Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From humble beginnings, Loma Linda University Health has grown to become a major health care and educational center impacting people around the world. Back in 1905, pioneer Seventh-day Adventist Ellen G. White insisted that such an institution be established somewhere in Southern California, near Redlands and Riverside. She also predicted properties would become available that were far below their initial price. Fellow Adventist pioneer John Burden found a property that had failed in two previous business ventures--first as a hotel, then as a sanitarium. The asking price was already well below the property's value, and the buildings were already fully furnished and stocked. "Make an offer," White told him. With his own money as down payment, Burden set in motion what has become a network of multiple hospitals and professional schools. Miracle upon miracle was needed to keep the fledgling organization afloat. Be inspired by the way the hand of Providence has--and continues to--work on behalf of Loma Linda.

Book excerpt: This short book is a thirty-day devotional focusing on the glory of Christ; that is, the character of Jesus, and it is for the sole purpose of magnifying Jesus’ great name by increasing one's devotion and love for Jesus through the simple revelation of His Word. The beholding of Christ's beauty through His word ought to be the Christian's chief enjoyment; it is what gives our souls life, strength, hope, and joy; through it, we are made better and constrained to love Christ more. And so, this devotion seeks to lay before the reader glimpses of God's glory in the face of Jesus Christ, that they might be urged on to a more devoted and zealous life for Jesus.

Our intention is to bring ministries into a global virtual reality hybrid school/university system where there is homeschooling, teaching in the assembly, and combining it in the classrooms with on-the-job training. Walking Your Vision University teaching is systematic theology. There are 195 countries in which we will expand this training over the period of five to ten years. The above paragraph is the summation of our mission statement.

The Mystical City of God is a monumental four-volume history of the life of the Blessed Virgin Mary, as revealed by Our Lady to Venerable Mother Mary of Jesus of Agreda (1602—1665), a 17th century Spanish nun. Venerable Mary saw in ecstasy all the events recorded within the books. Later, Our Lady told her to write them down—the result is The Mystical City of God, acclaimed by Popes, cardinals and theologians, a book which has inspired the laity and the clergy for over 300 years and which has gone into sixty editions in various languages. Arguably, the most important book—second only to the Bible—ever to have been written. The Mystical City of God, revealed to Mother Mary of Jesus by Heaven itself, complements and completes the story of the life of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ but, in addition, provides the rich history of the entire life of His Most Blessed Mother. Through the study of Our Lady, we come to know Her, Her Son and the Blessed Trinity in ways never before imagined. The Mystical City of God consists of 4 volumes; The Conception, The Incarnation, The Transfixion and The Coronation. This is the unabridged Volume I, “The Conception”, containing Books 1 and 2. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Volume 39 Sermons 2289-2341 Charles Spurgeon (19 June 1834 – 31 January 1892) is one of the church’s most famous preachers and Christianity’s foremost prolific writers. Called the “Prince of Preachers,” he was one of England's most notable ministers for most of the second half of the nineteenth century, and he still remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations today. His sermons have spread all over the world, and his many printed works have been cherished classics for decades. In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to more than 10 million people, often up to ten times each week. He was the pastor of the congregation of the New Park Street Chapel (later the Metropolitan Tabernacle) in London for 38 years. He was an inexhaustible author of various kinds of works including sermons, commentaries, an autobiography, as well as books on prayer, devotionals, magazines, poetry, hymns and more. Spurgeon was known to produce powerful sermons of penetrating thought and divine inspiration, and his oratory and writing skills held his audiences spellbound. Many Christians have discovered Spurgeon's messages to be among the best in Christian literature. Edward Walford wrote in Old and New London: Volume 6 (1878) quoting an article from the Times regarding one of Spurgeon’s meetings at Surrey: “Fancy a congregation consisting of 10,000 souls, streaming into the hall, mounting the galleries, humming, buzzing, and swarming—a mighty hive of bees—eager to secure at first the best places, and, at last, any place at all. After waiting more than half an hour—for if you wish to have a seat you must be there at least that space of time in advance—Mr. Spurgeon ascended his tribune. To the hum, and rush, and trampling of men, succeeded a low, concentrated thrill and murmur of devotion, which seemed to run at once, like an electric current, through the breast of every one present, and by this magnetic chain the preacher held us fast bound for about two hours. It is not my purpose to give a summary of his discourse. It is enough to say of his voice, that its power and volume are sufficient to reach every one in that vast assembly; of his language, that it is neither high-flown nor homely; of his style, that it is at times familiar, at times declamatory, but always happy, and often eloquent; of his doctrine, that neither the 'Calvinist' nor the 'Baptist' appears in the forefront of the battle which is waged by Mr. Spurgeon with relentless animosity, and with Gospel weapons, against irreligion, cant, hypocrisy, pride, and those secret bosom-sins which so easily beset a man in daily life; and to sum up all in a word, it is enough to say of the man himself, that he impresses you with a perfect conviction of his sincerity.” More than a hundred years after his death, Charles Spurgeon’s legacy continues to effectively inspire the church around the world. For this reason, Delmarva Publications has chosen to publish the complete works of Charles Spurgeon.
