For the Morning Readings, the Life of our lord jesus christ, from His Birth to His Ascension, has been arranged in historical sequence from the four Gospels. The Epistles from the Book of Common Prayer have been used as often as possible for the Evening Readings, and other appropriate passages from the Old or New Testaments, that there may be consecutive teaching as well as variety from day to day, and so as to suggest and mark the wonderful harmony of thought throughout the Whole of the Inspired Volume.
