!" A pair of dark eyes swam in tears, and two cherry lips quivered as Juliet Hudson said, or rather sighed, these words. She had just completed an exquisite toilet, and stood a moment before a mirror to see if the picture reflected there was adorned with perfect taste. The tears and trembling lips certainly did not please her, for she dried the former upon a lace handkerchief, and resolutely compressed the latter. "It shall never be said of me, that I hesitated to do anything to please those I love, and who love me, when I know it is the best thing to do. I should only be too glad to go." But the tears did not cease to flow so quickly, nor the red lips remain compressed; and being quite alone and feeling that it was a good opportunity to indulge them, she sank down in a velvet chair and gave way to one of those little showers of tears which come to us like April rains, that freshen and revive, and after which the sun seems to shine more resplendent than before. When Juliet stood before her mirror again she was more pleased with her reflected image, for it was a very rainbow in its brightness.
