He explores the lives of men and women who have redirected the extreme nature of their former ways. Book excerpt: 'An extraordinary, authentic example of discipleship, and the honouring and validation of the radiant "broken jewels" on society's margins.' Stewart Henderson, poet, broadcaster and lyricist Zac’s Place is a church in Swansea. It is a small chaotic community of Jesus followers where some of the most fragile of life’s walking wounded try to work out their faith. It’s also the spiritual home for the local chapter of God’s Squad motorcycle club. Zac’s Place, founded in 1998, is led by Sean Stillman, whose front-line ministry has cost him dearly and has included physical beatings. In Zac’s Place, chaos and disorder sit alongside community and grace in an environment resembling an AA meeting mixed with a casualty department. This is Sean’s personal story of a transformed faith amid the broken, the church community that formed from it and the European-wide growth of an unlikely bunch of biker missionaries. God’s Biker asks the questions, ‘What if it’s not about perfection? What if it’s about beauty in broken places?’

Book excerpt: Eighteen countries. Five shock absorbers. Two bikers. One amazing adventure... After their fantastic trip round the world in 2004, fellow actors and bike fanatics Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman couldn't shake the travel bug. Inspired by their UNICEF visits to Africa, they knew they had to go back and experience this extraordinary continent in more depth. And so they set off on their 15,000-mile journey with two new BMWs loaded up for the trip. Their route took them from John O'Groats at the northernmost tip of Scotland to Cape Agulhas on the southernmost tip of South Africa. Along the way they rode some of the toughest terrain in the world -- and met some of the friendliest people. They rode their bikes right up to the pyramids in Egypt and visited Luke Skywalker's house in Tunisia. They met people who had triumphed over terrifying experiences -- former childhood soldiers in Uganda and children living amidst the minefields of Ethiopia. They had a close encounter with a family of gorillas in Rwanda and were nearly trampled by a herd of elephants in Botswana. Riding through spectacular scenery, often in extreme temperatures, Ewan and Charley faced their hardest challenges yet. With their trademark humor and honesty they tell their story -- the drama, the dangers and sheer exhilaration of riding together again, through a continent filled with magic and wonder.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Motorcycling has become more than a fad in America. It is now a pastime for a growing number of people. Entire families are riding dirt bikes and ATVs for recreation. Motocross racing is the fastest growing motor sport behind NASCAR and has captured the imagination of an entire generation of fans who enjoy the excitement of extreme sports. Roy Jenkins started riding motorcycles in the early 70s and was a successful amateur racer by the time he graduated from High School. Today he is a motocross racing announcer, chaplain, teacher and journalist. Racing Fuel for the Spirit is his second book written for motorcycle riders who want inspiration and spiritual growth from the Bible. Using his 20 years of Bible teaching experience and Masters degree in Biblical Studies, this ordained minister leads weekly devotions at motocross and Arenacross races in Mississippi and Louisiana. He uses stories from his years as a Pastor, River deck hand, Oil-field commercial diver, school teacher and most importantly as a husband and father. He throws in some stories from his experiences from motocross racing, cross-country motorcycle trips, and even sailing adventures. Photos from the people, places and events are sprinkled liberally throughout the book. His calling, gift and purpose is to get the Bible into the hands of people who wont normally read it for themselves. He uses a real life story, raises an interesting question, then brings in the appropriate Bible principle, sometimes finishing off with a memorable quote for the day. In this book he includes photos from the world of motorcycling and beyond to help the reader picture the inspirational thought. Racing Fuel for the Spirit is especially helpful for those who are too busy to read, but are interested in hearing how Gods Word applies to a wide range of everyday topics such as: love, family, worry, prayer, patience, health, competing, depression, work, school, getting old, enjoying life, hope,

Book excerpt: When a bike gang rolls into a town on their motorcycles, forty or fifty strong, it sounds like rolling thunder in the distance. As they get closer, people have been known to say;" a gang thundered into town last night and ripped up the place." This is the reputation that we had, when I was a member of the Henchmen Motorcycle Club. "The Lord thundered from heaven, and the Highest uttered His voice; and He sent out arrows, and scattered them; lightning, and discomfited them. 2 Samuel 22:14-15" Even though we were one of the most notorious biker gangs in Canada, we were no match for a God who thunders from heaven. This is a story about a loving God, who sends forth thunder and lightning in order to bring hardened sinners to a personal relationship with Him. The thunder is frightening at first, and the storm can change everything in its path, but it leaves everything new, and brighter than before. This is my story of how I came face to face with the God who thunders from heaven. As a young man, Dale Hoch was a member of the Henchmen Motorcycle Club. He was brought out of a life of drugs, gang wars, prison, and violence-changed by the power of God!He is currently the pastor of World Outreach Ministries, which he and his wife, Edith, founded. He also hosts a weekly radio broadcast, "Ministry in the Word," on Faith FM 94.3 in Kitchener, and has a weekly television ministry called "Faith On Fire" on Daystar Television. Dale has travelled and ministered extensively in youth rallies, evangelistic services, prison ministry, camp meetings, and crusades. This has taken him to countries such as India, Egypt, Mexico, Haiti, Trinidad, Jamaica, Sri-Lanka, Cuba, and countries in Africa as well as throughout Canada and the U.S.A. He has seen many miracles and thousands receive Christ as their Saviour.
